On the main page it says how many posts are in that forum and then it says the name of the member who last posted.

If the picture says 100000 posts and Bozco was the last poster, does that not mean he got the 100000 post?

i was working, adding more hacks to the forum you guys play in

and to answer yer question kim, no

the forum runs roughly 45 queries everytime to enter the main site. so for someone to constantly press the refresh button would most deinately skew any information received.

Lol, true, but in this case he is right.

Shock, mm explained that sometimes all of the little updates on the main page can get infront or behind eachother so when it said 100000 posts it could have been a different member that posted the 100o00 post becuase the update for the last poster in OT could have been lagging behind the update for the 100000 post......

Kinda confusing the way i said it :nut:

Now that i think of it i have actually noticed examples of this in the fourm. Like when i see on the main page who the last poster was in that forum and i enter that forum and find that post 2 or 3 threads down the page.

wow...... now that i read that back to myself i dont think anyone will understand what i just said....... bah, just take mm\'s word for it.

And by the way, it wouldn\'t be impossible. Wait for an off peak time when no one is posting, then count all posts made since then. Count backwards until you reach what would have been post #100,000
