Thatis actually kinda cool in a odd sort of way. Think if stop lights were never invented. Have you ever been at major intersection when the lights dont work? nuff said :)

We should have made every intersection a rotary/roundabout, and then no traffick signals would be needed.  They\'re safer too.

yep, enjoyment of receiving head while driving is maximized while stopped at a stop light.

I think you\'ve got it backwards.

Rotaries = good, fast, safe.  The only problem is they take up more space.
Normal intersections = dangerous

this statement couldnt be more wrong, i live in a country filled with roundabouts and the only thing their good for is traffic jams.

Same here.... they become a pain in the ass. Especially when people are going to/from work. Give me a real intersection any day. :)

But they probably are safer. Just a tad more annoying too.

I figured I wouldnt be the only one to find them annoying. :)

As for safer..Im not sure about that either. While I dont have any statistics on them vs. regular intersections. I would think they may be more dangerous since no lights are involved.

Actually I think you\'re right about that. There has been a craze about making them all over the country the last couple of years, but I seem to remember some talk about how they weren\'t all that safe anyway. I don\'t have any links though... but let me tell you, driving behind some 80 year old who\'s trying to get into one... THAT\'s annoying.

Sammy..what about the ppl that make those wide turns into them..gotta love them. Or the ones who are lost as to what a roundabout is and are driving at like 10 mph.

Give me some good ol\' stop and g lights any day.

I hate roundabouts.  And as far as being safe, what about pedestrians?  THey are terrible for the people trying to walk across.
