Title: Final Fantasy and GAME CUBE???????
Post by: MPTheory on September 26, 2002, 08:36:18 PM: This caught me off guard. Squaresoft is making a game for the game cube... Which doesnt make much sense to me. And yes... its a Final Fantasy. Square and Nintendo are back on speeking terms again after their bust up that saw them jumpship and develop for sony.

They are Developing a Game for the GC (wooohoooo)
but are also developing the next Final Fantasy game for the PS2

other that that we all know JACK :(

personaly I am kind of foolishly hopping that they produce a slimmed down version of Final Fantasy 7 for the GBA

so it could even be that the next FF game will be PS2 , PC and NGC

I think their name is Game Designers. Anywho...Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles is due out in mid 2003. Woot!

SquareSoft is working with GBA right now, and it\'s a Nintendo\'s console... so...

Post by: Troglodyte on September 27, 2002, 02:50:03 PM: Just saw a video preview at Gamespot, it was all in Japanese, and most of it was character drawings, but then it showed one tiny piece of action, and it looked like it had the same combat as Kingdom Hearts. I could be very wrong, but it wouldn\'t suprise me if GC did FF a little different.

Here\'s a sum-up of the info I got on it.

+ it\'s set to debut in 2003

+ it will use the GBA - GC connectivity ability

+ it will be called: "Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicle"

That\'s pathetic. Really.. it\'s sad to say that a Final Fantasy is what\'s needed to sell GameCubes when they have a plethora of really great games comming out/released. SMS, Metroid:Prime, PSO, Eternal Darkness, Pikmin, Zelda, Super Monkey Ball 1 & 2, Sonic Adventure 2, Star Fox Adventures, Resident Evil Remake + 0 & 4.. ect.. ect.. ect..

This is a game completely unrelated the the series, and as such will play differently. It\'s just usign the name recognition. Many FF titles before have done so. Final Fantasty Adventure. Final Fantasy: Mystic Quest. etc. etc. :)

Post by: MPTheory on September 28, 2002, 10:03:15 AM: yeah, the teaser I seen didnt look anything like the Final fantasy games I\'ve played. Oh well. I still wont be buying a GC. The games I have played havent really impressed me. I find my PS2 just fine.

Didn\'t Greece repeal that stupid law since it was...well, stupid?

Anyways, back on topic. FF: Crystal Chronicle looks interesting, though I\'m not sure if it will itself help GC sales since, more action/RPG then the other FF. Still, should be interesting.

Though this game won\'t get me to buy a GC. The only game that really interest me is RE (with oldschool gameplay and all), Metriod, and...ummmmmmm...thats about it (I would\'ve also said Perfect Dark 0, but as you know...;)).
