Just wondering if/when psx2c will start a Tribes forum.
What I\'m really wondering is who\'s played it and how good
is it. A friend of mine who\'s been playing SOCOM bought it
on Saturday, and returned it yesterday. (His reason: "When
you die, you immediately respawn." I think SOCOM 0wnz him. =)
)
I\'ve also read a couple favorable reviews, so I\'m a bit confused.
Figured I\'d solicit some more opinions...

ive played the game on pc
and its basically like most other fps multi games but not . . .
its different becasue. . .
1. the areas are very wide and open
2. you repswan after dieing instead of waiting and it based on time or kills or objectives
3. the weapons arent realistic
4. neither is the gameplay, its more of a quick paced game
so its not too shabby in other words

So you mean to tell me that no one is playing Tribes?
This game kicks ass IMO especially online!

I want to pick it up, but my connection is dial-up so I\'m thinking of holding off till I get BB. I\'m playing Twisted Metal Black Online and I love it, though they should have a way of keeping stats to rank the players or something.

I might buy this game if I ever get bored of SOCOM........... not yet.

Hey pats, I have dial-up and to my pleasant surprise I found the lag does not occur that much and when it does occur it\'s not so bad. Give it a try.

Thanks, are there any limits, like in TM: Black Online you can only play 1 on 1... If not I\'ll have to pick it up...

There are several modes in the game such as Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch and Capture the flag. You can play with up to 15 other players online in these modes. Also if you have dial-up as I do you can host a server but Sierra recommends that you do so with no more than three clients.
But even if you have dial-up you can still find servers join in and have a good fragging time.
Now, I\'m speaking from my experience. Yours may be different but I had the same fears you\'re talking about now until I said f*** it because I was interested in the game from the time it was mentioned with me being a huge FPS fan. I just said since Sony is giving 56k players the oppurtunity to play...why not! I did not buy the adapter to worry about lag issues. I love gaming too much! Besides the game offline has something to offer as well.
