Title: I have Jury Duty!!!!!

I have to be at the courthouse at 7:45am on Monday, Oct. 7.

Does anyone know how long this usualy takes???  Will I be there all day?

Has anyone here ever had to be on a jury?

I had jury duty this summer and I really didn\'t want to serve. It was a couple of days before my vacation and I really didn\'t want to be sitting in a court room. That being said, I thought it was a great experience. I think you will feel the same.

Most cases will only last 3-5 days. If you want a chance of maybe not being picked walk in a little late. This way when they give you your panel number it will higher and you might walk away before the day is over. That\'s what happened to me.

I always get there early and I always get a low number. That day all the late people were let go before lunch.

You have to report to the courthouse w/everyone else on duty.  Then you draw straws or names or something for the week.  If your name is drawn then you have to be in the jury when there is a trial.  I think you only do this for a month.

I got called for jury service a few years ago but all I did was sit around all day, I never got a case in the 2 weeks I was there.

Or it could be the other way around.. depending on how long you helped send him to jail for Heat. :D

Jus go in there and act like a total biased/racist prick who loves to see people "get what\'s comming to them". Chances are you won\'t be picked. :)

when you go in, just wear a shirt that says "Kill Whitey", they\'ll dismiss you.

I was dismissed.  I guess they picked everyone they needed.
