Title: Ys Eternal Complete
Post by: mejilan on September 05, 2002, 10:29:29 AM
I don\'t imagine that we have any oldschool hardcore Ys fans on these forums, if we do, a quick shout-out to Ys Book I & II on the Turbo CD... like the only game worth getting those two systems for!

Anywho, about a year or two ago, Falcom came out of their hibernation (and tendency to pump out endless soundtracks of their few, though awesome games) in order to release unto the world (read: all two and a half Japanese Windows 95+ PC users) the penultimate version of Ys Book I & II, dubbed appropriately enough, Ys Eternal I and Ys Eternal II.

As all two and a half American Falcom fans remaining held their collective breaths in anticipation for the inevitable US release announcement... heck, that announcement never came.  Anywho, around August 15th of the year 2002, NCSX (http://www.ncsx.org) those wonderful people that provided me my copy of Sin and Punishment, announced that a then unnamed American developer would be localized Ys Eternal I and Ys Eternal II into
English, for the American Windows environment, and releasing them both in a collector\'s edition type of package (along with a few extras.)  All in all, only about 10,000 copies of the game will be produced, according to NCSX.com

Well, if anyone is interested, you can join me in awaiting some further word from NCSX, who presumably will be the agent through which this unnamed American developer will be releasing the game in those limited quantities.  Wheeeeeeee...
