Title: I need help playing AVI\'s

Whenver I download one it plays the audio but shows one of those video streams of Windows media player visualizations.  Do I gotta download something?

You probably need to install the newest version of the DivX codec.

go here http://www.divx.com and download the divx player it should solve all yer .avi  problems.
also make sure u download the one without the adware (its usually the first file)

It\'s probably a Divx problem, like they said.  Just download the latest one and it\'ll probably fix it.

I had the exact same problem as you did and it worked for me.

Well, it\'ll help keep your bed dry at night. But I doubt it\'ll cure the AVI problems. ;)
