Or is this spam crack down actually working....cuz i need my post count...it was my security blankie

Post by: on August 22, 2002, 10:33:41 PM: I got use to not looking to my left to see my post count. Well, since I got to 500posts, I\'m not keeping track. I think it is helping somewhat with the spam.

The post counts were there and people started to brag about em, thus the people with lower post counts wanted to gain more posts to be among the elite....but it was mostly spam...and what i dont realize is that..it isnt about how many posts you have...its about the quality of each post....

670 (0.87 posts per day / 0.26% of total posts) hmmm that is since July of 2000. And I would say 50 of those come in the last few days with all the Madden stuff going on.

Me I\'m glad there is no post count visible anymore.

Oh this post makes 671 ;) Can\'t wait till I get to 1000 :rolleyes:

Now\'a\'days everyone is over the 500 mark, has their pictures and most even have those custom user titles / custom colors (that I think should of never been given, except to choosen members by admins / mods) . So. really we have no reason to see the post count. It still goes up - but now people are less likely to look at it at every post and think "gee, I\'m only 300 away from 4,000, I think I\'ll go on a spam spree tonight!" .

Goodbye to visible post counts. Lets them stay hidden in the users profile and that be the end of it.
I also vote to take away custom user titles / custom colors, \'cept to select members, did I mention that?

I do like the title change though. Ive seen a few people say that they comepletely ignore noobies, which kind of sucks. But I hope I get an Avatar some time soon cause Im sure some of you recognize posters in here by a pic. I know I do. :)
