I am wondering if it is possible to change the screan size so that the picture doesn\'t look stretched?

heh good point. I thought it really didn\'t matter what size tv you had. I guess the ps2 is for widescrean tv\'s only.

No, you can change it. Check your frickin\' manual.

In the options screen you can change the picture format to either 4:3 or 16:9 (widescreen).

Unicron! you can\'t change the volume while it is using the optical out. Go in and change the sound output and then you\'ll be able to use the volume

thanks.I ll check it out.

I recommend setting the outline sharpening to -2 in dvd menu. It default setting is 0 but I realize setting it to -2 make the picture less ringing and more natural. I compare -2, 0, and +2. I realize +2 make the picture too grainy and too much sharpness and making it too fake. At 0, it reduce but there is still over wash. At -2, the picture seem to be just right and a bit softer.
I don\'t know. Has anybody tried the outline sharpening before?
-
Outline sharpening at level +2 definitely jacks up the sharpness of the picture.I prefer -2 also.
