Does anybody know a good place to go to get a free, and I emphasize free driving record report, online???
-
You should be able to request a copy from either your insurance company or from you local BMV. They should be free as well. As far as sites go, I can\'t help ya.
-
Thats the problem, is I have to send away for it and I want it now, and it costs 4 dollars, its my records why should I have to pay for it.???
-
You have to pay what your DMV charges for it. I don\'t live in Texas, so I don\'t have any idea what it costs. State agencies have to make a living too... jeesh! :D
-
OMG 4 dollars what shall I ever do? ;) Wait I just realized I couldn\'t afford to spend 4 dollars. :(
-
I\'m surprised there\'s a 4 dollar charge. Usually any time you request information from a government agency (and the BMV is under state jurisdiction.. they get funded with your tax dollars after all) it\'ll be free. They don\'t actually charge you until you go to process some information.. like when you go to get a new registration on your vehicle. I guess Texas is jus weird like that.
At any rate, your insurance company should also have a copy of your driving record. If you don\'t have insurance, jus pretend like you\'re going to go in for a policy and tell them you don\'t remember what your record is like. They\'ll look it up for you and give you a rundown. Jus balk at their rates and walk out.

let\'s pass around the collection plate, and help him raise 4 bucks.

U be quiet, I\'m still pissed about the fantasy football sh!t, well I can afford to spend four dollars, i\'d rather not, but i did get it figured out, i just called the state dmv and had them pull up my record, and they said i only had one record when i have two, oh well.

I\'m in the market for new auto insurance cuz the peeps i got now are ****ing me over, so they went and pulled it up, and it said i had three accidents, i\'ve only had two, i call today ask how many accidents i\'ve had, they tell me they only show one??? dmv is all ****@ed up

man with two accidents, and being under 24, you\'re probably getting raped by your insurance company.
When they said that they only see one accident, you should have just agreed with them..might have saved ya a few bucks.

The thing is my current insurance knows about two of them, but THE second one we didnt know wasnt on my drivers record, but so the next time i\'m gonna be like i only have one on my record, its not lying, but not telling the whole truth, but thats whats on my record.

You want to talk about being raped by insurance? I have to pay $700.00 every three months on my Honda Del Sol Si, due to the fact I\'m a 19 year old male - even though I have no tickets or accidents. Its bullsh!t, in my humble opinion.
Note: Sorry to bump an old topic, but I just had to go quote more insurance rates and it doesn\'t look like I will get much cheaper than what I\'m paying now.
