Title: Not all network adapters work with PS2s?

I was browsing Videogames.com\'s forums, just for the heck of it, and found in the PS2 section this thread (http://forums.gamespot.com/gamespot/board/message?board.id=ps2basic&message.id=22090).

This person says that there is a list of PS2 serial numbers that won\'t work with the network adapter in the manual.  Later on in that thread it says it\'s on page 6.

I normally wouldn\'t believe a person on a forum like that, but I think this is at least worth checking out.  Can anyone with the adapter confirm this?  I would think that the list is nothing but old Japanese PS2\'s, the ones that don\'t have an expansion slot.

I would hope so.  i hate when I get stuff that doesnt work.  more so when it comes to gaming.  i dont want to have to return a game or a piece of hardware because it doesnt work.

mine is a First run 3001 series and it works!
