Post by: PS2_-'_'-_PS2 on August 18, 2002, 05:38:31 PM
Has anyone else seen a movie called "Alien abduction : the McPherson tape", i dont know why but i was watching it with some friends and we were all $hitting it the whole way through especially the end, i still $hit it every time i see a red light!!, i think the thing that made it scary was the fact that it is real!
There are no special effets or anything and it is filmed buy a teenager on a digital video camera:( :)

The Changling  - decent horror.
Other than that, not a lot...What use to be scarey, isn\'t so scarey anymore. A lot of it changes when you grow older.

As for decent slasher flicks. I recommend The SleepWay Camp series.

I think that \'Cube\' was one of the scariest movies I have ever seen. It was pretty cheap and crappy, but its concept and all the blood was what was really scary.

from all the horror movies ive seen (scream, scream 2, i know what you did last summer.....) they all sucked. the only movie that has truly scared me and coulnt sleep cuz of it, is definately SIGNS.

Cube was lame.. Very gay movie. Crappy plot, acting and the effects were cheesy at times too..  13 ghosts, now there\'s some good effects.

Most horrors have crappy plot these days.. Blair witch was different that\'s what made it "scary"  i laughed though :)  But most things have been done to death. I want something NEW in horror.. Give me 3D headsets. Where u can look around. Now dat would be scarry

That\'s gotta be horribly embarassing on a date ya know. How do you explain it to the cops. "Sorry sir, but I couldn\'t stop at that red light... I\'m on my last pair of undies. Wait a sec.. is that a red light up on top of your squad... *(Squirts)*"

Scariest movie is possibly The 6th Sense, and the Others had some moments. The Exorcist is up ther too, but not much else.

However I think it\'s a testament to the strength of the medium that no movie I\'ve ever seen can inspire the feelings of fear that the Silent Hill series does.

6th sense?  I thought that was pretty tame.

the only movie to disturb me EVER was Signs, and I\'ve seen pretty much all of them.

It was actually the other way around for me. I didn\'t find Signs to be even remotely scary, heck the aliens were hilarious. I liked the movie, but for entirely different reasons.

Bone Collector. Not horror, but pretty damn scary all the same.

Children of The Damned also got me freaked.

The first Halloween was pretty great for a scare considering how low budget it was.  I think it\'s the music.  As for Blair Witch, I\'m sorry, but me and my uncle laughed the entire time throughout that movie.  What a joke.

The Shining

When I was little, Stephen Kings \'Sleepwalkers\' creeped the hell out of me... damn cats! :)

I watched the restored version of The Exorcist last night. I guess it was pretty creepy when it was first released, but nowadays it isn\'t really that scary.

I personally thought The Excorcist was a funny movie. I\'m not sure why, though. :)

Signs was a pretty good movie, all the others are just plain hilarious and somewhat disappointing. Not because they sucked (most did) but, because the people I hoped weren\'t going to die, died. :p

Racer, you didn\'t list bone collector did you?  Oh my...

A very scary movie at the time for me was Exorcist 3..  I was a junior in college and at UF back in 91 we had a serial killer running around.  It was very bad.  He actually cut the people up and posed them so when people walked in they were horrified.  He cut one ladies head off and put it on the mantle.  He killed 4 or 5 people over the course of a couple weeks.

Anyway, I went and saw this movie in the theater at that time.  Oh my.  Scared the crap out of me.  The scene where they had all those cups of blood in the room and not one drop on the floor was so much like what was going on in real life..

I just thought it was so damn not good.  To each his (or her) own.

Terrible script.  I hate movies with no side plot or no extra things going on.  Shows no dimension.

Kiss the girls is another movie like that.  Terrible boring straight to the point script.

What the heck are you talking about? Maybe its that crap TV version that I never could make it through, but the Kubrick version of The Shining is frickin\' awesome and it is not a dog bowl the guy in the dog custom is drinking out of - at least not in the Kubrick version.

Go now! Rent it! It has Jack Nicholson in it for christ sake! Not to mention Kubrick directed it.
