I\'m about 70% fluent, my mom speaks it to me at home and I finished 2 years of the class. But Adan is a sure bet.

heh, no my buddies and I use to say that all the time fast as hell as if we knew spanish.  We told chicks that\'s what it says on the back of a condom wrapper.  It\'s funny if you say it fast.  I think you have to be real drunk too.

That doesn\'t make sense. Your saying "Entrance" instead of enter.

and the word for penis isn\'t "peni" i believe its "pene".

Yeah, you can try Adan.. but you\'d probably be tutoring him English more than he is tutoring you Spanish..

I think it is Perra.  I think they have another word for it.  But that is the one that I know.

I think I would be able to understand him pretty good.  I can speak it in spurts.. I am in Spanish III right now and I am struggling.  My teacher is like really hard and doesn\'t help us much.  She gives us a quiz on new info like  every other day.  I got one A on a quiz and you can guess the other grades :(

Um, the joke was we have no clue anything about Spanish.  And as far as the spelling, well it\'s not like when we say it the words come out of our mouths spelled.  Usually they come out invisible.  Occasionally I spit though.

Starr, no problem, i\'ll help you as much as I can, because my spanish, obviously, is a little good :D

BTW translators suck, so forget them, and Bobs_Hardware, I think my english is far to be perfect but IMO it\'s good enough to understand any chat in english language. You couldn\'t do it in spanish, right? :p

PD: b*itch in spanish: zorra/puta

I asked someone who speaks a little Spanish. He said it means...

"Your mama is very good in my pants! Your dad is a whore and ugly trash. "

I just said it out of the top of my head.

Adan, mi español no es muy bueno. Yo no había estudiado el español para trese anos y yo pienso que digo esto mal.
Title: Can Anyone here speak fluent Spanish?
Post by: Seed_Of_Evil on September 27, 2002, 01:09:00 PM
Soul Reaver there\'s a big difference between "mean" and "try to mean" :p

PD: mm.. that\'s quite better. Be careful with the sound "c": it\'s trece and not "trese".

And the word ANOS need a Ñ instead of a N, cause you said "assholes" instead of YEARS. :D

Yea... but I don\'t know how to get that goddamn wiggly thing.

BTW, I meant 3 (Tres) not 13.

Sorry Vapor, but you\'re wrong. A TILDE is this:

Cantó
Voilà
Chateâu

This is called DIERESIS: Cigüeña

But the "wiggly" thing has no name \'cause the letter\'s shape is this way. It\'s like if you try to name the hole in the letter P.

Why the main words the people use when learning a new language are the insults?
Title: Can Anyone here speak fluent Spanish?

Because it\'s fun. :)
Title: Can Anyone here speak fluent Spanish?

May be, but me, as a student of multiple languages I think it\'s more funny try to guess why the word Fire and Fuego (fire in spanish) both begin with a F, although none descend from each other. At least for me, that\'s more interesting, but only for me. :p

I dunno but I know my first day of spanish I started asking people how to cuss in spanish and stuff :).  I just find the language very difficult and stuff :(

It\'s different in America Adan. We have everything backwards.

Cantó
Voilà
Chateâu

would be accents, while ñ would be a tilde.

Well, I think you\'re wrong my friend. The wiggly line above n can\'t be a tilde because it takes part of the letter itself. I said it before. I has not name. And accents are not graphical signals. This is a common mistake. If you look up "accent" in a dictionary, you will get:

[C,_U] a way of pronouncing the words of a language that shows which country or area a person comes from:
a northern / Dublin / Indian accent • a strong / broad Scottish accent (= one that is very noticeable) • She spoke English with a faint Dutch accent.

[C] the emphasis that you should give to part of a word when saying it:
In ‘today’ the accent is on the second syllable.

I think i\'m right Kurt, but nobody has got a total wisdom. At least the dictionary clarified it :p
