Title: Help thinking of getting Linux!
Post by: NVIDIA256 on October 02, 2002, 02:03:34 PM
Ok Windows Xp is great and all but it has it\'s flaws like the Kaza lite problem, update faliure and some unknown issues. Still overall I like XP, but I aquired Partition magic 7.2 and have decided to partition my 40gb hard drive to have both XP and Linux running.

My question is this, where can i aquire the best resources on linux to learn how to use it, and other stuff, you know like a community, support and help etc...

Also I need something to run my Kaza lite(spyware  free etc..) as windows xp refuses to run the program(it;s a glitch that 20% of kaza users experince)

If you need docs the one-stop website is:

http://www.tldp.org

Also you\'ll probably find mailing-lists helpful for specific apps/desktops.  The best p2p program I\'ve tried for Linux is still Limewire although there have been some new ones I haven\'t tested out yet.

There\'s tons of websites for LInux help like http://www.linux.com and the Anandtech forums are a great place as well.  They have some useful FAQs.  http://www.anandtech.com
