I\'ll be getting a new processor in JAN, I have a 1GHZ at the mo, I\'ll get whatever is the fastest at the time, oh and a new mobo since mine sucks and wouldn\'t handle a better processor.

My mb handles up to Xp2.6ghz right now. Donno if it will go any higher as the Faster Xps have a higher FSB.

Not if you got a old mobo, just check the multiply table on the mobo.

I don\'t know anything about soundcards but I know I need one.  While listening to music it skips and my bro told me its cuz my soundcard sucks.  Anyways what I\'m trying so say is are soundcards just as expensive as video cards?

no, soundcards are so cheap, like £40, you can get a basic card for £5

I need a whole new system. My PII 233 is way too slow now. My voodoo 2 12mb is a bit crap for the latest games too.

I will probably buy a new one before christmas.

For that matter Kurt, you should own an entirely new computer, that thing has gotta be 7 years old.

Get a nice one around $500-1000, go from there for a nice GFX and Memory.

My rig:

1ghz AMD
320mb SD RAM
GF3 TI500 128MB

In Jan I will be getting which ever is the best AMD ( pentium my arse ) and a new motherboard, my rig runs all new games fine but a new processor couldn\'t hurt. £80 for a processor and I\'d say about £40 for a decent Mobo. God upgrading sucks.
