These past couple of days i\'ve noticed that my internet speed just suddenly decreases this usually only gets fixed by restarting the whole network, i called my isp and they told me that nothing is wrong with my connection.
could this be caused by counter strike (<-- what my bro claims) i dont think it is coz i\'ve been playin CS for over 2 months now and this is the only time it has started to happen, or could it be somethin else any of u guys got an insight on this matter???.

counter strike only affects bandwidth while yer using it
if yer on broadband capped at 16k/sec upload, and yer playing CS on one computer in yer house, yer robbing every other computer in the house\'s bandwidth
-
well the drop in speed usually comes into affect sometime after i\'ve closed CS.
i just thought of something, these past couple of days i\'ve been using this program called visualroute (its an online java based program) to test my pings and such, maybe it was doin something to my firewall and caused it to react in this way.

does vidual route send out constant pings?
-
i dont think so. i just enter a URL or ip and it shows me the geographical path that the signal takes (u\'d be amazed at some of the paths that my signal takes) then it shows the ping and some other info.
if u want to check it out for yer self u can go here http://www.visualroute.com then click on the live demo button.
