Some of you care.
Next year starting in April ESPN will begin broadcasting in HD. They will be doing many live events including their Sunday night football.
This along with MNF going back to HD again next year makes me a happy old fart.

The reply:view ratio of 15:1 so far makes me disagree.

Woot woot, I should have Comcast HD this sunday! But they don\'t have ESPN in HD only about 5 channels... Might as well get it while I am still here since My TV can handle it... We\'ll see, but I should be Watching the Sopranos this sunday in High def, can\'t wait!!!!

Sopranos is sweet in hi def. You don\'t realize how much you lose when they crop shows down to 4:3. Every show is like that. I remember watching the show 24 on 2 different sets, onw wide and one regular and it was funny how they crop people out and crap. Just like movies and P&S.
ESPN won\'t be availble till Spring, but damn this is what will drive people to converting over. Watching college football in hi def every week it\'s unbelievable how shitty the NFL looks on Sunday.
Hey Kirath, Here is a good list of HD Programming (http://www.mindspring.com/~rj2/attachment.pdf)
This does not include of course HDNet, Discovery HD, HBO-HD, nor Showtime-HD

My cable company is going to start broadcasting digital soon but they want $50 and that\'s w/o premium channels.
