well, this I tell you in only a rumour inside nokia, I work for nokia, at HQ in helsinki/finland and there have been a lot of rumours circulating in the hallways about this. That is Nokia wants to enter consol industry by 2004-2005

The rumour has it that they will do a hand held machine first a la gameboy, but with an integrated mobile phone (of course)
and then later launch a consol.
The possibilites would be hugh with 3G later on, if the hand held could communicate with the consol, the consol could then act as a game server over wireless broadband. Imaging the possibiltes that would bring. To have access to the main consol power on your "gamephone" or what ever it might be called.
this though only what I have heard, and I am not counting on it at all. But atleast you can firm your own oppinion about it

nokia\'s crap. They must have the worsed support I have ever had to put up with - mobile phones with the worsed quality and most imaginable problems.

does that mean when someone pisses me off on the phone, and I throw it at a wall, that I\'ll have to buy a new gaming system to boot?

Oh come on, it\'s not even out of the rumor stage and you guys are bashing it already. Bunch of hataz :p
I\'d give it a chance if it gets some good support and decent games on it. Besides, we could always use some more competition in the handheld arena. Heh, then again.. Nokia could go down in gaming history as the first handheld to give you brain cancer. :p

I\'m with mm on this one. This will either be a specialized and expensive product that will only cater to a very niche audience (CD-I, 3DO, etc) or simply be vaporware like the Indrema Dream.
