Title: How do I get the PS2 online
Post by: clowd on August 23, 2002, 07:09:10 PM
I am at loss as to getting the PS2 online without a PC.

I know you need the adaptor,  but do you need a modem too?  I bought a external 56k v.92 just in case.

Could someone explain the process to me please.

How to get PS2 online if you dont have a computer.

I believe you will still need an Internet Service provider.  If you sign up with one I believe that they will provide you with a modem.

The only good part about not having a pc for you is that you can get away with out having to buy a router because you will only use your modem for your ps2.

btw Clowd?.....have you been using a public computer to post at psx2central?

I am using a home computer,  but it has reliability problems,  so I am seeing how I get PS2 online without the PC.

I am signed up with MSN, so, when I hook the adapter up,  I hook my adapter through the external modem to the wall,  OK.

I click on the Words in Madden 2003 that says set up network configuration.  OK.

Will it recognize that I have an ISP?

Just hook up your network adapter, plug your phone line into it, enter the correct information for your ISP including the access number, username, and password, by using the network adapter start up disk, and then connect.
