Title: PS2 is now adding a Video Recorder

I don\'t think this is an add-on, but a totally different system.  But I\'m not sure.  I\'m sure there are many other stories on this, but I just ran across this one.

XBox was touting this so I guess Sony is going to jump into the game as well and add a tuner and video recorder to the console.

Sorry if this has been mentioned, but I did search the main forum.  I avoid console debating like the plague.

thats kind of weird.  I wonder if theyre gonna change the name of the PS2?? ;)

LOL and i remember the UK X box PR *Dreck heads saying !

Over paid and hugely ineffectual PR Guy "oh the PS2 has too many features and in the long run is the Jack of all trades and master of none, but on the other hand the X box is desinged for pure gaming"

*Dreck head was a sware word used in Captive (the Sequel to the amiga classic Captive )

To record a movie:

Buy the special device for your Ps2
Buy the HardDisk
Buy a CD-R
(Any more?)

So, I think a more intelligent option is going to your DVD store and buy the film, it will be cheaper.

Adan, the thing about a PVR is that it records shit all the time.  Always.  Day and night.  If the machine is on it\'s recording.  You can always pause and go back.  Heck, I can go back 2 hours on my machine if I missed something.

I remember Sony talking about an add on for the PS2 that would let u do this years ago.
