Kingdom Hearts. SOCOM: U.S. Nave Seals. Sly Cooper. Shinobi. These are a few games that most PS2 gamers will want to snatch up in the coming months. However, have you given any thought to Robotech: Battlecry?
Set during the events of the Macross Saga (Robotech\'s pivital first act), Battlecry is a game that fans have waited 17 years for. It features cel-shaded graphics (also seen in Auto Modellista), which give the game a cartoony look. Played from a third person perspective, the game will draw in fans of the show and the average gamer alike.
Fans of Robotech will be pleased to know that all mecha and music from the original show will be in the game, as well. A handfull of voice actors from the original cartoon have reprised their roles, as well: Tony Oliver (Rick Hunter), Cam Clarke (Max Sterling), Melanie MacQueen (Lisa Hayes), and Dan Woren (Roy Fokker). This means that, not only will you be able to fly a VF-1A in Skull Squadron, you\'ll also be able to communicate with Skull 1 himself, Roy Fokker.
Overall, the game is set to blow everyone away. Don\'t overlook it: You\'ll never forgive yourself. Chalk up another must-have PS2 title; it all begins September 23.
