Title: Any tips to get less lag on 56k

I just tried UT online and it wasn\'t TOO BAD, I still got a few secs delay so it was pretty gay, although I did beat someone with a ping under 10 though. So is there any tweaks or somthing I can use or just some tips...... and getting broadband is not a tip :D

only advise i can give u is stick to servers that are closest to you and also dont run any programs that consume bandwidth while playing.

You could also piss around with your modem\'s init string, but unless you know what you\'re doing there\'s a chance you\'ll jus end up frustrated and with worse lag than before. I\'d check some internet forums and do some quick searches to find init strings that have worked for other people. The difference isn\'t going to be great, but there\'s a chance you can shave about 10 to 20 ping off your normal rate.

Oh, and if the PC version links up with the DC version like QIIIA does.. lemmie know. I suck at the game, but it\'d be nice to fight another player from here.
