I thought so too at first but Konami has stated that they wont be using any CG cutscenes in Silent Hill 3.
All cutscenes will be rendered by the ingame eninge, just like in MGS2! :D

Post by: Bobs_Hardware on September 22, 2002, 02:47:29 AM: SH2 was absolute cack compared to the original. It\'s like Code Veronica for the Resident Evil series. Lots of good ideas put together poorly, and wasted in a game that could have been great.

the original Silent Hill is the scariest game ever.

they\'r PS2 shots alright, in fact i think they arr on a par with MGS2 if not better.

plus i think Konami had their fingers burnt with SH2 for the X box

hance the reason whi i think we get MGS2 Substance

Along with a rather nice looking ZOE2

Movie downloaded from the internet are always at 28fps, so you couldnt tell what rate its at, only if there was slow down.

Looking at the pics, its kinda obvious that its realtime.

Look at his tie, the texture and shape indicate its certainly not rendered.

Post by: Paul2 on September 24, 2002, 12:26:55 PM: Wow, so now we have seen what the ps2 texture is capable of in third generation video games. I think the ingame cutscenes run at around 30fps while gameplay runs at around 60fps.
