Title: Games Director for PS2 Game Needed
Post by: "The Recruiter!" on October 01, 2002, 03:00:59 AM
I am currently trying to locate a Games Director that would be interested in working on a permanent basis within the UK.

My client is listed as one of the UK\'s \'Top 10\' Games studios to date. Formed to specialise in computer games development, since 1996 the company has worked with major publishers, gaining an international reputation, and has grown from 8 to over 150 employees.
They have four studios located in Dunfermline, Dundee, Isle of Wight & Glasgow (All UK based).   Most recent release is \'State of Emergency\' for PS2.  Current projects include \'Tom and Jerry: War of the Whiskers\' for Playstation2 and a joint venture with Telewest for interactive television.

Now looking for the creme-da-la-creme Games Director.

The Role
The Director is the creative lead on a game project.
As in film production, the Director has overall creative content control, working with the Producer and the lead team members to produce the design and maintain the vision of the project.

The Game
A story/cinematic driven character based game with a strong art style for Playstation2, with a major publisher.

The Person
Candidates should be able to demonstrate their in-depth knowledge of all game production disciplines, good communication skills, excellent documentation skills, strong market understanding and the ability to lead a team. The candidate should have at least one published game as director or lead, have proven success in the games industry and possess a minimum of three years experience at a senior level. Salary is negotiable dependent on track record.

Reward
A yearly salary of £45,000 + Bonuses and benefits.

To apply, please contact "The Recruiter!" (Thomas Timperley)
