Title: Florida vs Miami
Post by: videoholic on September 01, 2002, 05:05:26 AM
What do you guys think?  Does Florida even have a chance?  They got raped when Spurrier left with their best receivers leaving early.  I just hope they keep it close.  Nothing like being emberassed so early in the season.

I hate florida but I hate Miami even more so I\'m rooting for Florida. But I think we all know Miami is still going to win.

Uhoh Vid,so far no votes for UF,not looking to good.BTW don\'t kid yourself it\'s no coincidence that when Steve Superior got to Florida the first thing he did was weasel out of the MIAMI games. And convienently leaves when it\'s time to play them again. At the going rate MIAMI will have 10 national championships before UF gets it\'s second.

Same here.  I want Miami to lose though, because in the long run I think they\'ll be the more dangerous team.  Florida can just help to clear them out so Texas has a cleaner run at the national title :)

Actually Ben High yes Spurrier did leave at the best time.  LSU is rising again, FSU, Miami, etc...

But no, Spurrier did not leave because of miami and spurrier was not the reason miami was off the schedule.

As a matter of fact Spurrier had three goals back in 91 when he started.  Put natural grass on the field (Booyah, natural grass we have now), win a National Championship (96), and get Miami back on the schedule.

They had to add an extra game this year to get Miami on there, but they are there.

They kicked ass yesterday, but the corners sucked for UAB so it was just a pitch and catch fest.  Next week will be interesting.  You don\'t get many huge games like this so early in the season.

The big question is whether or not the young secondary of Miami can hold against the pass happy Gators.  I think they will and Ken Dorsey will have a big game.  Miami by 28 :)

I\'m fairly certain that MIAMI was on the schedule when he got there, but he removed them because(so he said)the expanded SEC left him fewer chances to play out of conferance.Let\'s not fight amongst ourselves though and instead unite in our hatred of FSU. :-)  Although I really don\'t see them being very strong this year and definatly not deserving of such a high rank.

But just for fun how \'bout some predictions for this weeks game.

My prediction MIAMI 38
                     gators 31
