Title: Need help with Nero

I\'ve used nero before(on my old comp). I\'ve got a Samsung 40x burner on my new one but after following all the usual steps and I click on the "write" icon it only lists "Burn" as a choice "test & burn" cannot be selected(its grayed out). So I click Next(with only burn selected) and a screen comes up asking where I want to save the image file(i don\'t want an image file-i just want to burn the mp3s onto a cd-r) I click cancel and it says "Aborted by User". How can I get it to allow me to burn to a cd-r and not save it as an image?

Make sure the create image box is not ticked on the burn screen.

Well I reinstalled and got this message...

"You have selected the Nero image recorder. This virtual device can only be used to write image files.  If you want to burn on a CD or CDRW you\'ll need to select your real recorder"

thats why it\'ll only burn an image.  I don\'t know how to get it to recognize my burner(samsung 40x-came with my dell). any suggestions on what to do?

Try to update your nero program. It seems that the writer is very new and an old nero version would be not compatible. Upgrade it.

Click on the recorder option at the top of the main nero program and click on choose recorder, you should be able to select your cd-rw drive from there.

i\'m d/ling Nero v55914 now, hope it works (i was using v5572)

I use to keep updated Nero \'cause they fix bugs and errors that can destroy a nice CD-R

me and jar o pickles had this exact same problem a couple days ago trying to get nero on my puter... we never figured it out.


well jar said he figured it out then babbaled something to me about something or other, i dont remember i wasnt listening. bottom line it still aint workin\'.
