Title: Cable Modem Question

I have a cable modem and do you HAVE to have a router to connect? Because as of right know I do not have one and i can not even get passed the connection test.

check with yer ISP to see if yer connection is bound to the MAC address of yer network card

i have a cable modem and i dont have a router and i make it work.


what i have to do is hook up the modem to the ps2, make sure its ONLY hooked up to the ps2 and not also your puter. then turn off the modems power and the ps2\'s power, then turn them both back on.

i have to do that to get my modem to recognize the ps2.

I went out and bought a router today so i should have no probalem when i do it now...just AUTO setup everything right?

$40 is still more than nothing... which is what i have right about now.


i thought about whoreing myself out, but im too picky and all we have in wisconsin is fat ugly people. kinda hard to be a male prostitute that only accepts hot girls as clients.
