Title: The AniMatrix
Post by: Coredweller on August 31, 2002, 11:02:55 AM
You MUST check out this trailer.  Warner Brothers is releasing a compilation of Anime stories based on The Matrix in 2003.  There are a variety of animation techniques included.  This trailer kicks ass.  :D

Looks cool is it going to be a movie or series on tv?

I believe it\'s going to be released on DVD & VHS home video only.  Not a television series.  Although it would be nice if they did a limited theatrical release also.  They could coordinate it with the release of The Matrix: Reloaded, and offer limited double feature presentations.  This is going to kick azz.

I meant the first version.  The one with Keanu Reeves.

WTF Vivi?  You\'re making no sense.  It looks different from the first because it\'s not trying to be like the first film.  It\'s animation, not live action.  Just because it\'s different doesn\'t make it stupid.  Don\'t you like anime?

I like Anime, but it looks like it has no relation to the other version.

that\'s because it\'s many different stories ABOUT the matrix UNIVERSE.  It has NOTHING to do with the original film except that it follows the underlying story of all of us being born into bondage and being enslaved FOR the Matrix itself.  Just think of it as this... you have the star wars films, then you have a host of books that play off the universe but don\'t really have anything to do with the main characters of the films.  This is basically the same thing.

That he did, right after complaining about people who changed avatars all the time. ;)

The Matrix movied sucked in my opnion and I don\'t hold high hopes for this anime, even though it should of been an anime from the start. I just don\'t care for sci-fi films and I hated the special effects.
*shrugs*

*waits for LIC to be lynched*

But seriously, I don\'t think The Matrix was all that and a bag of chips either. It was ok, but not \'the best movie evaar\'. More like 7/10. Which is quite acceptable to say the least.

I loved The Matrix.  Truman Show was better tho.

...don\'t look at me like that they have similarities!!!
