-
I think it\'s gonna be As over Cards, like I said before the season began.
-
*Titan sings the Alleluia song* I hate the Yankees with a passion. They buy their players and always win.
-
I think the Greenbay Packers are gonna end up kickin the Yankee\'s asses.

No.. Braves all the way boys!

Die.
I hate the Braves like you wouldn\'t believe.
-
Ah you suck! Well I live here and I have loved them for years man

Because you\'re a dirty Mets fan. You\'re also a Yankees fan, which makes me hate you even more.
Braves bullpen was dominant today, but the hero? Keith Lockhart, that 3 run homer changed the entire series.
Oh, and the man who changed the entire perplexion of the Angels Yanks series - The Husker, Darin Erstad. If not for his clutch Game Winning RBI Double last night, who knows :)
See Yuz.
-
Mets... Need I say more. Yeah man Lockheart.. Bobby put him in even when people were lke what.. Mark de.??? He said I have a feeling about Keith. Mark is a very good player though. I think he is getting to be a great hitter.
-
I think they suck - that is all
-
His name is Lockhart...and its Mark DeRosa. I haven\'t been this happy over a loss since Game 7 of the World Series last year :)
-
I do not like the Dbacks either though lol
-
well the cardinals are up 4-2 in the 5th
:hat:ScottyJ:hat:
-
Yeah looks like Cards will win as well.
-
Cards will absolutely crush the Braves, just like they did 2 years ago.
-
World series will be As over Cards

Oh no the cards won\'!... Wel\'ll see if the braves make it and the cards make it. Who ownz who!

Seriously, the Cards have completely dominated the D-Backs. They rocked Johnson, and have easily the most powerful lineup of any playoff team. The Braves are trash. It couldn\'t go any other way.
-
Ok buddy we will see. The Braves seriously aren\'t trash. I think they have the best lienupe of just about any team ever. If everyone hits to their potential that is. Sheff, Jones, Jones and Javy.. best hitting catcher in post season.. do not forget Vinny which if he is anythign near his potential look out
-
2 down 2 to go.........both the world champs and the runner-up both got eliminated in the Division series.

That is nothing compared to Pujols, Rolen, Edmonds, etc. Let\'s not forget Tino, who has the experience and is great in the playoffs, or players like Drew, Vina, and others who sure do get it done. The Cards have a much better lineup than the Braves. The Cards have the best lineup in the NL. There is no question about it. The commentators during the Cards game were saying it all night. If they can put up 12 on Johnson, they can do the same on any Braves pitcher. And yes, the Braves are trash. They are the most cocky, arrogant team out there, with the worst fans. The fans barely sell out playoff games. They expect the playoffs. That\'s sick. Besides, the chop is a disgrace.
-
Go TWINS!
-
Ok we\'ll see. Sheff won a world series.. so has chipper and everyone else on the team.. and no the cards lineup is not better than the Braves. I am sorry I am not saying that just cause they are my favorite. I did nto say it last here but with Franco DeRosa Chipper the Braves are just better. The Braves are not arrogant at all. Bobby Cox cheers his team on no matter what. He has a nice word to every player no matter what happens. He cheers them on at every at bad. You can hear him. The Braves are the best team this year IMO.
-
The Cards do have a better lineup. Almost all the experts out there say so. They were 2nd in total offense in the NL this year, behind only Arizona, a team that was crippled by the losses of people like Gonzo and Counsell. Where were the Braves? 10th. Out of 16 teams. They weren\'t even in the top 50%. Better lineup? Give me a break.
The Braves team, and their fans are cocky. I don\'t care what you say. They aren\'t the only team like that, but they sure are cocky. There\'s no way around it.
Besides, the Braves never live up to their potential in the playoffs.
And the chop is still a disgrace.
-
Remind me what the season series record was with these two?
-
I\'m sorry. I guess I forgot, it is a fair comparison when one of these teams went on an extended slump after the death of one of their most beloved players, and happened to play the Braves during that time. The fact is, the Cards pulled it together, finished the season stronger than the Braves, and have a lot more to play for. They are a different team from the one that began the season. THey have been hotter lately, they finished the season on a stronger note, and they swept their first round series. I just can\'t wait until they finish with the Braves, if they even play them, so I can say "I told you so".
-
heh let me remind you.. Braves won 5 of 6
-
Noooooooooooo........mah Dbacks!
I boycott baseball.

Yes, I know that. And like I said, 3 of those games came in the aftermath of the Darryl Kile incident, while the other 3 were early in the season. It means nothing at all. This is the playoffs, not the regular season.
Besides, you didn\'t win your regular season series against the Giants either.
-
yeah!!!!
The yankees WON\'T be going to the world series this year! :D
also, it will be an entirely new World Series this year, that rocks, I just hope Atlanta loses!
-
let me just say, now that the yankees are eliminated, I am a very happy person.
It makes the world a better place.
-
Ok I\'ll be sure to come w00t! in ya face when the Braves win... Actually though when it comes to Baseball the better team can get beat by the worst team.. i mean it just happens. So we\'ll see what happens.
-
I wake up and see my thread got merged.............atleast put my results at the top as a sticky or something so they know how the World series is going.....

*wants to see Tony break out and cry about Darryl Kile*
No way in hell the Braves are "cocky". If you\'re calling the Braves fans cocky, and you\'re a Mets/Yankees fan...you have no room to talk. So shut up.
You\'re damn right the Braves were 10th of 16 teams in runs produced. It\'s not like the Braves didn\'t have their slump, either. Want to know how many Home Runs Chipper had by the All Star Break? 8. 8 home runs. Want to know how many days Vinny Castilla went without a home run? Oh, about 120.
Oh, but the problem, my friend, is the superior pitching. The Braves pitching is in fact better than the D-backs, because 2 players don\'t make an entire pitching staff, as we witnessed in the World Series last year (Byng Hung Kim is my hero). One of the best bullpens of all time -- Darell Hammond had an ERA of 0.95, only the 3rd pitcher ever to have an era under 1 after pitching over 70 innings. Yes, the Cardinals are potent, sure, but hey, it\'s not like they\'ve proved it in teh postseason, either. Scott Rolen still has a bad hand, so they settle in Miguel Cairo. Though, I personally think that Miguel Cairo is a better clutch hitter than Rolen, so that might negate that.
Either way, The Braves had a better regular season, they have home field advantage, and they owned the Cardinals during the season, tragedy or not. If you\'re going to blame half the losses the Cardinals had to "tragedy", then why don\'t they win 120 games every year?
Braves in 6. See Yuz.

whoever made it as a sticky thnx!

All I can say is thank god the Yankees are out.

First of all, yeah, I know that the NY teams are cocky, especially the Yankees. I never said they weren\'t, I just said that the Braves are.
Another fact, if you want to talk about the superior pitching staff, is that the Cards never showed the Braves their best staff during those games. During the games against the Braves, only half the time did the Braves face a Cards pitcher who will start in the post season. In addition to losing a member of the pitching staff, they also had injury after injury this season.
As for the Braves having a better season, we both know that the tragedy did play a role in that. We also both know that the Braves, whether I like it or not, are in an easier division. The Astros are a better team than anyone in the NL East, and the Reds sure did play better than anyone in the NL East for most of the season. Besides, it isn\'t exactly like the Cards pitching is trash. It was 4th in the NL, and it improved part of the way through the season with additions like Finley and (James, you\'ll like this) Fassero. Hey, Fassero is 2-0 in the post season so far this year :)
-
Since when was his death called a tragedy? I mourn just like the next guy but people die every day.
-
If the Braves hit like they can the best pitching staff won\'t stop them. Besides when you look at the Braves bullpen even the guys who never pitched were pitching great. Spooneybargar is one guy like that. Gryboski, Remlinger, Hammond could all easily be closers. Seriously they are that good. THen you throw in Smoltz.. this is like one big closers bullpen.
-
Sure deaths happen everyday, but when there is one that close to you, if affects you. This was a death that was close to everyone on that team. That\'s why it took such a toll.
And stop talking like the Braves hitting is something great. They were BELOW AVERAGE in the regular season. The Cards hitting is far better than the Braves. If the Braves can hit any pitcher, then the Cards sure as hell can. They showed that by shelling Johnson. If they can do that to him, they can do the same to Maddux, Glavine, and Millwood.
-
World Series is gonna be great...
Cards vs Angels
Game 1: 19-18
Game 2: 18-19
Game 3: 12-13
Game 4: 13-12
Game 5: 15-16
Game 6: 16-15
Game 7: 29-28 *10 innings*
:) If that\'s the world series, I could care less who wins, those are my two picks for the world series as of a week before the playoffs started.
-
The Braves pitching as a whole is a lot better than Diamond Backs. They have a better philosophy and coaching staff. The Braves players were in slumps so what. THey can freakin hit dude. Javy was a 300 hitter his first year. He is now out of his slump and back in that groove and he is the 6th hitter. ANyways you watch the game today with the Giants. Hopefully you will see them play right. Even though the GIants pitcher today is pretty good.
-
The fact is that the Cards lineup is better. Do you not see that?
As for the pitching, Schilling and Johnson are better than any Braves starter. They will be 1-2 int he Cy Young vote again. If the Cards can beat them, they can beat the Braves pitchers.
And trust me, I know the Braves lineup. They aren\'t as good. And by the way, if a player is hot for a week, then aren\'t breaking out of a season long slump. The season long numbers are the norm for him, and he is just hot for a small period of time. Nothing more. It will pass.
And by the way, was it not Maddux, Glavine, and Millwood that were hammered by a similar Cards lineup two years ago? You have yet to tell me why that won\'t happen again.
-
THere is no since in fighting who is better right now. First lets make sure the Braves make it to the 2nd round. Then let\'s let them play some games. Then we can discuss it more.
-
Sounds like a plan :)
-
who\'s pitching for the braves tonight? i want them to kill the giants

This, from the same person that said that the season meant nothing, but it\'s the playoffs that count. Hypocricy AGAIN!
Yes, it is the same 3. First round. Hurrah. Braves were weak at the time -- Millwood had a dead arm. But oh, it\'s back now. Hell, I think, as of right now, Millwood is the best pitcher they got.
As for tonight, Glavine is the pitcher against the pitcher with the 2nd most losses in the NL. Hmm.
Good for Randy, good for Curt. Curt was shaky down the stretch, and gave up an entire 2 runs to the Cardinals, and lost. That\'s not his fault, it\'s the offense\'s fault for not giving him any support. Morris is hittable, despite the D-backs futility against him in Game 2. Hell, the Cubs shelled him in a Sunday Night game this year...only for Antonio Alfonseca to give up 6 runs in the bottom of the 9th and the Cubs to lose 10-9.
Again, Braves in 6.
See Yuz.
-
You mean....Braves down 6. :-P
7-1 Giants bottom 5
-
Like I said...trash :)
-
Atlanta better lose. GO SF, my new favorite team! :p
-
Yes, go Giants. I may hate them, but I hate the Braves that much more :)
-
I knew they would probably lose today. Glavine is either on.. or off. When he is on he may give up a hit and that is it. When he is off well you seen. What you said about the Braves fan earlier is kidna crappy. Just cause you hear that they don\'t get super high attendances on tv you say the braves have bad fans. I watched every game on tv this year. As do a lot of people I know. I have only been to one game. So does that mean I am a bad fan now? I think not. Just cause you do not go to the actual place doesn\'t really mean your a bad fan. Atlanta is a hard place to get through anyway.
-
No, it doesn\'t mean you\'re a bad fan. But when the Braves fans collectively struggle to sell out playoff games, that does mean there is something wrong. With most teams, those tickets are almost impossible to get. With the Braves, you can easily get them the day of the game.
-
Well think about it man.. they have been to the games before. They are fans it just means they may not have the money to keep going every year. They are quite exspensive. You can\'t completely blame them. With things like the Twins people will go and sell out the place. Why? Cause it is something new and lots of people have never been to a playoff game there. With the Braves they have had it for 11 straight years. Most people have already had the experience so they don\'t really have to have it again. I think they make too big of deal about it.
-
All ya\'ll are a bunch of haters, it\'s not the fans fault that the Yankees win almost every damn year!!! So don\'t bash us. Besides how many of ya\'ll can say your team has won 25+ championships??? So all ya\'ll can f*ck off, and leave me and shockwaves alone, cuz all ya\'ll are hatin!!!
-
Obviously no one really said anything bad about the Yankees besides they wre glad they lost. Yankees do win a lot cause they pay the most. It is a simple fact. They get more good players. I am just saying I am glad they lost cause I do not like the team. You can like them all you want that is fine. I would have liked them to of went a little further maybe. I like seeing them lose though. Anyways I do hope the Braves lose cause I know how it is to have you team lose if you really care about that team. I am nervous about todays game. I watch every Braves game and want to be able to watch them play the cards. So I am really hoping they win today.. If they do not.. I will actually be sad and mad. Well just have to see..
-
I think shock would agree with me that fans like you make fans of teams look bad. You don\'t need to act like that...
-
I wouldn\'t at all.
And no other team in baseball has any problem selling out playoff games, there is no reason the Braves should. None at all.
Trash.

Shut up. Don\'t go Freestyle on me *rolls eyes*
They lost this year. Thus, you shut up. You\'re a yankees fan and you finally lost, so yes, we\'re going to bitch about your team.
Braves in 6...I wonder why I keep saying that.
See Yuz.
-
Man I hope Braves win tonight..
-
No I\'m just fed up, the yanks do spend alot, but they don\'t waste there money like some other teams, rangers, mets and red sox. Yankees have great front office management, I for one am glad the yankees lost, so when they come and win next year we can all say I told ya so.
-
Speaking of I told ya so...told ya the Braves were trash :)
And I was so looking forward to them beating the Cards so badly
-
Why do you say they are trash. THat is just retarded. One or two hits when they needed them they would have easily won that game. Dusty Baker said so himself.. Anyways it doesn\'t prove who is better. You really think the Angels and Twins are better than the Yankees and A\'s... no and I don\'t think any national leaugue team is better than the Braves.

At least they can make the playoffs, unlike some other NL East trash that I know.
NL...not going to watch that series. AL - Go...Angels, Twins, I don\'t know. Whoever wins, I\'m rooting for in the WS. My 2 most hated teams in the NL are in the NLCS...AWESOME.
If I was forced to chose between the two, I\'d committ suicide. Or just root for the Cardinals and hope that all of their starters get injured.

I\'m gonna say Cards Twins world series!!!

Simple. The good teams come through in the clutch, and get the hits they need when they need them. Trash doesn\'t :)
And yes, it does prove who is better. Right now, the Giants are the better team, just like right now the Angels and Twins are the better teams. I honestly believe that. If you choke and don\'t perform up to your potential when it matters, that is part of who you are.
-
Shock your just making idiotic comments now. It has nothign to do with choking. It has to do if you simply hit the ball in the right spot. It can happen a zillion different ways.
-
It has everything to do with choking. Choking is not delivering when it matters. If you get runners on, and can\'t hit them in, that\'s choking under pressure. I don\'t understand how you could reason otherwise.
-
If you don\'t live in New York and still root for the Yankees your sad, plain and simple. And the arrogence of the Yankees allows me to hate any fan of theirs. Oh, and AL baseball in general is a joke.
-
I do live in New York, and I\'m much more of a Mets fan (and I like the NL better in general). Does that make me ok? :)
-
I guess your in the clearing.
-
I was also born in Ohio. Does that get me bonus points?
-
Yes, definite bonus points. As for the Texan, no dice.
-
I\'m from Nebraska and I like the Cubs, and hate the Cardinals. Automatic points for James :)

-
TOo bad Cubs suck though. I like any team that sucks lol Don\'t know why
-
The Braves, for example :)
-
Hey I was born in Germany, does that mean I have to like German soccer team, or root for them when they play america, NO!!!! My family is from New Jersey, and I\'ve always been a New York team fan, except the Jets really!!!

Must be a flawed theorem -- he\'s not a Mets fan. Nyah.

I think some areas of the country have more rude people.
-
I think the South overall is really rude. I don\'t get the whole sourthern hospitality thing, its not true.
-
How about the REAL midwest?
I can\'t understand how states like Indiana and Illinois are called the midwest. If anything, they\'re called the mideast, but god forbid being compared to the area of Israel and whatnot :)
See Yuz.
-
You silly goose you. Hell, Ohio is called the midwest too.
-
That\'s because historically, it was once looked at as the West...

People from the south are generally more nice. My math teacher came from the bronx to here and he admitted they were failrly rude up north.

Oh, yeah the pace of living is different up there, people don\'t care how you are feeling one day compared to another, down here or at least in most other parts of Texas(I live in a Military community) U get a friendly hi or a gesture of some sort, hell you can make conversation with someone you don\'t even know, its not like that up the east coast.
-
I don\'t agree at all but oh well.

How long did you live here, and did you forget everything since then? That isn\'t at all true. The people where I live are much more friendly than those I\'ve seen in Texas. Hell, it isn\'t like that anywhere in New York that I\'ve seen, not even in the city. Get upstate though, especially, and you are dead wrong. As for Texas, I\'ve sent considerable amounts of time in Austin and San Antonio over my life, and I find it to be just the opposite.
Then again, you are from Jersey, correct? That might explain it

Screw you guys, the Giants 0wn! Gotta love my Bay Area teams.
I\'m also throwing my support behind the Angels, due to them being a Cali team.

I hate the Giants. I wouldn\'t really mind seeing any of the other teams win though.
The Giants should still be a NY team :(
-
Anybody who likes the Giants needs to be hit in the head with a punji stick :)
(No Theomen, that wasn\'t directed at you, but damn I hate the Giants :P)
Cardinals get down 2-0 in the series. I don\'t mind :)

A Yankees fan saying they hate a team, great.

What\'s that supposed to mean?

The Cubs effectively put themselves out of the a world series hunt over 89 years ago!!!

Absolutely incorrect.
...it was 94 years ago :(

-
I pretty much just don\'t wanna see the Giants win. It\'d be cool to see the Cards win now, what with the Kile and Buck stuff they had to go through and all.
-
GIANTS WIN, GIANTS WIN!!!!!!!
One more win, for an all Cali World Series!
Next up will be an all Cali Super Bowl, 49ers vs Raiders

Not this year.
-
Actually, I see no reason why that couldn\'t happen this year. With the Rams down, there is no clear favorite in the NFC. I see no reason why the up and coming Niners couldn\'t make it. As for the Raiders, they have all the talent to go to the super bowl. I mean, come on, we both know that if the snow came a day later last year, we probably have the Raiders in the Super Bowl.
-
Atleast the Rams did beat the Raiders though.

This is the wrong thread, but just because the Rams are down, doesn\'t necesarilly mean that the NFC is there for the 49ers taking. They\'ve been weak, as well, not really great in their wins this year (except against the Rams, but hell, that was no contest).
I\'d say, by the looks of it, the Packers could quite possibly win the NFC.
See Yuz.

Well, if nice guys finish last I say Barry Bonds has a good chance of winning the world series.

It is the wrong thread, but just for clarification, I\'m not saying that the Niners should be the favorites, or that they will win. I\'m just saying that without the Rams, there is no clear favorite, and it\'s really open for any team to win. There are several teams I could see winning the NFC this year.
-
Go Angels.
See Yuz.
-
Go Cards :)
-
Good bye cardinals. Giants are now the NL champions. A full cali World Series. Of course I\'ll be cheering for my home team. :)
-
Understandble, but most will be rooting for the Angels considering they\'ve sucked for so long.
-
WOOOOOOO!!!! All Cali World Series biznatches!
No matter who wins I\'ll be happy, but I\'m pulling for my Giants a bit more than I am for the Angels.
-
Yeah. Last time the Angels have been in the world series has been...well, never. They came close in 86 (litterally a strike away) before blowing the game, and eventually the pennent. SF Giants, 1989. Bay Bridge series. And Barry Bonds, well, its true he isn\'t the nicest guy in baseball (obviously, quite the opposite). Still, I\'m from the Bay Area, I will be rooting for the Giants.
I wouldn\'t mind if the Angels won though. Both are great teams.
-
I don\'t get the whole dislike of Barry Bonds thing. He actually seems like a nice guy.
-
If you ask me, Barry isn\'t that bad of a guy, he\'s just not a media whore like most athletes. He likes his privacy, and when it\'s intruded upon, he doesn\'t handel it very well.
-
Yeah. Maybe he isn\'t a bad guy, just not a media guy. Still, because he isn\'t a media guy, this is probably THE reason why he isn\'t all that well liked. I personally don\'t have a negative opinion of him.
-
Ginats VS Angels in the World series! an all California World series! the only bad thing is the time zone differnce (I live in the eastern time zone...and if they are night games......... it wont start till problay 10 or 11 here.

It certainly takes one year for a man to change.
This, the same guy that has to have 3 full sized lockers so he can fit his personal 57 inch TV in there, for his PERSONAL viewing. There\'s maybe one or two exceptions -- his son, his daughter. I don\'t even think his wife gets to.
He can talk all about how "winning" is the only thing that\'s important to him, but to me, that\'s a crock of shit. He seemed pretty damn happy when he hit 70 and 73, and celebrated JUST a bit more.
Oh, and take a look at when Bonds hit 500. Who congratulates him from the dugout?
See Yuz.
-
Boo hoo, he just likes certain things. You act like he\'s Randy Moss.

He is Randy Moss, just a Randy Moss who knows how to be an asshole legally, and a Randy Moss actually on a good team. When the Vikings were winning, no one said a thing about Randy. This is the same situation.
Once while in Pittsburgh, he refused to sign a ball to be auctioned off for Children\'s Hospital. They had to buy one from QVC and get all the other players to sign it. There\'s a class act for ya.
With the Angels, everything you read is about the team, and how they pulled together, and how hard they played. With the Giants, it\'s all about Barry. I hope they (or should I say he) get swept.
-
People have always said things about Randy. He has an attitude to everyone. And I don\'t believe these stories you speak of because the media hates Bonds so I don\'t really trust any of it. I watched an interview from HBO with Bonds and thats were I\'ll pass all my judgements from.
And its not all about Barry because Barry wants it that way, you act like he writes the articles.
-
Has he done anything to take the spotlight off himself and put it on his team?
And yes, that story is true. Do I need to find proof for you? It actually happened, and is a perfect example of why Bonds is such an ass. I\'d take a Randy Moss over a Bond on my team anyday. At least you can see signs that Randy is trying to mature. Bonds has gotten worse if anything.
-
So a guy does well and relishes in it and suddenly he\'s a total ass and the entire team should suffer for it? I don\'t know about you, but when I saw the winning run score, the first guy out of the dugout was him and he was dancing with the rest of his team. People treat the Cardinals as if they are some type of special case and "deserve" to win simply because they\'ve had it rough. Well who hasn\'t? I have my fair share of problems and they never get easier all because I\'ve had it a little rough.
It\'s a sport and the people who are good get all the publicity just the same as any other celebrity both good and bad. You can hate the guy all he wants, but the team has pulled together to get the job done so they should be praised for just that.
-
I consider Bonds more mature than a lot of players in baseball so I guess we\'ll never agree.
And how is he supposed to take the spotlight off of himself? Like I said he doesn\'t write the articles, he doesn\'t choose what they write.
-
But he can say something about it. He can say that his team mates did as much as he did, which is true in many cases. When you do well and have an amazing personal achievement, it\'s one thing. When you are part of a team that achieves something together, as a team, and you get credit like it was a personal achievement though, that\'s different. I would say something.
And regardless of how the media is treating him, he has done many things in the past that he had full control over that have made him come across as a total ass. The baseball signing incident I posted is an example.
-
He doesn\'t claim to be the team so I still don\'t agree there.
Oh, and when thinking of baseball players that are actually assholes, Roger Clemens comes to mind. While Barry may decline interviews, he doesn\'t do things like "The Rocket". Sorry I\'m just expressing my hate for that bastard who pitches at guys just because he doesn\'t like them.
-
I think Barry Bonds is infinitely worse than Roger Clemens.
And keep in mind, I\'m saying this as a Mets fan, not a Yankees fan.
-
Thats funny, I was just watching ESPN and they were talking about the World Series. They showed an interview with Bonds and he went on to say that they made it their as a team and they played together perfectly to make it this far.
-
Well that\'s good. He\'s still an ass. Kenny Lofton made that team. Angel in 4, 3.5 if possible.
-
Haha, now I\'ve heard everything. No matter how much you dislike him, Bonds is who built that team. He doesn\'t need to say it, its quite obvious. Don\'t worry I still want Angels in 4.
-
Then what are we arguing about?
-
Well, from my point of view, it is whether or not Bonds is an ass, or a complete ass. Not whether or not the Giants are a great team or not.
BTW, while I will be rooting for the Giants (if only because I\'m a Bay Area resident, and will root for almost any local team), I have no problem with the Angels. In fact, if the Angels win (and given how good they are, wouldn\'t be surprise if they did win) I\'ll be happy for them nonetheless.
-
I can see no team that would deserve this win more than the Angels. They don\'t have nearly the talent on that team that the Giants, or the Yanks, or the Twins had. But damn if they don\'t know how to use what they got, and find a way to beat people. Hardest working club in the majors right there.
-
Why do people hate succesful persons!?!?
just because bonds is the most talked bout player, doesnt mean he thinks hes the "big man".
ohh and
GO GIANTS!!!!!!!GO GIANTS!!!!!!!!!!
-
First game is tonight. Hoping angels win.
-
For once, we agree :)
Go Angels
-
GIANTS!!!GIANTS!!!!GIANTS!!!!!!
-
Yes they can lose lose lose :)

Wow nobody has replied or said anything in this thread.......is it because its early......or because you peeps were upset about the outcome of yesterdays game?!?!?!

11-10 Angels. Eat me.
Go George Brett for getting a foul ball. Talk about a one in 50 thousand shot :-P
See Yuz.
-
On a seperate note, who else thinks the 10 greatest moments thing was bullshit? The shot heard round the world didn\'t even make it? Give me a break.
-
On yet another note, David Bell and Brad Fullmer can go eat shit and kill themselves.
4-3 Giants, Series tied at 2. Game 5 Tonight. Great.
See Yuz.
-
After thinking about it I want the Giants to win, not the Angels. I forgot how much I dispise the American League.
-
Wow, what a win tonight. Go Angels! They came back from 5-0 to win Game 6.. 6-5. On to Game 7!
-
Giants take it tonight, guaranteed, Barry\'s gonna come through tonight, with another bomb, while the rest of the squad steps up to.
-
it\'s official, my Giants are funked!
top of the ninth, down 4-1....
-
Still hope (they haven\'t lost yet) but, I\'m bracing myself for freaking Angels victory. Currently in Southern California isn\'t helping much either.
Again, while I won\'t be too dissappointed if the Angels win (since they are not the Yankees. :D), I will still be dissappointed since, gotta support my home town (well, area) team which, are currently...and as it pains me to say this, will probably lose.
-
tieing run at bat...but it\'s Shinjo...ughh....
-
Well, its now official, Angels win the series. (but not too mad. But still mad).
-
Angels win!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 4-1 and win the series 4-3! good going American League!
:hat:ScottyJ:hat:
-
I\'m sad that the Giants lost, but at least my third favorite team won. (behind the Giants and A\'s)
-
GO ANGELS!
Hell, no one deserved it more. No team works harder.
GO NON GIANTS! GO TEAMS WITHOUT BARRY BONDS ON THEM! GO ANGELS!
Rally Monkey for MVP
Ah, this is great!
-
Damn American League winning it all.
-
I only wanted the Giants to win because I\'m a Niners fan. Thats it.
I\'m disappointed. But god damn am I relieved that I don\'t have to hear or see about baseball for another 6 months.
-
thanks to Baseball, the Simpsons Halloween special is pushed back to Nov 3rd...WTF!!?? Halloween is Oct 31st, but the Simpsons Halloween special is 3 days after the holiday, it\'s f*cking idiotic!
-
I\'ll just say the As won to make myself feel better. ;)

Makes just as much sense as October 27th.
Besides, sometimes they play the episode on the weekday of Halloween, problem is -- who the hells going to watch it if everybody\'s out getting candy and all of that shit?
See Yuz.
-
I watched the last inning last night. IT WAS UNBEARABLE!!!!!!!!
WTF is up with those stupid things they were banging together????? I couldn\'t handle it. I had to throw my dog out of frustrations.
Did no one else get totally annoyed? I couldn\'t imagine being there and listening to that crap for 3+ hours. THE HORROR!!!
OK, is this the last year for baseball? Can we just dump it now? We don\'t really need BB for anything do we?
-
On a side note, did anyeone see reggie sanders hit with those bat looking things when he was fielding a ball? Just a little uncalled for by the Angel\'s fans.
-
a. They\'re called Thundersticks. Yes, they are as annoying as hell.
b. They\'re full of air. If you really think getting hit with Air is uncalled for, whatever.
c. The girl that hit Sanders was a 12 year old girl who doesn\'t know shit, and obviously has very rich parents.
d. Go Angels. Barry Bonds proved how much of an ass he was at the end of the game. "If you don\'t get out of the way, I might snap". Hell of a way to leave the game being gracious under defeat.
See Yuz.
