How do I pay for it, ok well, first I used to have a highly modified civic.
Bought it stock, then modified it and got great money for it, then asked dad for the rest of the 5k (graduation gift) and Paid the rest of the money!
And yes, its all paid for.

although i got work to do on it..
gonna give it the body kit, make it fully black with the body kit being white.. and then change the locks on the doors.. these things are easy to break into.. holdern were d@@ks in the door locks.. it\'s a 83 model. Can\'t have everything. then i\'ll get a pioneer speaker system.. 2 10inch subs in the boot with a cd stacker and amp. right now it\'s a 3.3 litre 6 cylinder inline (83 kW) 3 speed Trimatic, SL/X sedan. I want to convert it too a manual with turbo, or V8 when i\'m off my P\'s. it\'s gas converted too.

I heard of a Ford dealer denying warranty work because someone put a K&N air filter in his car. :laughing: Dealers suck!
On my car the chip is an add on that I can remove pretty easily.

Plus the burden of proof is on the dealer. When I first got the neon and took it in for warranty work when the head gasket was leaking, they tried to deny it b/c I had an aftermarket suspension.(only mod at the time)
Another time, they tried to deny fixing one of the window guides that was scratching the glass b/c I had tints.
Course each was fixed for free as well as some courtesy items for my troubles. Just dont accept no as an answer by them, they have to prove said mod is related to said warranty claim/damage.

yeah, but im sure somewhere in the fine print it states you cannot modify major components of the vehicle without violating said warranty

yes, it does state that, it also states that the damage has to be consistant with that modification.
So if you put a different muffler on and have a ecu failure..etc..
Or if you modify your intake and the cat fails..etc.

it has a definate possibility of doing engine damage, among other exhaust problems

Uhm no..changing a muffler from stock to a more efficient aftermarket one will not damage the motor. Exhaust system like the cat yes..but nothing else on the exhaust side.
Cars are built stock b/c that is what stock is..factory. Bad ass vipers and ferrari\'s are also stock..doesnt change the performance.
Cars are also built stock b/c of the price in some aftermarket upgrades. Basically..anything built from a factory is stock..whether it is a 80 something 3cyl. geo metro or a 1200hp supercar....

well, one could do that. you could restrict intake and exhaust. add resonators and silencers on the exhaust end. That would choke off some power and quiet the vehicle down some.

Second what the hell you talking bout the blazer being "god awful", thats one of the most pimped out blazers you will ever see. Dont hate cuz you cant appreciate. Second its not blue anymore since 4 days ago, now is black with Red crystals. We bought the Same kinda rims (traded the old ones in) but they are now 24\'s and they keep spinning, you know after you stop. We changed the back and front lights also and replaced them with glass ones or whatever they called. and lowered it half an inch.
my Dad is 32 years old my mom is like 31 or something. he doesnt like the blazer, thats our "family car" he drives a Mexed out 95 chevy regular cab silverado. the blazer i guess its kinda mine now, thats why most of the things that we added are from my own personal taste, and you know ima drive it to school....
damn, am I gonna get some booty or what...

My GF has one on order, no details yet. They told her to put down 10k and then when the car comes, if she likes it she can pay the rest of the money, for some reason the dealers are hush hush about it.

Well I paid all 1600 dollars for my car from my job at a grocery store, however I still consider myself spoiled because my parents were nice enough to buy me new tires, a 400 dollar sound system, a re-built carburator when the old one broke, and my insurance.

ViVi, I like you, I really do, but....
just read his journal to figure out why he should wait a couple/few years on a car like the Evo. I DO think that everyone should drive a beater in high school, just because no matter how good of a driver you might be, you\'re hanging out in a parking lot FULL of the WORST drivers, besides maybe 80 year olds. Driving a $30k car at 16 is asking for sooo much trouble.
But I also would not have turned down such a car when I was that age. So just be careful with yourself and the car, eh?

To further expand on Sara\'s brilliant point. Let me give a few examples.
Sixteen year old goes to school one day. Get\'s in a fight with someone, with a less expensive car (who is already jealous of this "spoiled " sixteen year old). Sixteen year old goes to car when it is time to go home, to find a huge key mark down the side of it.
Sixteen year old realizes he has a sweet car that pulls excellent speed. See\'s a friend or enemy at stop light. Decides to race , because that is what males do, espically at younger ages with fast cars. Sixteen year old either (1) gets ticket or (2) wrecks car.
Sixteen year old prices insurance and realizes he cannot afford it with his minimal wage job - and you won\'t be able, unless your parents are paying for that also. Sixteen year old wrecks or gets caught without insurance.
Know what all this has in common? A damaged Evo and a sixteen year crying , due to the fact his new Evo is damaged.
There\'s a lot more possible situations that are so likely to happen with a car like that in highschool. Just be careful with the car, if you\'re dead set on havin\' it...Really careful and let us know how it turns out, espically if something happens to it.

Im still against this spoiled shit. Its all about the parenting. If a parent cannot do their job correctly..handing their kids everything will not matter one bit.
I had quite abit given to me as a child up untill I was 16 to were I forced to get a PT job..I was given a car..albeit a POS..but still, that made me appreciate it that much more to work for something more. It\'s all in the parenting.

Believe me, when I\'m well off, I will live in a very comfortable home, own nice cars and will treat my children to whatever I please. My choice. My hard earned money. I do what I want. I\'ll try not to spoil them. I\'ll make them get jobs when their teens. But if they need help with getting their car tuned, I will. There\'s nothing worse for a parent than to let their children drive a car with bad brakes coz they refused to help pay for the tune up or repairs.

Second what the hell you talking bout the blazer being "god awful", thats one of the most pimped out blazers you will ever see. Dont hate cuz you cant appreciate. Second its not blue anymore since 4 days ago, now is black with Red crystals. We bought the Same kinda rims (traded the old ones in) but they are now 24\'s and they keep spinning, you know after you stop. We changed the back and front lights also and replaced them with glass ones or whatever they called. and lowered it half an inch.
my Dad is 32 years old my mom is like 31 or something. he doesnt like the blazer, thats our "family car" he drives a Mexed out 95 chevy regular cab silverado. the blazer i guess its kinda mine now, thats why most of the things that we added are from my own personal taste, and you know ima drive it to school....

actually in milpitas I\'ve seen a shit load of SUV\'s racing, and the modded ones do quite well. In San Jose there\'s a mistu mini van pulling 11\'s, with only a 50 shot of nitrous. So saying that\'s it\'s stupid to assume someone will race a SUV, doesn\'t really apply.

What the driver thinks and what the cars "looks" like are seperate things. To answer your question though, no, I would think the driver wanted a race in that unless he revved on me. I would think the driver is interested in profiling.
gr81...that car is VERY capable of 13\'s..quite easily at that I might add. I have seen SEVERAL of those in daily driver trim running 11\'s. DOnt underestimate.
If you saw my neon, what would you thihnk? 17seconf car?..try low 14\'s..currently undergoing yet even more surgery..should be seeing high 13\'s consistantly soon.
What about my eclipse?..most look at them as overwieght pigs..the only thing that gives it away is the bigass FMIC..and ppl STILL try me every other day only to have their asses handed to them.

If anyone pays 15k for a set of rims not made of pure platinum or gold. They are complete idiots. 15k for rims is ridiculous.
I bought a set of Daytons for 3k and i thought I was stupid a year later.
My current chrome Spectre rims cost just $1200. And they aren\'t even on my truck anymore. They are sitting in my room.

Plasmas are actually down into the high 3\'s now. More manufacturers are producing them so the price is going to drop a hell of a lot. They are not concidered high end anymore and you are going to start seeing them all over the place.
Funny thing is when they first came out they had an 80% failure rate off the line. Meaning many of the most expensive sets have lost pixels, blurry screen, etc...
Now they are making them much better. If my trusty old 27" POS would ever give out I\'d certainly have to give them a looksy.

ok well actually i posted before we bought new rims, the rims in the picture were about they were 24\'s and were about 6K. we sold them for 7K, and bought the new 26\'s and yes theyre the ones thats Keep spinning when the blazer stops they were about 13,500 plus tax. And whoever said they had to be made out of "platinum", now thats stupid. ive seen platinum chains more xpensive than that. i also said the blazer isnt blue anymore its chameleon, the one that changes color you know?
I dont know who said that im evading somebodys questions or some crap, honestly i dont know what omen or whoever that was that asked me about 13\'s or somecrap. i know we havent modified the motor or anything, xcept chromed it. so no i dont think my dad\'s blazer has NOS. and about them racing SUV\'s, they race cuz they made the SUV\'s to race with. OK you know what im tired of this thread really, it went from every body posting their rides, to everybody dissing each others cars. But somehow i started all this...i always do...cool. well to be honest my dad doesnt really like it either, hes 34 years old. See my mom didnt want my dad to buy the blazer, cuz she said we didnt need it since we have a van and a truck. so my dad used the xcuse that hes buying it for me. bout a month some guy ran into the blazer while it was parked outside. he didnt have insurance or license. he was really scared, and he happened to own a body/paint/electronics shop. so instead of us you know "calling" the cops wich we werent but he tought we were. he told us to take it in anyday to fix it up. so we did, thats were it all began. my dad just wanted to paint it. i wante to take advantage of the situation and you know rip off the poor guy. so i went to my dear mom and told her bout how my dad didnt want to take advantage, and you know how moms are, she told my dad that it was my decision cuz well he told her he bought it for me. and my dad gave up and well i had it lowered painted and tricked out with electronics, CD player TV\'s, you know all that good stuff. we then sold the van, and well thats were we got the money to buy the rims. but thats actually all we payed for the rims, and the chromed motor parts. my dad mostly drives his truck, its bad ass truck to, i would post a picture, but i dont have a digital camera and youll probably woulnt like it. To be honest i love showin off the blazer round my hood, it just feels good bumpin a loud system while people stare at it (no not because its "ugly" trust me). my X-girlfriend loved riding around with it, so as long as girls are happy with it IM happy with it ;)

I think Im going to have to call bullshit. If 24\'s are 15k with rubber, then 26\'s which are still rather rare will certainly be more than those..let alone 13k.
Id like to see a pic close up of the 24\'s and the sidewall to prove it. If they are really 24\'s..Im sure you have a pic of them. Same goes for the 26\'s when you get them if not in possesion already. I dont know anybody with big wheels that dont have pix of them..hell, Ive never had bigger than 17" and have always taken pix of my 14\'s..15\'s..16\'s and 17\'s.

if i had a scanner or a digital camera hell yeah i would. and they arent that rare, theyre all over the place here, they were only 13k because we bought them used and one of the rims spin adapter thingy was broken, so we had to buy another one. and i said the other 24\'s were 6 thousand. the pic i posted was when i was in austin at my aunts house, my cousin took a picture to post in his website so he sent the pic about 6 weeks ago to me.
