Think of it this way. In the last 2 years or so, you have as many posts as mm has in the last 4 months.

To me, Dajo showed how insignificant post-count truly is to him. The counter serves only one personal delight: the pleasure of achievement. Assuming that I post well-written replies and actually work hard before clicking the \'Submit\' button, the joy of finally reaching 5,000 is much bigger than it would be if I had just spammed my way through.

I want to achieve the needed posts myself - and \'thus I would not accept a "donation" even if the admins offered one. But as I am not Dajo, I can not form an opinion towards his action; taken that I don\'t know what he thinks about the importance of an achievement.

What\'s the point, really? I can only question Dajo. I can not answer for him. Neither can the members. We should drop the subject - it isn\'t as controversial as some make it to be.

True his post count is completly meaningless, and makes it look like he devotes far more time to the forums than he really does. But it doesn\'t hurt me too badly, all it does is bump me down on the top posters list...so woopdie do, not that big of a deal. But it does make the top posters achivement seem meaningless. And to some of you, post numbers are meaningless, but to some it\'s a bit of a status symbol. So I guess if the other upper eshelon posters can stand it, I\'ll be quiet until the outcry from others is heard.

Anyways I didn\'t ask to have my post count bumped up. Infact, all I ask for was glow on my name. After mm tried to do it manully and it not work we both agreed just to raise the post count.

Now, you can ask mm, when changing the post count came up, I said that I liked my low post count and didn\'t really want to change it. And I really do, so it won\'t bother me one bit if mm wants to subtract 5000 post.
I didn\'t relize so many of you would make a huge fuss about it. I did expect a few.

It was definately good for some laughs though :) And I Thank You all for that ;)

So heres the deal, we don\'t have glow anymore and my high post count is meaningless to me, and tormenting to many of you. Infact I take pride in my lower post count;) And the top 20 list I could care less about.
So mm make all these guys happy and subtract my post count by 5000. It won\'t bother me at all. I could care less if I have 20 post or 20,000 post.

And OMEN I devote far more time to these forums then you relize buddy. I just don\'t feel them with spam;) I just read a lot of yours. :D

I do not know what caused you to stand up against Dajo\'s and mm\'s agreement, but at least he gave a reasonable explanation; a true ending to this worthless argument ;)

I have promised myself not to look at my post-count. I will take a peek once or twice a month, but that is the maximum amount. I want to shake the last shreds of importance the counter serves to me, personally. If it had been important to me all along, I would have not returned. The fact that one can not instantly view the counter, is perhaps the best addition this board has under-gone while I was absent.
