A guy in gamestop said that LCD monitor for the PS2 sucks then again I never trust game store employees cuz half of them don\'t even know what a PS2 is they just know they sell them.

Man you guys have bad encounters with store employees.  The one half a mile from my house isn\'t bad, just once I had a guy try to sell me a Gamecube game when I had only $35.  Just had to say it 5 times.

I know you can buy some kinda box to play DC, PS2 etc on monitors, but I dont know if that would work on LCD too.

Can\'t see why not though.

LCD screens suck for gaming.  A standard monitor would be a better choice.

Why would you buy a PS2 and not have a TV? If you have a TV, just buy an RFU adapter. TVs aren\'t expensive anymroe. Buy a 13 inch TV for about 60 bucks at Circuit City. We just bought a 32 inch TV for like 400 bucks or something like that.

NO way no TV is $60 not even at circuit city. The cheapest is like $90 but with the tax then it\'s over $100. I don\'t really wanna get a TV because i\'m moving into a dorm and if I get one all my roomates are probably going to use it.

Just buy a 13 inch TV. I saw one for about 50 bucks with a VCR combo. Just buy one. You\'ll be better off that way. And you can watch TV :)

i think LCD screens in general suck. they\'re not that clear. the only thing that is nice about them is that they\'re thin.

Not only is LCD don\'t give true deep black color(it\'s a shade of grey dependent on the light).  Their framerates aren\'t as fast as computer.  Some old LCD runs at about 25hz, newer one runs about 40hz and 50hz which have been improve.  But CRT runs twice that amount.  My run at 72hz.  LCD is not that good a choice for video games because of the slow framerate.  That might change in the coming years.

Does anybody here thinks plasma monitors are better than LCD?  Its only about 4" thick no matter how big the size is.  As the price of plasma begins to fall.  Do you think it\'s better for engineer to make 21" plasma computer monitor?
