Has anybody ever had PS2 stop playing compact disk format games, PS2 or PS1?
-
yes
-
How do you fix the problem?
-
I\'m going to go ahead and move this thread. Not because it\'s inappropriate for these forums, but because I think you\'ll find alot more help in the Main Forum. It\'s just a matter of traffic, and you\'ve got a better chance that someone who knows exactly what you need to do will see it there. Cool?
As far as I\'ve heard, you\'ll have to do some minor surgery to your PS2 to adjust the voltage going to your lazer. It\'s not horribly complicated, but if cracking open your PS2 and playing with the guts a bit sounds intimidating then that method might not be for you.
If it\'s still under warrante I would suggest sending it back to Sony and having them fix it first off, cause as soon as you pop the top.. yer warrante is invalid.

Stop pissing in it, did that help ?

always happend to me when I was beating the computer by a crap load of points in Madden....i think that the PS2 is just a bad sport.

Mine was still under warranty so I sent it to Sony\'s monkeys and let them bang on it for about 2 months and it finally came back fixed.
I\'ve heard that people who are not under warranty anymore call Sony and bitch until they fix it for free. So raise hell about it.
Or do the wal-mart switcheroo.

Now someone has to explain the switcheroo again...
-
just go into walmart with a gun, and demand a new ps2. they\'ll be happy to give you one.

Make sure to tell them you are buying it for your Al-queida buddies to receive a discount
