Forgive me,been in a bad mood lately.Been walking the streets trying to find a fight but no takers,so I\'ve been abusing people on the internet the last few days. :p
-
I\'ll fight you...where do you live? 0_o
When is splinter cell due out anyway?
-
11-12 is the xbox release
12-10 is the PC release
I\'m dissapointed in this game now. The first trailer footage shown a little after E3 impressed me greatly with the lighting and texture work, but the character animations have not improved since and they just recently released a trailer with said crippling animations. It\'s dissapointing to say the least and piss-poor animation is not going to be fixed by a better system on a PC either. If it sucks by design, even the best GFX card can\'t save it.
-
Are you talking about the most recently released SC movie? I believe it\'s over a month old...
Point is...maybe they\'ll fix it before release. We still have almost 2 months.
-
Was it? I dunno, the date was marked for September so I just figured it was pretty recent.

Well I found out from a PR today that Splinter Cell sequel already in the works.
Oh, any MechAssault freaks out there like me? hehe! Well Heres some update from PR SpaceGhost2K.
krn asked about MechAssault. Here\'s all I know:
Game is a combat game. No building of bases, etc. It is designed to be an action game and not so much a sim.
Game supports system link and online play. Split screen 1-2 player. Online and system link 2-12 players. (12 players head-to-head online, OMG.)
Everything you see is destructible: structures, buildings, bridges, towers, buses. Knock over a tree or set it on fire. Blow out the side of a building, and see the inside, rebar, hanging insulation, shattering glass.
Back an opponant against a building, and rather than shoot your opponant repeatedly, shoot at the building, weaken it, and topple it onto him.
Multiple tanks with different features, weapons, defenses. If a tank has a weapon mounted on an arm and you blow off his arm, he loses the weapon ability.
"Death From Above." Jump on an opponants head, crush the coc-kpit and take him out.
Mid-mission mech upgrades allow you to repair or enhance your mech during a bout.
*** If you play on LIVE, you will be able to download additional mechs. The very first time you play on LIVE, you will get an announcement "You have 2 MECHS waiting!" You will then be able to download two additional mechs to your Xbox that are not included in the game. Xbox intends to do this periodically for a lot of games - even non-LIVE games, to extend the life of regular games. Imagine downloading a whole new mountain for Amped. "You have 1 new MOUNTAIN waiting!"
Finally, besides all these big mechs, there\'s a little guy called an elemental (This might not be news to some of you, I have no idea if this is a new idea or something that\'s always been in the MechWarrior universe.) An elemental is a six foot tall guy in an armored suit/jetpack. He buzzes around the big mechs like a little bee. I can guarantee that elemental deathmatches will be very popular. His weapons are not as powerful, but he\'s very difficult to hit.

Dammit, the game isn\'t even out yet...

Hmm... isn\'t this a console forum. I won\'t be happier with PCs until the price of larger monitors goes way down. I just don\'t think enough can be said about lazing on my couch with a soda or beer. I like being able to hear true Dolby Digital blasting from my humble but still 250 watt sound system. Not having to mess with drivers or incompatabilities. Don\'t have to worry about getting food in my keyboard, and my controller is suprisingly food repelent. plus, hey its cheaper than having to upgrade my computer.
Shoot... I\'ll take slightly lesser graphics any day.

OMG! its PC stereotype man!
its not 1992 anymore, in case you didnt notice
you think PC\'s arent capable of dolby digital?
and

Different videos at different times. It was completely forgiveable in the older videos because it still had plenty of time before completion, but things... are different now...
-
Ryu, dig up the thread - on how many occasions did I point out that I was completely basing my impressions on that particular video? I also recall saying that I do hope it improves, but in that state, I rate it lower than MGS2? ...
Anyway, I don\'t hold grudges - I just had to bring my comment as it gave me a good laugh. ;)

I am glad you picked one point out of that statement... good job.
Besides, which games are coded for Dolby Digital... hmm? but I think my other points stand. Do you have to point at your pc everytime a new game comes out... jeez

i only point out the PC games that are raped for consoles, like the one above
very few DD games are marketed for PC cause the market isnt as large for PC 5.1 speaker sets
PC morrowind is the 1st to come to mind that supports it
dont forget about the hundreds and hundreds of games that take advantage of EAX or even 24bit advanced HD games like NWN, SOF2, JK2
tsk tsk
