Title: Blizzard port for PS2

once again from Planet PS2.



GamePro.com is reporting that PC game developer Blizzard Entertainment is set to make a big announcement at this years\' Tokyo Game Show on September 20th. While the exact nature of the announcement wasn\'t revealed, GamePro is claiming that Blizzard may be porting one or two of its bigger franchises to the PS2 console. The PC game market in Japan is much smaller than the US, so this makes a good deal of sense. My money would be on either a PS2 port of Warcraft or Diablo, given that Warcraft is their biggest franchise and Diablo has already been ported to the PSOne.

Guess we won\'t know for sure until September 20th.

God Diablo2 and warcaft3 what more coud anyone ask for.

Warcraft III could be wonderful on the PS2.  Ported Diablo II would be a waste.

World of Warcraft would be a great game for PS2, IMO.  The MMORPG market on the PS2, so far, is small.  It would make sense.

I think Warcraft III would completely suck on the PS2.  RTS games should remain on PCs.

You know they\'re saying the exact same thing over on teamxbox except they think it will be a game for the x.

Diablo on the PSOne blew... Diablo II (with or without expansion) on the PS2 would probably be little better.

It would be really smart announcing support for the Xbox on its strongest market.

Now.. Ironic or not, thats the question. ;)

I guess it will be Warcraft 3 for PS2 :D
