Within the next 24 hours folks, the Niners will head on down to New York to start this year\'s NFL season.
I\'m really psyched about the Niners this year. And I like our chances for the ring. I couldn\'t have asked for more when I found out that the Niners opened the season.
Bon Jovi will be introducing the season via song, hopefully he won\'t sing, "Everyday"... *shudders*.....
Fantasy Football and Pro Pick Em\' leagues are all beginning and thats just another additional plus!
Speaking of "pick-em\'s"
I have 3 upset specials (ala Jimmy Kimmel-style) this week:
Broncos over Rams
Bills over Jets
Patriots over Steelers
-
STICKY!
this is gonna be our main "nfl thread" this season.
Personally I think your nutty thinkin the niners have a shot at the super bowl. they would have to beat the eagles, and i dont think anybodys beating the eagles this year.
well, maybe the bears.
booyah go bears!
-
GO BEARS!! I really want to see a re-match against the eagles. I also think the niners are not going to even see the bowl..let alone a ring, but I do think they have a good chance getting deep in the playoffs.
Im going with denver over stl...but I disgaree with the rest of the upset picks
PS..we dont need a sticky for this do we? Do you really think it is going to get pushed away? :)
-
Actually I think the Niners should be more concerned about the Rams than the Eagles.... We beat the Eagles at Philly last year, but thats last year I guess....
-
How do you think the Redskins will fair once everyone turns it up a notch?
I dont think the touchdowns will flow like water like they did in the preseason.
-
Washington is doomed again.
-
Week 1 Predictions
NY Giants over SF 49er\'s
Washington over Arizona
Baltimore over Carolina
Jacksonville over Idianapolis
Chicago over Minnesota
Philly over Tennessee
New Orleans over Tampa Bay
St. Louis over Denver
Green Bay over Atlanta
Miami over Detroit
Cleveland over Kansas City
San Diego over Cincinatti
Seattle over Oakland
Buffalo over NY Jets
Dallas over Houstan
New England over Pittsburg
Anyone wanna bet against me?
-
the skins will do no better than 8-8.
-
Seattle will not beat Oakland
-
dude seattle wont beat anybody
-
Jags over the Colts...riiiiight. Jacksonville will be introduced to Edgerrin James\' stiff arm real quick.

Sure :)
First of all, I\'ll bet that the Cowboys beat Houston, not Houstan
Then I\'ll bet Jets over Bills
Then I\'ll go ahead and pick the Chiefs over the Browns.
Colts kill the Jags
Raiders over Hawks
I might go with Minnesota even...but I\'m not sure
At least you got the Giants game right though :)
And the Skins will win more than 8 games. They were 8-8 last year, and have more talent now.

I\'ll gladly take that bet.
1) Giants over Niners? Tiki Barber isn\'t in full health, Giants have an unproven revamped O-line (New O-lines rarely are good). The only thing the Giants can count on is their defense. I\'m not taking the Giants lightly, they do have a shot, but I\'m just a biased Niners fan.
2) Jacksonville over Indy? Jags SUCK. I actually listed them as my worst team in the NFL for this year at some other forums where I did some power rankings. Jags have nothing. Brunell is way out of his prime, and Taylor is just taking it day by day.
3) Philly over Tennesee? Maybe. It will be close though. I like the Titans chances.
4) New Orleans over Tampa Bay? Another possible thing to happen, but pretty unlikely.
5) Chargers won\'t beat the Bengals. Rookie QB\'s don\'t win their first career games, and Takeo Spikes will make sure of that.
Kudos though for choosing Buffalo over Jets, I\'m with ya on that one.
-
Meh, you know my Giants are kicking ass tonight. Just you watch :)
-
Giants will be owned in about an hour, just as long some freak injury doesn\'t happen. NY has no chance of stopping the niner passing attack, and even if they go to a nickle defense to try to stop the passing -O-, the niners will counter with Hearst and Barlow. In other words, the Giants will have their asses handed to them.
-
Bon Jovi sucks.
*me hits mute button*
-
Jose Cortez. Your cut. Go back to kicking soccer balls you focking bitch.
3-0: Giants (Would be 3-3 if the Niners had a kicker worth a damn)
-
Man the Giants looked good to me on that drive. Oh, and that defensive stand wasn\'t bad either.
By the way, you\'re not the only team on that field with kicking problems :(
-

That just shows how incredibly little you know about the Giants. This team shut down the Rams like no one else last year, only losing on, you guessed it, kicking problems. They can handle big passing attacks. Slut.
*rapes theomen*
-
6-3! HOW AMAZINGLY EXCITING IS THIS!
*snore*
Somebody get into the end zone. PLEASE. Hell, my Chiefs could have 17 points by now against these defenses. Both offenses are mastering the art of stalling -- not a good sign if both teams have kicking issues.
See Yuz.
-
The Niners are pretty damn dissappointing so far. The giants are doing alright, but not that much better. The only impressive thing i\'m seeing about these two teams are their defense.(especially the giants)But I cant say much about these teams offense.:(
-
Giants ALWAYS have low scoring games, both them and whoever they play.
Yes its boring. Yes Terrell Owens is getting thrown at, but not producing. Yes I want to slit Jose Cortez\'s throat.
-

That\'s the Giants, that\'s the way they ALWAYS are. They win ugly. They make other teams play ugly. Their games are always like this. There is no team they can\'t play with, and beat in this type of game. Defensive struggles are the Giants thing. And Giants fans don\'t think this is boring. They think it\'s beautiful. Football is supposed to be ugly, not cute like some of the high flying dome teams you see today try to make it.
I think, from a Giants fan\'s perspective, the Giants have looked good. The passing game has really been clicking.
And Theomen, where\'s that blowout you predicted? It\'s been more than an hour, and the Giants are winning.
-
Tony\'s preaching. Great.
Giants win ugly, Good for them. Truth be told, I really don\'t like both teams, so this "win ugly" business doesn\'t sit well with my viewing. I think I\'ll be playing NCAA Football 2003 for about an hour, then it\'s time for bed. Nyah.
See Yuz.
-
Um...Chiefs blow!
*runs*
-
Barlow had a nce march down field..but yes, this game is putting me to sleep.
-
YES! HEARST TD!
SUCK ON IT G-MEN! ESPECIALLY THE LINEBACKER TRYING TO GET IN HIS FACE, WHERE WERE YOU ON THAT PLAY BUDDY?
And I am loving Barlow alot. I hope he stays with the organization for his career. The guy is gonna be huge.
-
Barlow has looked impressive.
And the Giants will get it back. Just watch :)
-
man, i dont think ive ever seen a team celebrate more than the giants, after every frickin play they get up and dance around like retards.
i hate teams like that.
-
TOUCHDOWN!
13-13...can you say...maybe...overtime?
-

reminds me when that ass gramatica was celebrating after a field goal that wasnt even a game winner and he injured himself..hahah
that was classic comedy gold.
-
meh
*runs away*
-
HAHA!
GAME!
CORTEZ IN THE CLUTCH!
NINERS UNDEFEATED!
GIANTS... WINLESS.
Man that game got much better in the second half. Glad to see Owens come out of his shell for that huge gain.
But all credit goes to the Niner defense who laid the smack down on Collins. Sure Collins got the yardage, but he ate some turf and threw 3 picks.
1-0!!!
-
its only one game..that may be their only win :D( ok..unlikely but still)
Ill give it to both teams in the 4th though. They really turned it up.
-
both teams blew monkey chunks, and I hope the niners only sucked because they\'re rusty, it bieng their first regular season game. but it is a win, thus I will do my happy dance.
*does happy dance*
-
Yeah, Niners were rusty the first 3 quarters... I started to see the real form of them in the 4th, especially with that final drive for the FG.
-
The one good thing about the game (other than the win) was Barlows run after the flare pass, it was A-Maz-ing! Me being a big fan of Kevans, I was exstatic when he brok those tackles, and drug that db for an extra ten.
I\'m extremely glad to see that Barlow is getting more touches this year, and if he doesn\'t start this year full time, next year the Niners, will without a doubt feature him as the number one back.
-
I\'ve already placed a bet that Hearst retires after this year. I\'m not saying I want it to happen, he\'s an awesome back, I\'m just saying that, and in all honesty, his health should be the priority. I like Hearst as a player, the guy seems like a locker room player and has a hell of a stiff arm, and with a guy like Barlow around, why risk your health?
-
What, no credit to the Giants defense for making the Niners play like shit most of the game? I hate to tell ya, but it wasn\'t just Terrell Owens that stopped Terrell Owens. I think Will Allen had a little something to do with it too. The Giants made the Niners play like crap in the beginning, but they got tired at the end, and the Niners are too good of a team to do that against. They took advantage, and won the game.
By the way, of those interceptions, 2 of them were handed to you guys when Giants players couldn\'t catch the ball :(
-
I hate to say it shockwaves, but next week will be no easier, in fact harder. Giants are playing the Rams... good luck.
-
^^
needless to say, next week I\'m gonna be a Giants fan. woot, go Giants!!!
-
Yeah. When I saw the schedule for the year, I wanted to punch something. Starting with the Niners and then the Rams...that\'s just not right.
-
When I saw the Colts schedule this year I said "woooooooohah" :)
-
Yeah, I\'m a Giants fan week 2.
And yes the Giants defense had us for the first half but thats because even coming out of the preseason we never established a good rhythm so the Niners went out rusty. But as the game winded on you could see the Niners slowly and steadily emerge from their shell until they blew it up in the 4th.
If the Giants beat the Rams, and I hope they do, and I know they can do, then it will really be good for the Giants to prove to everyone they can contend with the top dogs, and the Niners would have a nice road to reclaming the NFC West.
-
unfortunatly the giants also have to play the eagles twice... not to mention a potential washington.
-
I hate Redskins fans... I love how they come out of their holes when they realize they have a good coach and top linebackers. Cuz\' thats all they really got.
Each year I have a team to root against, last year was the Viks for obvious reasons, this year I choose the Redskins.
-
I\'ve chosen the Cowboys for the past...forever
-
i hate the packers, always have, always will.
its part of being a bears fan.
-
Its tradition to hate the fudge packers. Detroit and minnisota are a close 2nd though :D
-
I hate the packers and the chiefs...im a broncos fan and when the chiefs get a touchdown they moch the mile-high salute. Dumb ignorant asses :)
-
Being a life long Niner fan, I\'m obligated to hate the Cowboys, and as of recent the Packers and Rams.......anyone else notice how these team names have homosexual implicastions? Cowboy, Packer, Ram.....
-
"You men and your foosball"
Im going for the Vikings, I\'m from North Dakota- no football team, I live in Alaska- no football team. So minnesota will have to do :D
-

not detroit for me, lions fans hate the vikings and packers as much as we do... plus the lions suck! ha!
but i also hate the vikings very very much
-
I miss the central division. You guys still have the best division. Bucs are now stuck with Saints, Carolina, and J-ville. That is so dull.
-
i know... im gonna miss watching the bears beat the bucs twice a year... oh well, at least we still have the lions.
-
LOL if tampa bay doesn\'t win the division I\'ll laugh.
-
Saints running back is really good, at least in real life...couldnt get a damn break from vid,lol..good game btw vid....also if aaron brooks produces hell kick ass cuz hes got potential. Wide recievers Horn and Stallworth(also if they play like they should) will also help the team a lot. The defense i havnt seen too much of so i cant say anythign good/bad about them. Havnt really followed them in real life, just the broncos. So dont count the saints out yet. But Carolina and Jacksonville dont have a chance. I think at the end Tampa will come out on top(at least in the division). For a superbowl prediction, even though its the first week, but thats what predictions are for, id have to go with the steelers. But of corse it would be nice to have the broncs win another.
-

Isn\'t it the Saints, Panthers, and Falcons, not Jags...
-
Yeah, shockey is right.
Thats the easiest division that the Bucs are in. I\'d call it a bad season if the Bucs don\'t win the superbowl considered they\'ve had all the ingredients handed to them.

what about shaun king....he was good for a play or two when he started :). Anyway, i just hope Griese doesnt get hurt and plays like hes payed. Steve Berlein(sp?) is a good backup to have.
-
Bah... Steve Beurelein is older than dirt... If Griese goes down, than the Broncos are focked.
And Brad Johnson is a great QB, he kicked ass in his days in Minnesota before he got hurt. The guy could throw the ball like a cannon. Its Dungy\'s conservative shit of an offense that never let B.J. break out. Lets hope Mr. Constipation, John Gruden, knows how to utilize Johnson.
And who else hates Warren Sapp?

im having a bitch of a time choosing one of these... man im anal about my jerseys.
-
That pic brings back a horrible memory....
I have a Jeff Garcia jersey, a Steve Young jersey that I don\'t wear anymore for obvious reasons, and a Terell Owens jersey that was destroyed in the washing machine so I only wear it when I\'m in the house. However for Christmas I\'m gonna get a new jersey and here\'s some I\'m looking at, and its not only restricted to the niners:
Shaun Alexander

you forgot tom brady !
and ty law, otis smith, lawey Milloy, Adam vinitieri, damien woody, anotowain smith, and patrick pass...
-
Lawyer Milloy and Ty Law would be nice... Tom Brady... erm....
-
dude ill send you my tony parrish bears jersey... that would be cool.
get the deuce jersey... im tellin you guys, deuce is gonna be awesome.
-
Niner fans have a large eye on Parrish because we lost Lance Schulters who was a bad ass on the field and we hafta check if Parrish can fill his shoes.
Parrish was awesome in Week 1 and even though Tiki got in the endzone the play after, he laid a nice shoulder on Tiki to prevent the TD. He reminds me of Schulters in a lot of ways.
-
heres the deal with parrish (trust me i studied this guy for 3 years)
he pretty much is a small linebacker... he lets some recievers go, not a very good cover guy, even for a strong safety. BUT... he is a frickin monster hitter, causes fumbles like crazy. also blitzes great, and his most impressive point in my opinion is when you put him on the line, its like a 4-4, cause he plays the run and blitzes like a linebacker.
like i said im a big fan. was very sad to see him go.
-
Yeah, I was pretty down when I heard we lost Schulters as well.
At least you guys got this guy!

Im pissed off
DOnt get to see todays Bears game..I had a feeling this would happen and many more times this season. I need NFL season pass from directTV!!
-
I AM REaLLY pissed off!! last play of the Browns VS Chiefs game....Rudd throws his helmet off thinking the game was over but the QB got the ball to a receiver and he ran it to the 40....the ref saw it and tacked on more and the CHiefs win with a FG that even shouludnt have happened! What a BONEHEAD! if I was the GM I would fire his Butt!
:hat:ScottyJ:hat:
-
Rudd should move to Texas so that bastard can get the death penalty put on himself.

-
rudd has always been a show-off and a bonehead. i cant stand him.
and luck you missed one hell of an ending in the bears game.
-
and to Impact the Anger, the indians gave up 4 runs in the 9th to let the ChiSox win and avoid the Sweep! Danys Baez should have been pulled waaay earlier than he was, he couldnt get a bal in the strikezone and when he did Thomas Jacked one for 3 runs!
:hat:ScottyJ:hat:
-
I\'m still pissed that the Browns lost. I have decided that I\'m not going to care, I\'m just going to root for OSU.
-
You wanna talk about a game with one hell of an ending, that Jets game was incredible. 96 yard game winning kickoff return for a TD to start OT...man that was great.
That Chiefs game didn\'t have such a bad ending either :)

Yeah OSU DESTROYED Kent State! I live about 5-10 Minutes away from Kent State U\'s Main Campus, my mom and Bro went to KSU, My dad and I went to Akron (trust me it isnt pretty during KSU VS Akron Games) , we are also Split during OSU and Michigian Games.

That browns game was funny as crap. That guy felt like an idiot I can guarantee you that.
-
So what do you huys think of this NO tampa game? WHile TB sucked ass the 1st half, they have certainly madr a statement in the 2nd. This offense is starting to wake up finally mi thinks.
-
both guys (gardocki and rudd) probly gott yelled at after the game for ther Childish behavior and costing them the game!
:hat:ScottyJ:hat:
-
O yee of little faith. couple people sayd tampa will kick the crap outta saints and i was backing the saints up. I dont like the saints but now that i am them in the tourny i feel a little defensive towards them :) hehe. Just felt like rubbing it in.Was a kick @ss ending in the endzone. for those who didnt see it, watch sportcenter cuz im too lazy to explain it. Someone else can explain it if they want....
P.S. W00t to the broncos for winning and kicking the rams ass physically
-
Great day in football. 3 OTs and some wacky endings. KC ending will be played for a long time. That was such a trip.
-
HAH BITCHES! I HIT MY UPSET PICK!
I knew the Rams would lose. Knew it. Never doubted myself no matter how much others told me there was no way.
Now the Rams have to play a proven Giants team that has came close to beating them before, and its highly possible the Rams will go 0-2!
I hate the Buccaneers with a passion now. God I can\'t believe I picked them to win. They have the lousiest offense and not even John Gruden can create any kind of chemistry there. What a hopeless situation.
I was so pissed at the Cleveland game. Being born in Ohio I am also a slight Browns fan, but believe me there is a HUGE gap between being a Niners fan and a Browns fan. I love the Niners much more, but I still like to root for the Browns. That game was their\'s, and KC knows it. All you need is one dumbass to sink the ship.
I almost hit my upset pick with Buffalo. Bledsoe was pretty solid but the special teams blew it in OT. I was only 6 points off.
Aside from other things this was the best first week I\'ve ever seen and I\'m really loving NFL Sunday Ticket.
-
dude alot of people, including myself, picked the rams to lose today... calm down.
and what happened to brad johnson being a "great" quarterback?
-
I was screaming all day that I want my Sunday Ticket back. Damnit, the sacrifices you make when you have a kid. UGH!!!!!!!!!
Can I come over?
-
Brad Johnson was great. He\'s just way passed his prime. There\'s no chemistry at all in that offense.
And in a private league for 15 I was the only one who picked Denver so I figured that I was the sole one to do it.
-
Bucs O-Line sucks monkey testicles.
-
Bucs defense is overrated too. :D
-
I picked every team who won this week, I also picked every winner for the rest of the season...
seeing the Rams loose today was almost a religious experience for me!
and now I have the Cowboys loosing by 9 also! This is a great day!
-
Go Texans!
God the Cowboys suck. Quincy Carter gets my vote for worst starting QB in the league.
-

ill agree with that... he blows.
and i hope emmit gets injured and doesnt break paytons record.
-
Emmit is de man. I had a class with him in college. Well I did for the first and last day of the semester. That bitch never showed up. He probably wouldn\'t have been a good person to cheat off of anyway.
-
I disagree, I think Carter would be able to shine more if it wasnt for the that offensive line. dallas has alot of potential, as well as alot of younger guys that still have some learning to do.
-
That Browns game looked kinda crazy. Everytime I saw some highlight of it the Browns were going 50 yards down the field like they were the Rams or something. I also was very pleased with Denver\'s win over the Rams. The Jags and Colts game was pretty good too.
Tonight\'s game Pats and Steelers...Steelers by 10.
Oh while Im ranting...Go Miami kicking the shit out of Florida on Saturday :)
-

There are just too many holes to fill in that roster. Quincy is a lousy scrambler and has a shit of an arm. I think he was 11-30, no tds, and a pick. Against an expansion team\'s first game that consists of second rate players (besides sharper) in their secondary. I\'ll check up on it though.
-
Second rate players in the secondary? Hardly. The Jets were great against the pass last year, and forced the most turnovers in the NFL. The Texans have their 2 starting CBs from last year.
I said from the beginning that this was the best expansion team I had ever seen. I stand by that even more now.
-
Perhaps their secondary is proven, but their defensive line is not. The only one who stopped Emmitt that game was the men blocking in front of him.
-

Key word, "former". Going to the Pro Bowl is very decieving. Remember when Jake Plummer went? Yeah...
They\'ve also played only against the worst passing offense from last year.
-
If you\'re saying that he isn\'t still a top quality DT, I\'ll argue that any day.
And by those same rankings that put Dallas as the worst passing team, they were the 3rd best rushing team in the NFL. What\'s your point?

I hate to say it mm, ok I love it, your Steelers are done, and my patriots have won... well not yet. One more quater, but it\'s not looking good for the steelies...

*sigh*
You people that think Jake Plummer is horrible. He\'s never had a decent o-line since he\'s been in the NFL, never. Sure, he\'s not the best QB, but if he had an o-line he would be a solid starter. And hopefully with Lenord Davis coming in that\'ll help. We\'ll see.
And when did Plummer go to the Pro Bowl, not saying he didn\'t, i just don\'t remember it.
-
His golden year when the Cards actually made the playoffs and people were actually calling him, "Jake the Snake". It was 98\' or 97\'.
Perhaps you can blame it on a rusty o-line and a lousy run game, but god damn do I hate side-arm QBs.

Yep. Bernie Kosar did suck, didn\'t he?
Jake Plummer - trash. If Arizona State didn\'t beat Nebraska in \'96, he would have never made it to the NFL. "Jake the Snake", what a horrible nickname, and already used, too. Don\'t pull that O-Line crap, it\'s fine. Aaron Graham was one of the best Centers in all of College Football back in his day. If his O-Line is truly that bad, then how was it that Michael Pittman was able to be one of the best RB\'s productivity-wise in 2000?
See Yuz.
-
They used Pittman on alot of screen passes. And most of the rushing yards he got was from him making something out of nothing.
And saying that Plummer would have never made it to the NFL without beating Nebraska is just...retarded. He was a great QB in college, and he could be a solid one in the NFL.
-
yea i didnt feel like reading one post of this 5 page speeal.....
instead i deiced to voice my opinion.... Lions 15-1 ............
ok ok...so maybe im wrong.......
14-2 :)
-
Lions can call it a Superbowl for them if they get 4 wins.
-
I think the lions have the potential of building a very solid team in the next 4 or 5 years. I still think that Harrington will be a very solid NFL QB...

Everyone has the potential to build a great team in 4 years.

First off, not related to that: http://msn.espn.go.com/nfl/columns/pasquarelli_len/1430682.html
Crouch Retires from Football.
2nd off: How can a quarterback get so great after one off-season? The Sun Devils won 4 or 5 games in \'95, losing to Nebraska 77-28 in the process, then they beat Nebraska the next year. You don\'t think that had SOMETHING to do with it? I loved that Rose Bowl loss, way for that great defense to choke *rolls eyes*

-
SF in at 2nd? That place 0wnz!! They\'re geniouses
-
that or complete morons :)
Id give SF maybe 4 or or so. Im still pissed about the bears being 10. They are at least 5.
-
the bears are three point dogs against the falcons this week... no f*ckin respect i tell ya.
well see. when the bears are 5-0 going into the bye week then maybe someone will give us some frickin respect.
-
The bears are underdogs against the Falcons? Hell, I\'ll take that bet. Some people are morons.
-
Even still..Micheal Vick scares me :D Guess it doesnt matter much if no one is there to catch the bullets he can fling. His ability to run and scramble wont be enough to save him, espescially agaisnt Daaaaa Beeearrrsss
-
Vick is awesome and almost single handedly beat the Packers. Don\'t underestimate the Falcons, they have the same weapons that the Patriots had last year (aside from defense, :D).
-
Last week I was 7-9, this week I will do much better.
Week 2 Predictions
Rams over Giants
Saints over Packers
Chargers over Texans
Bears over Falcons
Browns over Bengals
Bills over Vikings
Colts over Dolphins
Jaguars over Cheifs
Broncos over 49ers
Titans over Cowboys
Bucs over Ravens
Raiders over Steelers
Panthers over Lions (oh good... how did this come to be)
Seahawks over Cardinals
GOTW Patriots over Jets
MNF Redskins over Eagles
Once again the door is open for bets... GOTW is game of the week. MNF is monday night football.
-
GOTW Giants over Rams (I\'m a moron for picking this, but I gotta go with my giants)
Packers over Saints
Texans over Chargers (that\'s right!)
Bears over Falcons
Browns over Bengals
Bills over Vikings
Dolphins over Colts
Chiefs over Jags
Broncos over 49ers
Titans over Cowboys
Bucs over Ravens
Raiders over Steelers
Lions over Panthers
Seahawks over Cardinals
Jets over Pats
MNF Eagles over Skins
-
You both doubt the power of the Niners?
Shame on you. Way to start automatically 0-1.
-
you poor dumb bastards, not picking the niners. What, do you dislike being right?
-
I don\'t doubt the Niners. I saw how good they are. I just think that the Broncos, when healthy and when all is going right, are an incredible team (as in best in the AFC). They have a great offensive system, and a defense that pretty much shut the Rams down. Gonna be one hell of a game though. It was one of the matchups on the schedule I really think could go either way.
Hell, there are like 4 games that could be GOTW next week...Giants Rams, Niners Broncos, Fins Colts, and Jets Pats should all be great games.
-
argg, if pats dont win, thats an upset
-
Hey man, you know I gotta go with my Jets too. Either way though, that should be one hell of a game.
The Jets are such an interesting team to me though. They have a way of getting outplayed, and pulling out a win anyway. They\'ve done it ever since they started playing well again (after those 1-15 years :(). The Bills game week 1 was a great example of that. Last year, they forced the most turnovers, and gave up the least. That says something about a team, I think.
-
Rams over Giants
Packers over Saints
Chargers over Texans
Bears over Falcons
Browns over Bengals
Fins over Colts
Niners over Broncos
Bills over Vikings
Chiefs over Jaguars
Titans over Cowboys
Bucs over Ravens
Steelers over Raiders
Panthers over Lions
Seahawks over Cards
Pats over Jets
Eagles in a landslide over the Redskins
Im going 16-0 this week, I can feel it :)
-
If the niners dont fix their crap they pulled on the giants they have no chance IMO to beat the Broncos. Week 1 the broncos owned the best (statistical) team, and SF barely got past the giants and their offense wasnt clicking as well as the broncos.
-
Viper the Giants are a GOOD team. Everyone struggles against them at New York. What I was impressed with was the Niners ability to leave there with a win, that was a tough game, and their first game at that.
Niners are at home now, where they play best. And I think the Griese v. Beurelein battle is gonna hurt Denver.
-
I wasnt saying the Giants werent a good team. It did sound like i said that after i read what i wrote but i still think SF didnt have as much timing as the broncos had against the rams. For homefield advantage, that will also be a help towards SF. I think Griese knows what he has to do to keep his job, but if shanahan sees he needs to put in beurelein, i dont think he would hesitate to do so. I shouldnt have said SF has no chance cuz they are a good team.
-
The Giants are a good team (nice to see that other people see that now :)), but I do agree that the Broncos looked sharper in their opener than the Niners did. We\'ll just have to see how it plays out though.
-
Of course the Broncos looked sharper, they were playing at home. Like I said, no one plays well in New York. And the Broncos only saving grace was its defense, and the Niners plan on disrupting Griese\'s game so he can lose his job to Beurelein and that always creates a mess when your changing QB\'s.
Also, Niners have allowed only 3 points their last 3 home games.
-
Yea, the Browns beat the Bengals. Thats something to brag about.
-
yes! the browns beat Cincinatti Bungles! the Browns should be 2-0 but noooooooooooooooooooo..........
:hat:ScottyJ:hat:

the bears are also 2-0 thanks to atlanta\'s kicker... thanks pal!

man, im just sittin here looking at some stats... and im sorry but brian urlacher is the best middle linebacker in the NFL.
today...
12 tackles 2 sacks and a forced fumble.
damn he\'s good, im so glad hes on the bears.
-
WHo are you tellin..easily the best MLB of current times. That was a real good pick-up for the bears a couple years back. Funnything is, even when the bears would suck, he still mananged to shine.
-
If the Bills didn\'t stupidly go for 2 with their last touchdown they would have won the game with their 54 yard fg that hit the cross bar and went through but instead they tied it up.
-
Urlacher fears Strahan.
Giants beat the Rams. Rams are 0-2. That game was incredible. Man was I ever dead on when I said it would be game of the week, and picked the Giants to pull it out :)
-
Niners lost.
No real damage though considering the Rams lost as well. Niners are tied for the NFC West title with the Cards, so basically, they own the NFC West.

Last I checked, you don\'t need to win the division to get into the playoffs.

well there\'s only 2 wildcards this year, I believe that as long as Brett Favre plays for GB they\'ll be getting one, and lets not forget 3 out of 4 NFC East teams have a good shot at the post season.
-
I think Green Bay wins the division, and I think the Giants are better than the Bears. I also think they are better than the Skins. That help?
-
Man the Steelers suck. How did they win any games last year? Kordell Stewart-who? You mean that joke that stands behind the center?
-
Uh oh mm isn\'t going to be very happy.
-
nor should he, Steelers came into season ranked #2... what an over-rated team. Talk about flukes... ;)
-
Just as bad...look at the team that was ranked #1 :D
-
lol
another, "i told you so season" for the Patriots.

What a disgusting home opener for the Steelers. They should be ashamed.

Damn did my giants beat the rams, shit, I feel that the giants are probably the most under-rated team now, fassel is no fool!!!

The refs in the Giants-Rams game blew it...
The Giants were on the Ram 5 when Collins fumbled... a St. Louis DB picked it up and was headed to the other endzone when the ref called it back!!
Result=rams lose by 5.
If that fumble was called the rams would have won.
-
Anybody else watch MNF last night? What was up with that pepper spray stuff? I fell asleep.

Is it me, or is that pepper spray story blown way out of proportion?

There is no way the Rams score on that play, if it\'s called a fumble. The whistles were blowing, so people stopped, and the running back, and even part of the recovering of the ball was after the play was dead and most had stopped playing. The refs didn\'t blow it, and I\'ll say it again, only the shallowest fans blame refs. The refs didn\'t blow it, the Rams did. Shut up, and take the loss like a man, instead of making bullshit excuses.
-
Suck on it Clowd. Teams know how to beat the Rams now.
-
Clowd - right. No way in hell that wasn\'t a fumble, and the Rams guy who picked it up was well on his way. Besides, the Rams has plenty of chances with the ball, and that play would have had a huge momentum swing.
In other terms, Tony - suck on it.
See Yuz.
-
*waves a Penn State flag*
Rams blow, one play doesn\'t make a game.
-
*looks at Nebraska Oklahoma game from last year*
It sure doens\'t.
See Yuz.
-
Are you telling me that Oklahoma didn\'t have a chance to score after that, or score more before that? A single play can win a game, but it can\'t make a game. Besides, even if the Rams recover that, they don\'t score on that play, and the way the Giants were playing, they don\'t score that drive either. The Giants outplayed the Rams, and the Rams had plenty of chances. They blew them, and they lost. They deserved to lose, because they were outplayed and didn\'t take advantage when they had opportunities. They have no one to blame but themselves, and a true fan of the sport would see that. Besides, don\'t tell me they haven\'t gotten those calls in the past.
-
I\'m not a fan of either team. But I\'m not blinded by the fact that it WAS a fumble.
Did Oklahoma score? They didn\'t. Why? Nebraska was up by 10 with 6 minutes left, and the momentum was obviously in Nebraska\'s favor. Oklahoma didn\'t score once in the 2nd half of that game.
See yuz.
-
Well, there you go. Oklahoma could have scored before that play, but didn\'t. They set themselves up for that situation. That play doesn\'t happen...say it\'s incomplete...well Nebraska is still winning, and the Sooner O still is struggling. It is very possible nothing changes. Sure, there are momentum switches, but teams can take momentum back. If they can\'t, they don\'t deserver to win.
Yes, it was a fumble, and a blown call, but from the angle the refs had, it isn\'t as obvious as the angle we have. It\'s not like that was the only questionable call in the game, it\'s just what the losers will focus on, because they can\'t accept the fact that they were beaten. Besides, let\'s not forget that the giants were kneeling down the ball in field goal range to end the game. If the Rams scored, the Giants could have easily gotten it back there.
-
Only if they would\'ve thrown it to.....SHOCKEY :) Blown calls happen in every game, Im sure the Rams have won before on a call that could\'ve went the other way but didn\'t....btw another blown call on Sunday- Edgerrin James on the 3rd attempt on the goal line, he was in the endzone and they pushed him out and the refs said no TD...thus proving my above point.
-
w00t, 11-5 this week, making me 18-14 overall, not too shaby, if I pick up the pace this week, I\'ll have a good lead in my pool.
BTW: This week\'s power rankings...
http://www.sportsline.com/nfl/powerrankings
-
With sports being as close as they are, one play can make the difference.
Even in high scoring sports like basketball.
-
But if a team puts themselves in a situation where one play can make the difference, then the game isn\'t really in their hands. If that is the case, then they don\'t deserve to win the game as much as you think they do.
Those power rankings are horrible, by the way. I\'ll say it here and now, the Giants have a much better team than the Jets this year. They also have beaten a better team, and looked better in their games. Yet, for some reason, the Jets are ranked higher. Go figure.
-
it\'s because Vinny is boning the sportsline editor.
-
umm, it\'s gonna take more than 1 win to improve your standings... keep up the pace and NYG could be up there.

Jets > Giants. Martin isn\'t healthy, the Secondary is young. WHY the Jets gave away their entire Secondary just for cap issues is absolutely amazing. Pure idiocy.
Tony, you ALWAYS hype up the Giants. I expect nothing more than an 8-8 season. We\'ll see in the end, though.
By the end of the season, the Cheifs will have a better record than the Giants. Just a little prediction there :)

The Giants played very well against two of the NFL\'s best teams. The Jets were outplayed in their two games. The Giants secondary is even younger, with Will Allen and Will Petterson. I see a lot more upside to the Giants than the Jets.
-
2 best teams? They\'re a combined 1-3. Sure, the potential is there, but they need to prove yet again that they\'re two of the best.
Giants - 8-8. Pure averageness.

The Giants will be much better than last year. They also have many times the talent of the Cheifs :)
-
The Giants are pretty formidable, their defense might be in the top 3 in the NFL at the end of the season, and their offense is good enough to put some points on the board. Collins and Barber are no Faulk and Warner by any means, but they\'re adaquit enough get some scores and let the defense win the games for them.
-
i havnt been too impressed with warner this year. Faulk is performing normally(his standards, which is very good compared to others)
-
ha! cheifs will be 1-2 after this week compliments of the Pats...
sleeper teams of the year are cleveland and New Orleans...
-
Sleeper teams:
1) Bills
2) Browns
3) Panthers
-
the panthers arent for real.
-
Rodney Peete ownz you.
I picked the Panthers to beat the Vikings this week. And not once did I hesitate making the pick, the Panthers only win last year was against the Viks, and they will own the Viks in MINNESOTA.
I\'m really looking forward to this Sunday much more than last.
-
Week 3 picks:
San Diego over Arizona
Atlanta over Cincinatti
GOTWNew Orleans over Chicago
Denver over Buffalo
Green Bay over Detroit
Indianapolis over Houstan
NY Jets over Miami
Minnesota over Carolina
New England over Kansas City
NY Giants over Seattle
Phillidelphia over Dallas
San Fransisco over Washington
Cleveland over Tennessee
MNFTampa Bay over St. Louis
last week 10-6, overall 18-14. Bet against me if you will...
-
saints beat the bears?
we\'ll see about that one buddy...
my upset this week is the lions over the packers.
-
I also picked the Saints over the Bears. And the Bucs over the Rams.
My upset special is the Browns over the Titans.
-
LUKE FYI, New Orleans is probably one of the best teams not noticed IMO. I feel they have a momentum going their way, and with Chicago just barely getting past it\'s last two games, they\'re simply dodging bullets at this point. :)
-
dude, i know N.O. is good, but thier also hella cocky now, and the bears have been getting ripped like crazy around chicago for not playing to thier potential.
saints are looking past the bears... bears are looking to redeem themselves.
wait and see.
-
Arizona over San Diego
Atlanta over Cincinatti
Chicago over New Orleans
Denver over Buffalo
Green Bay over Detroit
Indianapolis over Houston
Miami over NY Jets
Minnesota over Carolina
New England over Kansas City
NY Giants over Seattle
Philidelphia over Dallas
San Fransisco over Washington

GOTW/MNFSt. Louis over Tampa Bay
Not as bad as I thought it would be. I was 9-7 last week, 20-12 overall.
-
I agree with you on everything call..but for some reason I think the panthers will beat MN. I also think the titans will beat cleveland.
No real reasons..just thoughts :)

Cheifs over Patriots :)

Eagles fans are the worst fans ever. Nobody is close enough to match their unsportsman like attitude. I remember once when Michael Irvin almost broke his neck and was seriously injured, and there they are the Eagles fans cheering! WTF!? Thats a human being down there not just a cowboy player. And today they start to chant "Cowboys suck." I really think some of the refs are like this too cuz they called uneccesary roughness on a tackle.
-
boo-fockin who...cheering when he is injured is one thing..but chanting cowboys suck is NOT a big deal...that has happend to evey single team in each sport to date.
-
bears lose a close one... i had sweaty palms toewards the end... jim miller threw an interception in the end-zone with 3 seconds left.
:(
god dammit
-
Browns fans are the real assholes and I\'m one of them!!!
Browns down 14 with 3:30 left in the 4th with no timeouts and they win in OT. Sweet ass game, here we come steelers.
-
sucks to lose a close one, dont it jamas?
-
KC vs NE..great game...
MIA vs NYJ..sad...
SEA VS NYG snore..
CHI vs NO..since I didnt see the game nore highlights..what happend luke?..my guess was that the O AND D feel asleep or something. I saw the score in the corner..20-7..the 20-14(getting nervous now) 20-21(damn)..20-27(shit) 23-30..doh..pissed
-
Pittsburgh is going DOWN next week! your\'e NEXT! I say the browns spotted Tennesee 21 and then decided to play.........that was a nailbiter of a game!

well...
the beloved had a 20-0 lead going into the 2nd quarter and all was good.
then the saints marched down the feild and scored a TD on a good drive... then the bears fumbled the kickoff and the saints got the ball at the bears 5.... another TD.
14 points in about 35 seconds.
20-14
then John f*cking Shoop and his retarded play-calling made it so we couldnt score again untill a feild goal in the fourth...
here my imitation of John Shoop...
"hey, i know were throwing the ball all over this team, but i think we should stop doing that and just run for 2 yards a play and let them win"
-
While I was pissed that they lost..ish happens. Now that they have appeared to have stop doing what was winning b/c of an ass. I am quite pissed.
This kinda almost brings up another point that has been bugging me for a long time. Why is there a need for 1000 different coaches and assistant coaches nowadays? Seems that the list gets longer every few years as well.
-
Har! I picked the Saints!
My picks are sweet this week, I\'ve only missed two. I picked the hopeless shit of a team known as the Vikings, and the Cards.
HOW BOUT\' DEM NINERS?
Can you say, 250 rushing yards?
Hearst- 98 yards
Barlow - 94 yards
Oh so very close...
And that Owens run, with the Jeff Garcia block? Someone please argue with me and tell me another WR that can run better than Owens?
-
Owens=best wr with the ball, EVER!
ok that might be a bit drastic, but damn that boy can run! I nearly shit myself when he made that run..seriously, I put my bathroom break off, and almost put it too far off.
-
Its a shame that Moss doens\'t put forth the effort that Owen\'s does because Moss would be the best without a doubt.

I could name at least 10 people listed at WR who could run better. That\'s why they return kicks.

anybody remember Tammarick Vanover from the Cheifs... he ran like a motherf*cker.
vapor your too young to remember him i bet. my point being that although Owens is a great running WR, there have been better, Jerry Rice in his earlier years was better, so was Vannover.

vapor your too young to remember him i bet. my point being that although Owens is a great running WR, there have been better, Jerry Rice in his earlier years was better, so was Vannover.
Yes, Vanover was great...too bad he decided to get into drugs with Bam Morris, and effectively ruin his career. He was good, though...
Tyrone Williams was another great one for the Saints in the early 90\'s out of Nebraska. I remember a game he played in against the Vikings - returned 2 kickoffs for Touchdowns, and the Saints won in overtime. It was teh great :)
See Yuz.
-
Only great running reciever I remember is Desmond Howard from the Lions.
-
Sorry LUKE gotta disagree, I\'ve been watching football all my life, and watched Vanover and while he was good he had no where the skills of Owens. If he did Vanover would have been a much better player that he was. He was a mediocer WR and a great kick returner. As for Rice, he had the best hands EVER...well I guess he still has hands, but you know what I mean. Even though he had the great hands, he could still not run with Owens. I should really know because I live in a niner family. We have just about every game since 1980 on tape. And Rice didn\'t have the moves, speed or strength that Owens has. Unfortunetly Owens doesn\'t have the focus or hands that Rice had.
-
Yeah I agree with Omen. I\'ve watched Rice his entire career (a majority through highlight reels) and the guy didn\'t have Owens explosiveness. Owens is a BIG reciever. Him and David Boston are alot alike. Owens is nearly impossible to bring down in the open field, and his acceleration is ridiculously good. If you watch him closely you notice he doesn\'t even run normally, he brings the ball with both hands to his chest like he\'s praying and just takes quick gigantic strides.
-
Damn if Marvin Harrison weighed about 20 more pounds I could make an argument for him being the best WR. His speed and agility is so good, shook the hell out of Glenn all game on Sunday. Owens\'s height and weight make him the player that he is. He is much stronger than most of the smaller corners and can brush them off with ease. How about that block by Garcia though...that was nice.
-
Yeah it was sweet. Nothing better than to see your QB sacrifice his health for the team.
Speaking of "sacrifice" how bout\' dem Vikings?
-
if I were Daunte Cullpepper I would have bitch slapped Randy Moss for that wannabe one hander, that turned into an interception. I\'m willing to bet that if Randy had a little bit less talent, he\'d be a better wideout. Because he thinks that his huge talent alows him to half ass it all the time, while a less talented reciever like Marvin Harison is probably a better player.
-
Moss needs to get layed out, some sense knocked into him if you will.
-
or maybe he should just give some effort? quite a lazy reciever for 75 million.
-
Vikings are just going to self-destruct even more. You just don\'t shrug your shoulders and win the next week.
So I\'m gonna go out on a limb and put the Vikings down as the worst team in the NFL.
Yes I honestly think the Lions and Bengals can beat them.
-
too bad the Vikes can\'t give Randy the finger and pay him what he deserves. If he gives 100% effort, he gets 100% pay, if he half asses it he gets half ass pay. I think then we might see him playing like he should.
-
How about \'dem Rams. They are looking so ordinary without Faulk. Looking like 0-3
-
if it weren\'t for fantasy football, this game would be a snore.
-
exactly...Faulk is on my fantasy team, but I lost this week anyway so it really isn\'t a big loss.
-
how cool is it that they use madden 2003 like a telestrator?
i mean its a prerty blatant commercial but its still cool.
-
Yeah I always thought it was cool using madden as a telestrator. I remember last football season on the fox pregame show (when madden did games for fox) they used madden 2002 to show previews of upcoming games and plays different teams would use.
-
the rams are officially done...
and john gruden is officially my favorite coach.
-
Great day! I win my FF game in the PSX2CENTRAL league, thanks to Holt and Pittman. The Rams loose, thus ending their run as the Western Champs...meaning, long live the new kings of the West, the 49ERS!!!
-
The Rams are horrible and the Bucks looked strong.
-
Bucs offense still has a foul stench to it. God their defense though steps up at home all the time.
Mark my words: THE COWBOYS WILL BEAT THE RAMS
....when the Lions beat the Patriots
-
Up by 20 going into the last day, and I still lose. What shit.
Oh well, horray for flukes.
See Yuz.
-
flukes? Fluke my ass. You were up by 15.3 and I had two players who were averaging 8+ each, meaning that if they had average games, I would have still gotten 16 FP\'s. But Torry Holt did have an above average game, and I won by more than I thought I would.
-
*yawn*
I really care about your stats, I really, REALLY do. Honestly, I really do.
*wonders if I can make that more sarcastic than it already is*
Nope, sure can\'t. Then again, I could always yell at you for not even bothering to look at my leauge. Yeah, that\'d be funner.
And keep bitching about how it wasn\'t a fluke, I\'d really like to hear it. Wait...am I being sarcasitc again?
See Yuz.

w00t, 12-2(4 teams had byes) in picks this week. My best thus far! Making me...
30-16 overall, .652 :)
-
I was 10-4. That means I\'m also 30-16 overall :p
-
My picks for week 4: Winners in bold
New Orleans vs Detroit
No contest here. Detroit(IMO the worst team in football) has no chance against the Siants.
Carolina vs Green Bay
It was a nice run by Carolina; but Green Bay, despite their own problems, will bring them down to earth.
Miami vs Kansas City
I want the Chiefs to win SOOOO bad. I see Holmes running all over the Teal Mammallian Fish. However the Chief\'s D is seriously lacking. Hopefully KC will prove me wrong. Go CHIEFS?!
Chicago vs Buffalo
IMO, If Bledsoe continues to play with the heart we haven\'t seen since the Tuna days of Pats football they could pull this out. But then again, the Bears have Urlacher. Bears win.
Dallas vs St. Louis
Rams are struggling; but the Cowboys still aren\'t good enough to handle a struggling Rams team. Dallas is going to be fired up about this one. Could be a good game.
Houston vs Philadelphia
One of the best QBs in the game verse expansion gimme team? Eagles all day.
Cleveland vs Pittsburgh
Cleveland doesn\'t have the firepower to air it out like the Pats and Raiders. Steelers win.
NY Jets vs Jacksonville
I could really care less. Still, I\'m going to say the Jaguars because I can\'t stand the Jets.
NY Giants vs Arizona
Giants win. Cardinals Don\'t.
Tampa Bay vs Cincinnati
Bungles and Smith will be stuffed by Sapp and Sice.
Tennessee vs Oakland
The Geezer\'s paradise squad should be able to pick the Titans apart. Will the loss of Woodson be a factor? More than likely not.
New England vs San Diego
I\'ve gotta go with my Pats in this one. The Chargers have not beat anyone of significance yet and the Pats D showed some kinks last sunday. This should be a good measuring stick for both teams. GO PATS!!! :D
Minnesota vs Seattle
Vikings are struggling for a win. I think the Offense should click this week giving them a win.
Denver vs Baltimore
Denver wins. Period.

Absolutely correct. Go Chiefs...their defense is horrible. The Secondary is bad as it is, and now Warfield and Crockett are hurt. NFL\'s worst Pass Defense...and rightly so. Only way they can win is if they reach the 40\'s in points...and if they don\'t, they end up giving up even more. Horrible.
What\'s sad, was that Jacksonville game...gave up 9 points the entire game, and gave up 2 big plays and ended up losing by a TD because the defense couldn\'t stop the Jags on 3rd and 4. God.
See Yuz.
-
if cheifs win this week they are my new favorite team...
j/k :)
but I sure will appreciate it!
-
I picked KC to take out Miami. The score will be in the 40\'s for both teams.
-
Ricky Williams will run for 200 yards 4 touches, and then I will give Vapor a BJ. (he traded me Ricky Williams in the FF league)
-
I offered a bunch of crap players to vid for McNabb. What do you guys think he said?
-

4 touches? The Chiefs run defense isn\'t the problem, unlike last year. The Pass Defense is giving up about 360 yards a game during the first 3 games...Brady passed for about 420, Holcomb for about 380 or something like that.
Either that, or I\'m assuming the 4 touches thing was directed towards Vapor. Ugh.
See Yuz.
-
I was joking about what Ricky will do, I don\'t seriously expect him to get anywhere near 200 yds.
-
Damn, I feel stupid. What the hell is a "Trap Game"? I have been into football for almost 13 years and I have never heard the term until now.
-
You guys see my home boy Donovan McNabb struck it rich.
Damn Team Cocky Rocks..
115 million dollars. Gotta like that. Too bad it ain\'t guaranteed. Well, at least the 19 mill is guaranteed.

I think he said you were nuts and that he wouldn\'t play a single one of those guys.
Am I right?

lol, pretty much
He also slapped me. :crying:

You know who else kicks ass? Syracuse Orangemen :)

I put my upset specials in glow text. This is going by my standards of what I think is an upset pick.
-
Is Ahman Green going to freaking play?
I can\'t find anywhere anything that says he will definitely play....
-
Nevermind. I found it verified that he will play.
TEAM COCKY ROCKS!!!!!!!
-
Not only that, but both Faulk and Martin are starting :)
Man, I can\'t wait til I get the chance to get my hands on team cocky...
-
Lets go Chiefs!!!
-
Chiefs are in a zone. Damn. Not bad for one of the worst rated defenses in the league.
Miami is blowing nuts.
-
Rams...0-4
Is anyone laughing their asses off at Mike Martz right now?
-
A lot of upsets this week.
-
no F\'n Way! the Browns lost in OT! FG attempt and the ball ticked off a helmet and went wide!...........Pittsburgh gets the ball goes to around the 10 and kicks not 1 but 2 FG\'s (the first one got blocked but Pittsburgh got it back and then GAME over 16-13 Pittsburgh. Maddux (yes the EX-XFL player) came in for mr "limp wristed" cordell stewart and on his first posession he leads the steelers to a TOuchdown.......then in OT throws and interception and the browns almost had it wrapped up.......IMHO they should have thrown it a little to try for more yardage and not gone for the running game........ a great game tho! At least the Indians won!
:hat:ScottyJ:hat:
-
Rams suck. Period. Its not a slump, they suck. You can\'t beat the Cowboys in your home field, you stink.
Next week they visit 3com so they\'ll be 0-5 for sure.
-
WTF happened to the Rams?! They were NFC champs last year and they lost to the Cowboys! I\'m not complainging though.
-
DAMN, My pats are struggling on D.
-
ROAR. CAN YOU FEEL IT NOW. 48-30, Trent Green with 5 TD Passes, and the Defense came up with some big plays late to seal it.
Sure, gave up 30 points...but when you score 48 points against one of the best defenses in the game, you\'re doing something right.
*goes out on the proverbial limb* Chiefs - best offense in football right now. 40, 16 (bad game), 38, 48. Pure Greatness.
See Yuz.
-
:( An upsetting loss for the Patriots. A really tough game, but the true difference was Tomlinson. I give San Diego credit, they are the real deal this year. Let\'s just see if they can avoid what happened last year.
As for my Pats, we\'ll you can\'t win them all. You have to pick your head up and look foward to an important division game next week against the Fins. A loss is never a good thing, but it can lead to improvement, something the Patriots desperately need to do on run defense. We\'ll, I screwed up my picks this week, too many upsets.
-
OH MY GOD!!!
Vapor, you are going house. If you beat Luke it will be a miracle. DUde has 50 points in the first half. Holy Shit!!!
-
YEAH! I AM OWNING LUKE! 50 FANTASY POINTS FOR ALEXANDER AT THE HALF! I\'M DOWN BY 7 TO LUKE AND STILL HAVE DENVER\'S D! BUWHAHAHAHAHA! GOD LOVES ME!
-
OWNED!

-
THat is just sick. I saw how you were over 100 points. I checked it out and couldn\'t believe the score. Must be one whacked game. I was watching Alias so I missed the first half. Damn. Amazing comeback. Must have been the whining you were doing earlier. That always helps.
I love the pic, but Luke\'s team name may offend people. Not sure who these people are and what hole they live in, but apparently it\'s a dirty word and if you put it on your computer apparently bad things can happen.
-
Yep, I was down 60 points before this Seattle game started, gotta love miracles.
-
what\'s a mother f*cker?
I\'m scared, someone hold me.
Vapor you have no idea how funny my trading of Alexander is to me. But lucky for me, I already had this week wrapped up, and it\'s only one game. But still...DAMN!!!
-
You traded Vapor Alexander? Oh that is great. Well a week like this will never happen again. Very sweet
-
wait a second here... i won right? wouldnt know it with the way vapor spouting off. by the way vapor wins the gayness award for saying "owned" way too many times.
also my guy L.T. from San Diego didnt do too shabby.
my team is solid, colts were off this week otherwise put Manning at qb.
-
Luke, that is what is so cool. You kicked ass, but I think you still lost. I haven\'t been on today, but he didn\'t need much to beat you.
-
You didn\'t win yet. He still has Denver\'s D playing tonight, I believe.
-
Oh yeah. I see. Down by 6. Could make it interesting.
-
Denver shouldn\'t have a problem getting Vapor 6 fp\'s against Baltimore tonight. I don\'t see the Ravens putting up any numbers on the offense, but stranger things have happend.
I\'m putting my money on Vapor winning this week.
-
ohhh yeah, denvers on tonight!
-
But didn\'t Brian Greasey trip on his dog or something. Dude, that guy needs to work on his balance. First he falls in the driveway, now on his dog. Oye.
-
yeah....he "tripped"...also known as getting shit faced and falling over.
-
yeah, the rumor is that he\'s a big fat alcoholic
-
Broncos will get me 10 points easily. Ravens have no offense, starting with that joke at QB known as Chris Redman.
-
I really hope that the game between Luke and Vapor is a close one. Like coming down to a goal line stance in the fourth quarter, and a touchdown by the Ravens is needed for Luke to win. At least it would keep me interested in a monday night game that would be pretty boring ordinarily.
Either way, I\'m pulling for Vapor, it would be the biggest FF comeback...EVER!!!
-
Yes it would. I would have never though Shaun Alexander and the Denver defense would get me a combined amount of 60 points.
God... WHAT IS UP WITH YAHOO? Everything loads slower then hell and 80% of the time a blank page comes up. Fix it you bitches! I\'m paying a good 7 bucks for your stat tracker!
-
I can\'t even offer trades, everytime I hit "purpose a trade" it takes about 2 minutes and gives me the old cannot connect to server page.
God damn Yahoo...
-
So post trades on here :)
Might be easier to work em out that way anyway.
-
Who wants Itula Mili?
-
No one. See, now wasn\'t that easy?
-
well I\'m getting ready for Vid next week, I\'ve picked up a couple backup QB\'s \'cause Dante will have a bye week. I\'m trying to decide between T.Green, or Pennington. With that horrible pass defense of KC, I\'m leaning toward Pennington for some reason.
I also picked up some WR\'s who are facing off against the leagues worst pass defenses during week 5. Even if I can\'t deal Taylor or Dillion for a starting WR, I\'m feeling pretty confident for week 5.
-
Out of curiosity, who on my team would you take for Taylor? Perhaps if you put together some options, we could work something out more easily than last time we tried this. I\'m still interested in him.
-
Let me check out your team, but I\'m really looking for wide recievers....
-
Me too. I want a wide receiver. Make me an offer!!!!
My guys sucked this week. Hopefully that means they will be reloading for next week against the a$$ Badgers.. WOOT!
-
i had the worst game of the year, luckily it was against the 49raiders, my wideouts only got like 75yds total! that\'s an average of 25yds each.
-
shockwaves, I\'m thinking about making some packages. So who are your players that you will not trade, and also is there anyone you are looking to trade?
-

Somebody has some math skills.
I have WR\'s. Most of them were on the bench, today. I could probably use a good RB, but I probably won\'t trade with Theomen. Why? Because every trade you propose usually gets ass raped as far as their team goes (literally and figurativley). Just offer something that is FAIR. That\'d do it.
See Yuz.
-
James, I would offer you a trade...BUT, people don\'t believe that Taylor will stay healthy for the season, and only want to trade a backup wideout for him.
Understandably people are affraid of Taylor because of the injuries, but I\'m not going to trade him off and get nothing in return. If need be I\'ll ride him all season, or until he goes down.
Why don\'t you offer a trade, and we can go from there.
-
Why should I have to take a risk for your own benefit? Besides, if I\'m going to give up one of my big 3, I want to get something more than Taylor.
See Yuz.
-
I didn\'t say that you\'de have to take all the risk, we could meet in the middle, but I\'m not gonna trade him for nothing.
check your PM box, if you haven\'t allready.
-
Well, I wouldn\'t want to trade Rod Smith if it were just one for one...at least not at this time. Other than that, any WR is free. I wouldn\'t mind trading someone like Troy Brown or Ed McCaffrey, if you\'re interested in them. Most other players are available for the right deal too, especially since I don\'t expect you to go after Faulk...
-
damn, and I was thinking Kevan Barlow for Faulk even over. well I\'ll have to think of another trade now... :D
-
I couldn\'t believe I found Jamel White lying around! Man what a snag.
Well since I have my new best friend Shaun Alexander with a bye next week, and Thomas Jones isn\'t in full health, I picked up White so I can fill the RB position. Then I lost Stallworth and Mason to injuries so I got Brian Finneran the number one reciever in atlanta and deion branch from the pats.
I\'m also starting Bledsoe for the first week over Favre considering Bledsoe has proven to play well against any defense at home. By the way, Bledsoe is another guy that I picked up who was just lying around like 2 weeks ago. About 70% of my team consists of good free agents that we\'re just lying around.
-
Might have something to do with the reason you\'re still winless :p
-
a few of my fav players on my team came from the free agent pool. Like my number one WR Conway, my San Diego defense (which helped me thrash Vapor a couple weeks ago :)) and pretty much all of my back ups. God I love being one of the few people who checks the FA pool regularily.
BTW, I saw White earlier, I just couldn\'t get myself to part with Barlow for him. I have emotional atatchment to Kevan.
-
If you draft well enough, the free agent pool should only be useful when someone else makes a stupid move.
-
I drafted as well as could be expected, but as all FFers know, the season is made in the free agency, and off of trades.
-
I am light in WR, but heavy in QB and RB. I\'d be happy to trade anyone but Donovan McNabb. I\'d even deliver Ahman green for a good running back and a good wide receiver.
-

Wins don\'t matter, I\'ve always played against the week\'s top scorer. Look at my total points. After this week I\'ll be outscoring you actually. I know its the Win:Loss ratio that determines the playoffs but the total fantasy point sum shows whose team is hot and whose is not.
-
James, and Shockwaves;
Which RB are you guys more interested in, Dillion or Taylor?
-

Not necessarily. It is also about knowing what it will take to win each week. For example, this week I knew that I would have injured running backs, but I also knew that it wouldn\'t be necessary to make any improvements in that area. I could have traded for taylor, which would have boosted my points this week, but would have hurt me in the long run. I knew I was playing someone who was hurt by byes his players had, and wouldn\'t need such a move.
And by the way, I could very easily have more points than you when the points update, considering that I have 2 WRs and a kicker playing tonight.
And theomen, I\'m interested in Taylor.
-
Does Gohan every check his trades? Has anyone else offered him trades?
-
theomen...offer me trades :)
-
I hate it cause I can never remember who has what teams. You guys should have made your user names your ps2 names cause it\'s a pain in the ass.
-
Hmm. I\'d want to offer Terrell Owens and Miami\'s D for Ricky Williams and the San Diego D -- just not sure what he\'d want for that.
See Yuz.
-

Word. You can still change your names people by going to Edit Team Info that is by your Yahoo ID at the top right. I changed mine to Vapor Snake.
-
I can\'t bring myself to give up the Osmosis Kittens. Too much history behind that name :) Maybe if everyone else does, but not til then :-/
-
my team is now "Omen\'s A$$ Badgers"
Shockwaves, I might deal you Taylor for Troy Brown but I\'m working on other trades right now. Seeing if I can get a multi-team trade going.
*Vid check your box*
-
Yep. I followed in Omen\'s footsteps, seeing how Vapor Snake alone is kinda dull my new team name is, "Vapor Snake\'s Penis"
TD Ravens. I\'m losing to by 2.
Damn, I shoulda got the Ravens "D". 3 sacks so far. And a blocked punt.
-
looks like the Luksters prayers are having an effect. Baltimore scores, blocks a punt, and is now in scoring position again.
Not looking good for Vapor.
-
Yeah. Shit. TD Ravens. Good game Luke. You dick head.
-
damn straight buddy.
-
I\'m actually in a no-win situation. I\'m in two leagues. In ours I can\'t have the Ravens score a point. And in the other I\'m down by 12 and have Jamal Lewis playing.
I\'m gonna lose this one, but I\'ll win the other.
-
you could still comeback with some sacks and a defensive td.
but it\'s not very likely
-
Well thats what we said with Shaun Alexander.
I\'m down by 4.86
Thats 5 sacks. Or 2 picks and a sack. Or 1 TD. That is if baltimore doesn\'t score again. Its unlikely but you never know.
Also remember a TD is usually off an INT so thats an automatic 8 points.
-
ONEAL is OUTTA THERE!!!!
HAHAHAHAHA
-
Could the Broncos defense get any more penalties on this drive? Jesus Christ.
**** Deltha O\'Neal and the Broncos. I already dropped them for next week. Buncha retards.
Well I don\'t lose anymore points for a field goal.
-
Broncos are in a "Heap" of trouble....god I love upsets.
Did you see that 108yd 3pt. attempt run back!!!!! HaHaHaHa
LONGEST PLAY IN THE HISTORY OF THE NFL
-
The score is now back to what it was before the game started. A broncos defensive TD wins me the game. *crosses fingers*

I want in :(
-
that was pathetic, Bronco\'s take the night off or something? Looking foward, I believe they have San Diego next week, ouch!
-
How did the Broncos beat the Niners? I can\'t believe it. Oh wait, they had a defense that actually possessed penises.
-
I agree, Denver needs more penis.
-
Their doing what they did last year. Win against the good teams and lose to the bad/not so good teams. I think theyll play well against the chargers since theyre a good team. just my 2 cents. Guess we\'ll see in a week.
-
Denver will be good this year, not great. Not with that clumsy ass alchoholic QB they have.
-
Don\'t celebrate yet.... 6 minutes in the game and I win with a fumble recovery, an interception, or two sacks....
Presently down by 1.86
-
i noticed that all you need is a turn over. Damn, this is really coming down to the wire.
-
they need a lot. They need a turnover, touchdown, 2 point conversion, onside(if theres not enough time to kick a normal kickoff), and at least a field goal. Im a broncos fan, but with all the penalties theyve been making, itll be tough.
-
Well I lost. 2 minutes left. Denver has no timeouts and the ball, so if the Ravens got the ball they wouldn\'t create a chance to turn the ball over.
So, I lose. Shit.
-
sux for you dude. I kinda hated seeing the second greatest fantasy football performance by a player go to waste.
-
bow to the overall might of the mother f*ckers!
-
*looks left*
*looks right*
Owens for Dillon? No way, Theomen.
See Yuz.
-
I\'m 4th in the league in total points. All I need is some wins and I\'m in the playoff picture. You fucks.
-
I\'m 5th in the league in total points, but I beat you, so I\'m better. :)
-
You also beat me. Damn you, the one blemish on my glorious record.
Who\'s responsible for Lukes lose?
-
I beat Luke....
You need a backup QB Omen? I\'m eyeing Driver my friend.
-
That might be a problem... Omen doesn\'t have Driver, I do :D And I don\'t need a backup anything :)
-
Vid, check your PM\'s.
-
I see it. I already sent you a trade offer before I read the PMs. I\'ll think about it for a bit. See if we can work around my trade offer as well.
Dang it, I keep getting my teams confused. You need to give me driver Shock!!! I\'ll give you a cookie and a lemon smoothie.
-
Who wants Favre? I got Bledsoe so there\'s no reason for me to have two great QBs. Personally I more fond of Bledsoe than Favre.
Luketheshitface I see you need a good QB.
-
didn\'t see your post here Vid, before I counter offered. But it does incorperate your offer. I\'m a little weary of it though, because I\'m thinking that it might be giving you the missing block that you need.
If you accept it, and kick my ass sunday I may possibly be suicidal. Especially after giving up Alexander before his big game.

Who would you be willing to give for Driver? I don\'t want any backups for him, but other than that, I\'m open to offers.
Oh, and get it straight. I\'m the Osmosis Kittens, the greatest team ever :)

Hmm.
Well, Theomen, you didn\'t help your cause with that trade offer yesterday. No way in hell I\'m giving Terrell Owens straight up for Corey Dillon. No way.
See Yuz.
-
no vapor, i have manning... he was a bye this week. so i dont need a qb. in fact i dont really need anything... my squad is badass.
im looiking to trade peerless price though, so anybody interested make me an offer.
ill throw in deuce mcallister too for a really good running back, so thats price AND mcallister for a bad ass RB.
-
well your offer of Owens for Ricky Williams wasn\'t too great. No way I\'m going to trade the most consistent RB in the league, for a wide reciever who hasn\'t done anything through three games, and has a QB who got benched in his last game.
Yeah I know Garcia had the flu, but I\'m a Niner fan, I watch their every game, and every play, and I\'ll tell you right now, that Mooch didn\'t bench Garcia because of a flu. I think Vapor will back me up on this. Mariuchi is trying to light a fire under Jeffs ass, and so far it\'s not working.

I didn\'t know you had Priest Holmes.

So you\'re saying that Tim Rattay isn\'t going to give Terrell Owens the ball? Last I checked, Mr. Rattay could throw the ball around pretty damn well. If you truly think that Terrell Owens isn\'t worth Ricky Williams, I guess we\'ll have to wait and see. You and I both know that when Terrell is getting the ball, he\'s the best. Against that Rams defense w/o Aneaus Williams, he should have no problem. Breakout game for Mr. Owens, if I may say so myself.
Oh, and Ricky Williams rushed for a whole 66 yards against the Chiefs. Albeit, he recieved for about 40, but Preist Holmes owned him. Priest Holmes is the better Longhorn.
See Yuz.

And isn\'t it nice knowing where the top 2 RBs in the NFL came from? The eyes of Texas are upon you.

Ahman Green - better than both of them :)
Had Ahman Stuck around for his Senior Year (Solich\'s first year), He would have won the Heisman.

I could say the same thing for Ricky Williams. Oh, wait...
-
Priest Holmes get\'s some props, but I still think Ricky is better.
As for Owens, he\'s my favorite player in the league, but I\'m not going to take the risk that he has a sub par season, which is very likely. Who knows, he may have a good season but until the niners prove to me that they\'ll revamp their offensive strategy and start spreading the field and not zoning in on Owens, he will be shut down.
-
Looking at all the sigs now I see our league is getting much more competitive. Now we need some trash talkin\'.
Jamas, ready for my penis?
-
I just signed up for the fantasy football(i know its week 5 but o well). It is my first time and i have a couple questions. I signed up on nfl.com and it says there is a draft tomorrow for me...is there a draft every week or do u have one draft and have that for the rest of the year. If its only one draft ill be pretty screwed since everyon will be taken...i just wanted to get my foot in the door since its my first time and learn how everything works. Also is it a weekly \'prize\' or a season \'prize\' for doing the best. Cuz if it a season \'prize\' then again im screwed since i missed the first 4 weeks, but o well. Thanks.

Yes...it can leave as fast as it came...and as limp as ever ;)
Got all of my starters back -- you\'re dead, roar.
Oh, and this "Terrell Owens is going to have a Subpar season" stuff is crap. He\'ll still get his 1300 yards recieving. That 2000 number that he wanted, well, that\'s not going to happen, but oh well. Too bad, no Owens for you.
See Yuz.
-
Team Cocky may have a fresh new Rocktober look. Stay tuned for details on a blockbuster deal.
Two things:
1) Shockwaves, check your PMs.
2) You can all suck my team COCKy :D
-
well Jamas, I may not need Owens if a trade goes through. And even if it doesn\'t, I\'ll still have 4 1000yd recievers, a really solid RB, and Ricky Williams. Also if Cullpepper get\'s his act together, then I\'ll be rolling. And in the second half of the Vikings Seahawks game, Cullpepper was looking good. If Moss would have been catching those balls, I could have gotten 30+ points out of Daunte.
And if Randy get\'s suspended, Daunte may be better off because he won\'t have to zone in on Moss half the time. He could start doing what QB\'s are paid for...READING THE FREAKING FIELD!!

Heres my week 5 picks for the heck of it:
Denver over San Diego
Miami over New England
New Orleans over Pittsburg
Tennisee over Washington
Atlanta over Tampa Bay(i took my first decision away cuz if finneran catches the ball, they will win)
Oakland over Buffalo
Carolina over Arizona
New York Giants over Dallas
Indianapolis over Cincinnati
Kansas City over New York Jets
San Francisco over Rams
Philidelphia over Jacksonville
Cleveland over baltimore
Green Bay over Chicago

The ones in "glow" text are my important picks.
-
Do you ever pick the Giants to win?
-
Good question. I just reviewed my picks for each week and have noticed I\'ve picked the Giants only in week 3 against the seahawks. I think they\'re pretty inconsistent and I like Dallas at home. If it was in the meadowlands.... I\'d think about it for awhile... and then I\'d go with Dallas still. :D
And I also hit that Cardinal pick over them last week so I\'m more comfortable picking against them.
-
Only two more days until I reem Vid\'s asshole. Even though I\'m missing two starters this will still be a record setting week, I\'m going to score 139fp\'s. Dillion will have a break out game against the Indy Defense, Williams willl keep his normal numbers, Trent Green will have 300yd 3td game, and my WR\'s will finally pull their weight.
Oh, what joy I will take from the raping of Vid! Better freshen up that stank hole, buddy!

Week 5 Predictions
Last Week: 6-8 (TOO MANY UPSETS! and i didn\'t pick a damn one)
Overall: 36-24
Tampa Bay over Atlanta
Oakland over Buffalo
Carolina over Arizona
New York Giants over Cowboys
Indianapolis over Cincinatti
GOTW New England over Miami (Toss up, whoever can capitalize on their opponent\'s weakness wins)
New Orleans over Pittsburgh
Washington over Tennessee
GOTW Denver over Sandiego (ah what the hell, two great games this week, why not? SD cant win them all)
Kansas City over New York Jets
Philedelphia over Jacksonville
San Fransisco over St. Louis
Cleveland over Baltimore
MNF Green Bay over Chicago (another toss up, but Green Bay has the edge, history has shown)
-
Pats are getting 0wn3d right now :( Wish I was watching the game, but the numbers are not looking good.... Its okay though, its good to have a couple loses durin the season, inspires them to do better.
-
Hey Vapor is Favre still on the block? Seriously I\'m starting Plummer right now, Jake the freaking fake plummer. Please, help me help you.
The Boston Massacre is entertaining all reasonable trade offers. I need a QB right now.
-
Gohan, my penis will be honored to offer you a trade involving the Favre.
I lost again to Jamas, and he had Bennet in. I SUCK.
-
Nope :)
I put in Jamal Lewis after you said that -- Jamal\'s playin\' right now, and Bennett never had a game, thus, you\'re dealing with Jammal, roar.
I am teh win. Fear my 2-3 Record.

I thought I\'d win this week for sure too. If I lose to 49Raiders next week then I\'m quitting guys. Thats just the sore loser prick I am.
At least in my other private league I\'m 4-1. The problem is sometimes I have a player in one league that I need to do well and I\'m playing against him in another. Its so god damn frusterating sometimes.
And I\'m joking about what I said if I lose to 49Raiders. I can go 0-14 and I\'ll still make the playoffs bitches.
-
I cant f\'n Believe it! the Browns almost came back! if there is any Proof couch should be the 2nd string QB look at this game! Holcomb is Much Better! Holcomb comes in and just kicks butt....minus 2 INt\'s but those were tipped. and going for 2! someone should be shot for calling that! if it dont work the first time DONT TRY IT AGAIN!
:hat:ScottyJ:hat:
-
I wouldn\'t go as far as to say Holcomb is better.
-
He gets much more done than Couch.
-
Who would you play next week at QB??
Patrick Ramsey Was vs NO
Kelly Holcomb Cleveland @ TB
Brad Johnson TB vs Cleveland
-
Has Holcomb been named the starter?
-
Not sure, but I ain\'t playing any QB vs the bucs right now... So it\'s really between ramsey and johnson.
-
I\'d pick up Brees, he\'ll be playing against the Chiefs. In other words Brees is a lock for a good game.
-
on a local RAdio Station Butch davis said that couch is the Main QB........sorta sad...........and he talked about how rude the Cleveland fans were to COuch (He did JACK SQUAT when he was in!)
:hat:scottyJ:hat:
-
Brad Johnson hasn\'t been bad. He\'s putting up better numbers than a lot of you guys have for your primary QBs. We\'ll see.
-
I say play whoever sucks the most.
Then I can beat you even worse :)
-
Out of the 5 weeks, you only beat me once and that was when my homey Mr. McNabb and all his posy sucked ass.
You will feel the wrath my friend and it will burn.
-
Yea, Couch is pissed and has a right to be so. Move over Philly, Cleveland is the next asshole town.
-
god damn, Patriots are giving me a heart attack, they can\'t fall apart now! They better be scouting Green Bay tonight!
-
ANyone seen Chicago Bears? I\'ve been watching this MNF game and I was just wondering if they were going to show up any time soon.
-
It\'s all part of my master plan to have Driver score 45 points or so, and give me the best comeback victory ever :)
-
Bend over Omen, I\'m Coming in..
OWNED!!!!
NEXT!!!

They have 4 defensive starters out for a long time and favre is kicking butt as is so its pretty impossible for the backups to stop him. I was just thinking, i saw favres name on the back of his jersey, why is it pronounce FARVE when its french looking/sounding if u sound out, FAVRE,hehe.
-
Someone\'s easily amused...
-
Green Bay wont have it so easy next week... :)
-
Chicago\'s secondary is stinky. They must miss McQuarters and Parrish.
-
That Parish guy, where is he by the way? Oh wait, he\'s on the NFC\'s best team, the 49ers, and made the Rams Sunday a living hell!
As for Vid, yes my butt hole is a bit sore. But the majority of my raping came from Donavan Mcnabb....How I loath him....
But be ready the next time we play, last week of the season, pay back is a biznatch!

49ers - really haven\'t played anybody. Hell, they haven\'t even played the hardest team in their division, Go Seahawks :)

Why don\'t you take your wealth of football knowledge and apply it to fantasy football...
I\'m truly depressed that I only play you once. If I could play you and luckee twice in a season I\'m guaranteed to get into the playoffs.
-
I do apply it to fantasy football. There\'s only so much I can do. Don\'t make any assumptions cuz\' I usually own in fantasy football its just this year has been a ****ing dagger in my side.
Check it:
-
I think the funniest thing is that your point totals put you into about 5th place, but you are dead last....
-
I\'ll bounce back big over 49Raiders and hopefully my team will start producing wins.
-
oh wait... who leads in points again... oh yeah, i do.
damn cloud with his spiffy undefeated record... hes gotta lose sometime.
and i will go out on a limb now and predict vapor is going defeated this season, which is the opposite of undefeated.
-
Here\'s how I see it...
If I lose next week, the chances of me going winless are pretty good.
If I win next week, I\'m gonna build on it and I\'ll win 9 straight.
-
Its nice to see I\'m not the only one that uses the term "defeated".
-
Hm, I\'m 2-3. That needs to improve, and it can...if SOMEBODY WILL DEAL WITH ME THAT\'S A GOOD DEAL. Yeah, that automatically excludes Ass Badger over here.
But yes, I\'m willing to deal, folks...read the board, and you\'ll see :-P
See Yuz.
-
well.......Holcomb is out for 2-3 weeks wiht a fractured leg.......I gues the browns will go 0-3 during that run with Couch as QB....unless he can somehow redeeem himself..........not all the blame should be on him tho...ther were dropped passes and missed blocks everywhere on sunday night.........

I find it a bit funny that James said that Taylor was a piece of trash, but is now trying to pimp him off to Vid. I don\'t know what he offered but I think it was Driver & Taylor for J.Smith & A.Green.
-
see vid, after watching green run all over the beloved arent you glad you didnt trade him?
-
Favre is on the trading block... I\'m actually not sure who I want to trade... its between Bledsoe and Favre....
I NEED A RUNNING BACK.
Garner is hobbled with a hammy injury, Thomas Jones has a bye... I need someone to compliment Alexander god damnit.
-
Yeah, I guess he thinks that because Driver had a huge Monday night game that I will think that he will be worth that every night.
I want driver, but is he worth Green? Um, no... Driver is only worth a point maybe two on average more than Jimmy Smith. and Fred Taylor is right on with Green, although he will probably get hurt soon.
And this is with Green not doing shit.
Green is going to break out of his shell soon.
This trade is just useless. Like I said in the other forum, "It\'s like trading five dimes for two quarters."
-
Vid - Meh, everybody likes quarters, just wonderin\' what you were into as far as a trade goes. It\'s not like that\'s my final offer, and you should know that I want Green pretty badly, being the Husker that he is and all :)
Ass Badger - Eat Shit.
See Yuz.
-
My need is a WR. It actually isn\'t a need, eric moulds is doing very well and Gardner and Smith are doing better than average as well.
But Driver has been doing a couple points more than my guys all year. So my eyes are open to him.
-
quite frankly, I\'d like to see Vid do the trade because he\'ll be alot easier to beat if he does. But other than that, I see no reason to do the trade. It\'s a huge gamble. Taylor will go down sometime this season, and Driver isn\'t that far above Vids current recievers.... But if he wants to do the trade, well then good for me.
-
Seriously, go eat your own shit. I wasn\'t trying to be funny, check out your local toilet sometime, you might find some.
As for that trade, it\'s an even trade...it\'s more about wants than it is about needs. But go ahead, try to contrast it differently. You\'re not involved anyway, so basically, butt out.
See Yuz.
-
was I talking to you? I don\'t remember asking for your opinion, nor a comment from you. And if you can\'t converse without using sometype of expletive, or a pedestrian insult, by all means please be quiet.
As for myself, I was simply stating that I didn\'t think it was a wise trade on Vids part, there was absolutely no need for you to cop an attitude. I\'m not sure what your problem is, maybe you weren\'t breast fed, maybe your daddy didn\'t love you enough, but go get some prefesional help, keep your bitchy attitude out of the forums, and leave me the hell alone.
-
No, you weren\'t talking to him. You were trying to hurt his chances of having a trade he\'s working on accepted, so it involves him.
As for it being unfair, Taylor is ranked higher than Green, and Driver is higher than Smith. With the offense in Green Bay, I wouldn\'t expect that to change. Here\'s a stat on Green you might want to look up. How many TDs inside the 10 do you think he had last year? This is Favre\'s team, and no where is that more apparant than in the red zone. While everyone else rated him as the 2nd best RB in the NFL, I rated him as the fifth or sixth. So far, his fantasy numbers have backed that up. They have also backed up my predictions that Holmes and Williams would have better seasons.
-
Watch out Jamas he\'ll rape you!!!!
-
well James made the same exact comments about Taylor just a few pages back, when I was trying to trade him, but I had the class not to attack him. I simply took it for what it was worth, and continued on my way.
For some reason James is harboring some type of resentment towards me, and I\'m quite unaware of why? He goes out of his way to inusult me, and I\'m honestly right on the verge of tearing him a new asshole. However if he is kiding around, like how Vapor and I do, then \'whatever\'... But it seems to me that it is nothing but prepubesent pent up rage.

As for you, Ass Badger, what do you want me to say? Oh, I\'m sorry, lets be friends? Lets see here, you\'ve ignored my league, gave me shit about how I was kinda poed when you pulled that one game out a couple weeks ago, and finally, you went hypocritical and rejected my plea to cancel that trade. THANKS.
Yeah. Whatever.
See Yuz.
-
Yeah, I think it kinda starts with the fact that you haven\'t touched your team in our league. You can spend all this time arguing a trade not even involving you in this league, but you can\'t even look at that team.
-
you were pissed at me because I beat you in Fantasy Football?
Well let me just go kidnap Logan and hold him for ransom because Vid beat me this week. Oh and Shockwaves, since you beat me in week one, I\'m gonna have to burn your house down.
I\'ve ignored your league?
Well maybe I should hunt down cloud, and kick him square in the sack, because he\'s been quiet in the PSX2league?
God damn James, stop taking shit so personal. Until recently I really never even paid attention to you, so why would I go out of my way to make your life anymore miserable than you\'ve already made it. It\'s the damn internet, you need to learn to let stuff role off your back, because if you take everything so personal, you\'ll probably go insane and be the next "Maryland Sniper"....or Nebraska Sniper in your case.
-
Did you ever consider that maybe there was a reason you were the one invited to that league? Of all the people on this board, James thought the highest of you, and chose you over everyone else to take the final spot in the league. You then accepted it, and proceeded to completely ignore the league, not ever showing up for the draft. It\'s not like you don\'t have the time or opportunity...I mean, you\'re constantly on the fantasy football page for the psx2c league, and it doesn\'t take much to take care of another team. I think that it is very sad though that when someone thinks so highly of you, and you respond with such complete disrespect, you have a hard time seeing why that person might have some anger towards you. You brought this on yourself.
Yes, it is the internet. But that doesn\'t mean that if you treat him this way, even if it isn\'t as obvious as what he\'s done recently, that he can\'t treat you like shit back. It\'s the internet, yes, but that doesn\'t mean that you can just treat people like shit and expect nothing to be returned.

Yes, I like sarcasm too, bud. That ties in with the class thing, right?
Not once did I mention that I was having mental anguish over the fact that you doing the things you were doing. These are things that grate on me. Not once did I mention you "going out of your way to make my life more miserable than it already is" (nice shot at my personality, too). If you interpret it that way, well, you must think pretty highly of yourself.
Nebraska Sniper? Wow. That was out of nowhere. I\'m sure that soon enough, I\'m going to turn into some 45 year old who thinks that he\'s god, and goes around shooting children. And yes, again, horray for sarcasm.

I had no idea that much thought was put into the invitation. While it\'s not an excuse, I honestly completly forgot about that league. I have now looked at my team in that league, and will be playing from here on. But I still am under the impression that James is an extremly over emotional person, and takes things far too serious, but I will not harbor any bad feelings towards him.
-
You think he\'s bad now, you should talk to him when the Cubs are losing (aka most of the summer) :)

Grr......grrr......penis?

It\'s racism. James likes Penguins, while he hates Gorillas.

Hopefully your little schoolyard tiff will be over now. I\'m not sure, but I think we are suppose to talk about football here.
And Theomen, I\'ve reinforced my doors at Logan\'s wishes. "Keep the penguin away," Logan said.

my upset pick is the bills over the texans!

I did say "My Standards". Regardless, Minnesota is favored over the Lions.
And despite what the spread may say, I think the Panthers are the better team overall.

ummmm.... GO BILLS! :D

See shockwaves. This is why I hate picking for the Giants. They are the most inconsistent team in the NFL.
Bah. My picks reek of dog shit.
-
Your right, go losing when you have 3 of your 4 starting D Linemen out, one of your starting CBs out, and your starting TE out.
-
WTF World Champs drop 3 in a row, well, I guess they\'ll have to turn it around like last year.

Or prove, like everyone said all offseason, that they infact can\'t take a champion\'s schedule. :)

Chiefs up 10-7 with 9 left in the 2nd quarter, not a real scoring fest like I thought it was going to be -- not yet, anyway.
Chiefs have a blocked punt and a fumble recovery...not bad :)
As for the Giants, they\'re trash. And yes, I said that just to get a rise out of Tony. So sue me :)

How does their offense get so many yards, yet they never seem to visit the end zone?
I learned another valuable lesson.
NEVER PICK THE BENGALS.

anyone watching the Oakland vs St.louis game? Bulger is doing pretty damn well, and he got my boy Tory Holt a touchdown.

I wouldn\'t jump on his wagon so soon though... We all saw what happened to Ramsey today afte r his huge first game.

They\'re certainly doing better than the Rams.
-
So maybe two things I believed from the beginning will be proved:
A) The Pats can\'t handle a champions schedule.
B) Mike Martz is a moron.

I\'m screwed. Damn good FF game though Shock....
My tight end needs to get in the freaking game.
Come on Miami!! Get Denver off the freaking field!!

someone with stat tracker post up the current outcomes of the FF league.

As for the Giants, they\'re trash. And yes, I said that just to get a rise out of Tony. So sue me :)
See Yuz.
The Scoring fest happened. Chiefs had a 31-21 lead with 5 minutes left, and a 34-28 lead with 2 minutes left...and the horrid secondary let them go right down the field, and the Chargers win 35-34.
I am not happy.

Damn Shockeaves, you are playing out of your mind tonight. Your dudes must have been psyched to play the cocky...
-
I was quite happy with my WR\'s today, Holt had 80yds and a touch, Conway went for over 130yds and a touch, and Keyshawn contributed with 64yds. If only Ricky Williams could get me some points....
-
You are playing Luckee.. Dude, you could bench everyone but the kicker and beat Luckee.
Mine and Shockwaves game is the bomb.. Nothing like getting high scores, but having your opponent score high as well.
I just wish I was on the higher end.

Yeah, one hell of a week I\'m having. Faulk finally did something, Henry had a hell of a game. I already have over 50 points more than I did last week :)
-
Hey guys! Look at me! I might win my first!
*hugs a penis*
-
I think even Vapor\'s Penis could have beaten Luckee this week.
Anyways, I do feel a bit better about my win now that Ricky has 2 TD\'s. If my WR\'s and RB\'s are on for the rest of the season, I shall 0wn!
-
And if mine are on, I will own more. After all, I have beaten you already, and if they are on, I don\'t know how much better you can get than my Harrison, Smith, McCaffrey/Faulk, Martin, Henry combo :)
-
Vid, and the game winner.
JASON ELAMS 55-YARDER FOR THE GAME!

try a Cullpepper, Holt, Conway, Keyshawn, R.Williams, Dillion combo :)

one word for the Sunday night game;
DAMN!!!!!!!!

Or not...
either way Vid got screwed by Elam.

I picked that game.

At their best, I\'d take Brooks, Harrison, Smith, McCaffrey, Faulk, Martin, Henry over that combo any time.
And yeah, that game rocked :)
-
Yeah at their best, too bad this isn\'t the 2000 season, huh :)
-
Hey, who did better today?
Who did better last time we played?
:)
-
I\'ll wait until week 10 for my retrobution :)
hopefully I\'ll have my starters actually starting....god damn cloud
-
Week ten, Kevin and Keyshawn Johnson both have byes for you, and Travis Henry has a bye for me. Man, I\'m gonna 0wn you :)
-
Good god...I swear, my entire team has a bye when I play Cloud. I lose Brooks, Smith, McCaffrey, and Elam :(
However, it kind of evens out. He has Muhammad, Holmes, and Walls on bye weeks.
-
Well thankfully Kev Johnson doesn\'t start for me, but I\'ll have to put D-Jax in as a starter for Keyshawn....but Ricky Williams will be playing against the piss poor Jet\'s defense, so he should be a lock for 50fp\'s ;)
-
You both suck....my penis.
-
GO DOLPHINS!
Way to beat those Broncos, giving the Cheifs a chance to make a move next week against Denver in KC.
I predict that the Chiefs will win, 45-42, Holmes has 3 TD\'s, and Gonzo catches 2.
Sad thing is, that doesn\'t seem realistic...but it\'s probably true.
See Yuz.
-
I couldn\'t believe the cheifs lost to the fricken chargers.
-
Uh...the Chargers are good.

Chargers - 5-1, Only loss at Denver. Currently are tied with neumerous teams for the best record in football.
Yes, losing by 1 point to the "Fricken Chargers".
Yes, I\'m still angry. Bah.
See Yuz.
-
I thought the Chargers were good. I\'ve watched a couple games and they almost look like the best team out there.
-
I see them every week(id rather see denver every week but thats besides the point) and they are a very good team. Tomlinson is one of the best running backs right now and Brees is having a good first year as a starter. Their defense is shaky right now cuz seau is out with a hurt ankle and hes day-by-day but with him they stopped a lot of running games. They have a good chance but their the best division with the broncos, raiders, and the chiefs.
-
Niners win! WOOOOOO!
It\'s a great day to be a Bay Area sports fan....well aside from the Raiders....
-
Next week is huge for the NFC, their two best teams, Niners and Saints are gonna have the deciding battle.
And I\'m not worried one bit about the Seacocks, considering they always play well with the spotlight on them at home. That was their only shot, and they blew it, I can\'t wait till\' we annihilate them when they come to 3com.
-
The next couple of games are gonna be rough, first they have the Saints, then Arizona and finally the Raiders. The Cards don\'t worry me, but with the Saints and Raiders in there....I\'m a bit worried to say the least. i think the Niners are capable of beating both teams, but that doesn\'t mean that they will.
-
I\'m confident we\'ll beat the Saints with little struggle. However, the Raiders game is gonna be a good one.
-
Don\'t count the Rams out of the post season just yet...they are very capable of winning 6 straight and being right back in the thick of things..
-
The Rams are 1-5. Face facts, they aren\'t that good. It is very possible to miss the playoffs at 9-7...teams did that last year. That means to guarantee themselves a spot, they have to win all but one game. They aren\'t that good. Warner is out, and the team has been very beatable this year.
-
WOOOHOOOOO!!!
I get Vapor Snake this week!!
God I wish I played this pitiful team twice.
-
this week is also the battle for 1st place between me and cloud.
-
We all remember what happened to the chargers beautiful 5-2 record last year, am I correct?
-
yeah but LT wasnt running like this last year... he\'s one of the best RB in the NFL now.

Dude I\'m easily in the top 5, look at my point total. Remember the more you inflate your head, the bigger the pop.
Man, I had some respect for the Seahawks as an admirable contender in the NFC West, but I guess they are typical cry baby sore losers, with the exception of Shaun Alexander. All of them inculding that hog Holmgren were crying and pouting over Owens\' "signature" move. Focus on your shitty joke of a defense and quit worrying about our skills. I hope next time we play them Owens whips his penis out and pisses on the Seahawks logo.

Meh. Just you wait until November 10th, when the deadly KANSAS CITY CHIEFS COME TO SAN FRANCISO!
Blah, you know the Chiefs will win ;)
And about that 5-2 record that the Chargers had last year, yeah, they were damn good. Then they lost to the Chiefs in KC...and proceeded to lose 9 straight :)
See Yuz.

Well I looked through our last weeks and you actually would have beaten me twice. I\'m shocked. So I am 4-2 against you.
You still suck even if you beat me.
-
THE LOS ANGELS RIDERS WILL WNI THE WORLD BOWL!!!!111
KEKEKEKEKE!!11
(I had to get at least one post in on this NFL thread.)
-
And Owen\'s, "signature" move just gets more interesting!
Here\'s what the "losers" have to say:
Mike Holmgren: "shameful\'\' and "a dishonor to anyone who ever played this game.\'\'
CB Willie Williams: "It\'s eating me up, and I\'m not going to forget about it, I can\'t wait until December. If I get a legal shot, I\'m going to take it.\'\'
DE Chad Eaton: "To come into our stadium and show us up like that ... Just goes to show you he has no class."
Majority of Seahawks team: More than one Seattle player suggested retaliation might be in order when the teams play at San Francisco on Dec. 1.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
What the vertebrates have to say:
Terrell Owens: "My coach wasn\'t bothered by it,\'\' Owens said. "He thought it was funny, just like a lot of people. I think (Holmgren), being on the losing end of it makes him bitter. It\'s not like I\'m disrespecting the game or I disrespected him. They\'re going through a tough time where they\'re 1-4 and they got beat in their home spot. Obviously, he has some issues that he has to deal with.\'\'
CB Shaun Springs (A seahawk!): "I felt it was harmless, (and) at the same time, I thought it was funny, being creative. So it has gotten more attention than I really expected.\'\'
C Jeremy Newberry (Niners): "It\'s really getting blown out of proportion,\'\' said center Jeremy Newberry, who also vowed to help protect Owens from any cheap shots from the Seahawks.
RB Terrell Davis (Retired): "Hey, that was cool,\'\' said Terrell Davis, the Denver Broncos\' recently retired running back. "I don\'t care what nobody says, man, that was cool. That was all right. That was original. No one else thought about doing that. Only Terrell Owens could do something like that, you know?\'\'
Bottom line. Tune in December 1st. After only one meeting the two teams have already created a heated rivalry. I just would love to see the Seahawks try to pull one on Owens AT 3COM.
December 1st. Bring it.
-
i think its gay that this is even being talked about so much... the NFL is becoming more about shit like this than about football and that REALLY worries me.
-
Well it wasn\'t a big deal on the rest of the NFL\'s side, its just that the gayness of the Seahawks had to "blow it out of proportion" by insisting on some sort of punishment for what Owens did, which was basically nothing.
Seahawks = teh gay.
-
god damn, the NFl has to blow everything out of porportion. I say, let them play, let the celebrate, and hell even let them taunt. If the other team doesn\'t like it, then they should vocalize their opinion on the field with their actions.
-
HEhehe. I haven\'t watched the news all week cause I\'ve been so busy. I saw it last night and I thought it was hilarious. They showed on the daily show an ESPN News interview with the dude from Robot Wars and Terrerl Owens. Owens schooled him after the guy tried to throw him a really belittling question. Pretty funny.
-
Owens...meh.
I thought it was cool when I first saw it. Why it has to be such a problem is ridiculous. It pains me to see that this gets more attention than the thrillers in Denver and San Diego last week (even though that one in SD pissed me off, blah).
Owens, do whatever the hell you want. As long as you keep hauling in Touchdowns, I don\'t give a damn...just don\'t do it on November 10th ;)
See Yuz.
-
DAMN I HAVE NO CLUE OF WHAT OWENS DID!?!?!? what did he do!?!?!
Whatever it was i bet it was something coo. i remember the cowboys game last year, running up to the star, man that was funny as hell, ohh noo but cry baby Emmit and Teage coulnt take it!! ohh no poor babys.....
I think that whatever owens did he had the right too. i mean every player does. celebrating and pissin off the other team is just part of the game. whats good bout kicking somebodys ass and not making fun of them!?!? its just part of the competitive spirirt. If they want football to be some kind of "respect everyone, and be serious" type of game, then why not just scrap out football and watch golf!?!
NINER!!!NINERS!!!!!! NOV. 10 MY ASS!!!!!NINERS ALL THE WAY!!!!!!!
-
He pulled a pen out of his sock and signed the football after catching a touchdown pass. He then gave it to someone in the luxery boxes right on the field. I have no problem with it other than the fact that it just shows the massive egos these players have. And their is such a thing as excessive celebration. IE, the game where he went to the star. When Owens is the best WR he can maybe do half the stuff he does now.
-
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!
HEY I SAW THAT GAME!!!
I DIDNT THINK IT WAS SHOWING OFF AT ALL!!!!!
what is wrong with that, they were both friends, and owens promised him the ball if he scored!! what is wrong with that!?! cuz he had the idea of puttin it in his sock!?! damn!!
celebration is celebration, i bet if anyone of us felt the way it feels to score a touchdown and upset a team, we would do the same things. i dont see anything wrong with celebrations, the star one was the greates one ever. if they didnt like it then why dont they do the same thing........ohh they cant cuz they lost!!! if the seahawks would of won then it would of been stupid...but if you know you got the game locked then why not do it, if your one of the best and you know it why not celebrate. and owens is the best WR, well not the best, but hes damn good.
-
So you have no problem with this whole ego trip players are going through?
-
NOPE NOT REALLY!!
i mean if theyre good and it seems like the appropiate time then why not!?!
every once in a while, its not like owens or anybody else does something like that everytime they score. On the other hand, that guy that i cant remember his name, plays for the vikings, got arrested and still thinks hes the best...i dont remember his name though!!! well someone like him, that i have problems with, his team aint nothing, he doesnt have a right to feel like hes the best.
-
But MOSS is better than Owens so he can think he\'s the best all he wants. Especially if they can have egos as big as the Sun.
-
MOSS is not better than OWENS!!
if he is he is not showing it!!!
He has the biggest EGO ever!!
hes the biggest cry baby ever!!
Owens knows when he should do what he does!! owens also admits it when its his fault that they lost a game or when a mistake happens. But you know i really think theres nothing wrong with a lil fun. even if people blow it out of proportion, who cares its his own way of celebrating you cant blame him.
-
Owens has showed who has the bigger ego. And Moss is better. Arguing opinion is fun. :)
-
the only reason owens "shows" his "bigger" ego is because he actually scores and knows what winning a game feels like.......
your right this is fun :)
-
Haha, don\'t worry Moss does score. His dances are just LESS elaborate.
-
maybe owens should give moss lessons....that would be cool, then some how next year moss leaves the vikings and goes to SF wow that would be cool too!!!
but still
SF ROCKS SF ROCKS
BOTH OF MY TEAMS MADE IT FAR......GIANTS AND NINERS!!!!!!!!!
-
Why Moss isn\'t better than Owens:
1) Owens has a better recieving corp around him.
2) Owens has a better QB than Moss. EASILY.
3) The Niners running game helps the passing game spread out, and the Vikings have a joke of a running attack.
4) Owens is a ball hog. He needs it every down. He wants it every down. Moss plays when he wants to play.
5) Owens knows how to control himself off the field. Sure he says a few things here and there regarding the Niners coaching decisions, but most all star NFL players do anyway. Moss has had catfights with Culpepper, sprayed an NFL referee with a water bottle, and presently on the league\'s substance abuse policy.
SirMystiq, having Moss come to SF would not be cool. He actually would be on the bottom of my list if the Niners were looking for a WR. Moss and Owens on the same time? No way, that would be chaos. Owens just needs a WR to compliment him, I personally have alot of faith in Stokes.
If you ask me, Moss doensn\'t even get the number two spot, because I think Marvin Harrisson is better too.
-
Now this is too funny on your reasons why. Individual talent is what makes Moss the best.
-
Well we can\'t argue individual talents, so thats why I came up with those particular reasons.
-
But then thats not too fair at all. He\'s a good player on a bad team.
-
moss is still as good as if not better than owens, you just aint seein that now. you will again trust me.
owens is damn good though dont get me wrong.
the onoly problem i have with celebration is when it either holds up the game, or it is gay and lame.
owens running to the star held up a game, he deserved a penalty and i think i remember he got one.
the autograph thing last monday was funny and it didnt hold up the game, so its fine by me.
as far as the gay and lame thing... whatch donald driver dance after he scores... he dances like a girl i swear to god... like a girl.
-
Am I nuts for not playing McNabb this week? I just don\'t see him scoring much against the Buc Defense.
-
LMAO!
They fined OWENS, $5000 "for not having his shirt tucked in" in the Seahawks game.
Ya Riiiiight
-
Hahaha, yeah, they had to nail him for something :)
They wouldn\'t nail anybody else with that...I see that all the time. Oh well, just tryin\' to make some cash off of T.O. :)
See Yuz.
-
You would actually be suprised how much they nail different players for that, it just never gets public. Obviously this one would.
-
That celebration was great. I\'m for all the celebrating a player wants to do after a touchdown. Ego or not, I don\'t care as long as he plays hard, which Owens does, and doesn\'t hurt his team, which Owens doesn\'t. It\'s entertaining, and it hurts no one.
Moss is better than Owens in terms of skill. However, he doesn\'t try as hard, takes plays off, and hurts his team. He destroys their team chemistry in a lot of ways, while Owens doesn\'t. Moss is the better player, but I\'d rather have Owens on my team.
-
Moss= better athlete; Owens=better player. As for the fining of the \'untucked shirt\' is stupid, i see mike alstott with his shirt untucked every game. If they were gunna find a way to sue him, they couldve been a little more creative.
-
No one reads my post, sorry mm but I understand.
-
By the way vid, my players\' matchups seem alot more favorable than yours
-
Yes i agree with everysingle one of you, xcept for the ones that said celebrating is bad...if a celebration holds up the game....who cares!?! its better watching some guy make fun of the other team, than waiting 30 minutes for a team to score.....
damn in this country you really CAN sue for anything.....
-
i didnt say celebration was bad. I just think its stupid if it holds the game up. I get up at 10 in the morning to see a football game, not the soul train.
-
hahaha....soul train.....hahaha but yeah i see what you mean...but its not the celebration that holds up the game..remember the legendary Star one??? it woulnt have held up the game if the cowboys teage wouldnt have been a bad loser and tackled owens..that held up the game..
-
On a side note, Terrell Owens is a complete idiot. A comment that I heard he made today said this was another way for the NFL to try to hold his race back because black players just celebrate more. If people don\'t want seperation in races, they shouldn\'t bring it upon themselves.
-
I have 2 questions for my fantasy football this week. For QB\'s i have Vick, Mcnair, and Maddox. Vick is probable, mcnair has a bye, and Maddox is doing pretty decent. I dunno whether to start Maddox and be safe, or trust that Vick wont get hurt again. Also, i have the broncos defense and the browns. The broncos have been doing pretty good but have the chiefs who are good offensivly but denver has been shutting down the run, and trent green is out(i think). The Browns have been sucking but they play the texans who average 13.5 points a game. Can anyone give me their opinions on whther to start vick or maddox and the browns or the broncos?thx. l8er.

Yeah I agree, that was pretty immature of him to say that. But he does say many things I don\'t agree with, but thats just T.O. being T.O.

I know. That\'s why I am thinking about benching McNabb in favor of Ramsey. Sounds hard to believe, but I just don\'t see Philly doing much offensively. Bucs have been very stingy on D as I\'m sure Cloud345 can attest.

Owens crossed the line there. He lost a lot of respect from the players when he pulled that stunt.
George Teauge was absoluety RIGHT for what he did! Teague being an ALABAMA boy, he is one of my favorite players. I just wish he had broken one of Owens bones when he slammed into him.
Owens is a character in his own right. Now he is trying to blame racisim on his fine. As BOZCO stated earlier, players are fined all the time for the shirt tail violation. It\'s just never in the news.
I didn\'t have a problem with Owens pulling the sharpie out of his sock and signing the football. I actually thought it was rather cool. Even Springs didn\'t have a problem with it.
90% of the time, it\'s not OWENS actions that get him fined, it\'s his mouth. I don\'t like him one bit, but he is still a pretty good player. But to pull the race card out on this latest fine, is just plain ignorant!
He says white boys can\'t score TD\'s! Well I want to see him tackle Alstott in the open field when he is zeroing in on Owens chest! Then we\'ll see what he has to say about those "white guys" that never get into the endzone.
OWENS = PUNK
-
Yes, he is...absolutely. He\'s still a good fantasy player, though :)
As for Vapors picks...the 2-3 Ravens beating the 4-1 Jags isn\'t an upset? That\'s a bit confusing. I do like the confidence boost with the Chiefs, though. Chiefs are goona win 45-42 :-D
See Yuz.
-
Well the Jags are likely to be without Brunell, and its in Baltimore..... and Jamal Lewis is hot, while the Jags run defense is not. However, just to make myself seem cooler when the Ravens do win, I\'ll add it to one of my upset picks.
-
Baltimore won\'t have the best linebacker in football in though.
-
What are you talking about? Peter Boulware is playing.
-
Yes, everybody\'s favorite Florida Seminole. Well, we love Peter Warrick, don\'t we? :)
See Yuz.

I\'m a Marvin Jones man myself. Coles isn\'t bad either. Neither is Cowart.
