Title: NBA offseason
Post by: theomen on August 16, 2002, 02:27:10 PM
This NBA offseason has been pretty well filled with movement by teams who are already winners.  But it looks like two teams are making their teams even better, namely the Nets....and more importantly MY KINGS!!!

They just signed Mike Bibby to an 80 million dollar contract, and they just got Keon Clark from the Raptors.  With the addition of Clark, the Kings will be an amazing team to watch.  I just can\'t wait for basketball season, so the Kings can lay the smack down on the Lakers

Im just waiting for the bulls to be hot again..so I can stop going to games with  bag on my head.

Knicks+McDyess=playoffs

Now if Layden would just pull the trigger on a Kurt Thomas and Charlie Ward for Nick VanExel trade...

Shockwaves ... *snickers*  Keep dreaming.

Yeah, I\'m looking forward to watching The Kings again this year.  They pushed the Lakers to the edge last year ... and can only get better.  The same can be said for the Lakers though, now that Diesel\'s got his free throws down:(

ANYWAY, your team  the nets made the trade with my team, the sixers.  You really think they benefitted with that trade?  Mutumbo, IMO, hasn\'t been very productive for the Sixers.  The Sixers, however, benefit with a forward who\'s a great shooter, take some pressure off of Iverson, and a center who\'s got all the potential in the world.

I like the Kings\' chances of taking all the way this year.. But the Lakers are still defending champs, so yea. I always see Dallas as a huge threat. Too many good teams nowadays.. Makes it exciting. :)

Go Clippers. They will make it to the playoffs without question.

Ethan, Van Horn sucks.

And yeah, McDyess is an all star quality player who had like 20 points and 10 boards a game in his last full season.  If he is anywhere even near that, Knicks make the playoffs.

And the Sixers suck, especially Iverson.  Most overrated player in the league.

No matter what your personal problems are with a person you have never met....Iverson gets the job done.

Van Horn doesn\'t suck.  He\'s a great shooter.

The only half assed player on the Knicks is Sprewell, they\'ll need more than that, much more.

And, Sixers in the eastern conference semi-finals this year:-D

Spreewell seems to help them win quite often..my vote for halfassedness goes to larry johnson.

Um...he\'s long since retired.

Houston is inconsistant as hell.  Spree is the most popular player, and their best last year.  I just think that McDyess is just what they needed.  They are a decent PG away from being a really good team now.

As for Iverson, I just see that low FG % and lose a lot of respect for his PPG totals.  Most shots in the NBA, easily.  If Shaq took that many shots, which he could, he\'s get 40 a game.

I never said he was or wasnt..so that point is moot.

Houston is great..but like you said inconsistent. NY still needs help..via couch!!

Either way..I was speaking to the person directly above my reply..not you. :)
