i just saw this today at a computer store and it was being sold at around $110, and i thought that it would be a nice replacement for my POS GF2 MX200.
so i would like to know, is it worth it and more importantly can it play SOF2 at 60fps.

Don\'t buy it.
The card has equal performance to a GF2ti.
Honestly, if you want a good card for cheap, get a Radeon 8500LE off newegg.com. I got one from there, OCed to 285/285 (from 250/275) and it does great with everything I throw at it.
Other than that, GF4Ti4200 would be a good, cheap buy. More expensive than a 8500LE, but still cheap for the performance. They should have dropped in price since the Radeon 9700 came out, tho I haven\'t checked lately.

nataku, the only other cards that i can find r the radeon 8500(no LE:() and the radeon 7000. now one is too expensive and i dont think the 7000 is worth it and moreover newegg doesnt do international shipping either:(.

How about a GF3? Wouldn\'t that be faster than the GF4 MX card? But it might be more expensive as well. :)
But actually I think even a GF3 Ti 200 would be a great improvement over your current card.

damn i have to make a decision wether to buy this card or wait for some thing else.
anyhoo i\'m gonna call up some more comp stores tommorow and see if they\'ve got the 8500LE hope fully they will:).

I got a GF4 MX440, I love it cuz I was using a Voodoo 3.

just get a GF4Ti420 or something like that... better off spending the little extra.

seems someone didnt read when i said that i couldnt find anything else;). i\'m gonna call a few stores later and maybe i might get lucky and some store might have a 8500LE or ti4200.:)

you\'re telling me there\'s no stores around or anything like that.... if u have anything like a business directory.. Try looking in that. :)
and what stores u do know of, ask them to order the card in.
-
thats the thing i went to most stores around my area and none of them have anthing other than the GF2MX200:crap:, ati radeon 7000:crap: and the GF4MX440.
and i\'m by no means gonna ask the stores to order one for me, the prices r a rip off as it is, but like i said im gonna keep searching until i find something coz i really dont want to buy anything that will become outdated the next day.
/me curses his measily budget.

unless the stores near u are total pricks, you should be able to order a gf4 ti4200. but even so, most gfx cards are outdated pretty quickly unless your willing to pay heaps for it.. simple fact, good cards don\'t come cheap.. Not what your talking anyway. Spend the little extra, you\'ll be better off for it. :)
