Title: Depressed
Post by: GigaShadow on September 05, 2002, 06:21:55 AM
Ahhh well during lunch I am going to take Turok back to Circuit City (its still unopened and I still have a receipt).  I have been looking at reviews of this game and the consensus is that is it sucks majorly.  I bought it for the Xbox because I am really wanting to get some use out of it.  I was hoping Blade II would be out, but alas it isn\'t.  I have Halo, PGR and Dead to Rights for the Xbox and like 34 games for the PS2.  I have bought everything I feel that is worth getting for the PS2 so I am not going to buy another one.  On top of that I have 3 PS2 games sitting on my shelf still in their wrappers.

Anyway, I am going to exchange it for an Xbox game if I could only figure out which one to get.  I am not a fan of Buffy, don\'t particularly want DOA 3, I have The Thing for the PC...  So there is my dilema.

Some of you will say wait until "insert game title here" comes out.  Well I have already preordered everything I want and if I just return it my wife  will take the money and spend it on something else.  Heh - so lets see can anyone persuade me to buy decent Xbox game?

It is so depressing just having this system sit here and "collect dust" as some say.  I am determined to find some enjoyment in it:eek:

mm is lying.  he loved Munch\'s Oddysee.

Munch is about as good as 3D platformers get (which isn\'t saying much)  JSRF is pretty good also (did you ever play the original?)

Don\'t mention JSRF or else we\'ll get mm\'s "More cream, less puff" tirade, again...

GigaShadow, Pick up Enclave or Morrowind for the Xbox.  Great games.

No get Dead to Rights. Morrowind is boring shit, and if you want a game that is in Turok\'s realm Dead To Rights should be your selection.

Well if you return that game, and the 3 PS2 games you could afford a GC. I would rather have a GC than a game unless that game is better than all the games on GC COMBINED!

Heh I don\'t have room for anymore consoles...  I have Morrowind for the PC - have had it for around 4 months now...  I bought Blade II and it doesn\'t seem that bad.  Not a fantastic game, but its ok.  I am debating on whether to get MOH Frontline for the PS2 but I have heard that the Xbox version will have multiplayer so I might wait.

I have to admit my interest in the GameCube has grown ever since I bought it for my 11 yr old (he doesn\'t live with me) when he came down for the summer.  I have a 10 month old now, but I don\'t think I could justify buying it for him to my wife. ;)

He took the GameCube with him when he went home.  I just watched him play 007 and Luigi\'s Mansion.  Its not a bad system at all.

On another note - Blade II - its pretty much a concensus that it sucks.  I find it entertaining, however the only problem I have with it are the controls.  Not what I am used to, but after a few hours of playing they aren\'t that bad.  This doesn\'t mean I would recommend anyone purchasing it without playing it.  Right now, it is definitely at the bottom of the games I currently have for the Xbox.  In any case I did rent Turok and I am glad I returned it, but all things being equal I don\'t think I made a noticable improvement by purchasing Blade II either.
