The info (http://www.computerandvideogames.com/r/?page=http://www.computerandvideogames.com/news/news_story.php{que}id=82049)
Havent seen the first one but a friend of mine saw it and liked it.He told me about the ending refering to the nemesis project and got me interested.
Reading that Jill will appear and Nemesis on the sequel make me to give it a try and watch the sequel.Resi3 created many questions about the story behind Nemesis and why he is searching specifically for stars members.
I hope the sequel\'s story is true to the game series.

Saw the first...will see the second.
-
hope its better than the first
-
I liked the first, I\'ll be sure to see this, hope they up it to an 18 and fill it with violence.
-
I\'ve heard a lot of people complain about the RE movie, but I just thought it was a good, fun, zombie movie, and I actually liked it better than I thought I would when it was first announced. I\'ll see the second one.

I saw the first. Liked the first. Sure, it has tons of flaws (both as a movie, and it being Resident Evil) but still, I enjoyed it. Will see this one.
-
I watched it, liked it. I\'ll watch the second one aswell. Why do so many people look for flaws during movies? Ive never understood that.
-
I don\'t look for flaws when watching a movie unless they are blantent. Anything that takes away from my enjoyment of a movie, I would consider a flaw. Things like charecter development and stuff, a FEW things I look for in movies, well, Resident Evil didn\'t really have much of it (and no, I wasn\'t expecting some deep charecter development. Just, at the very least, have the main charecter Alice [Milla Jolovich\'s charecter] named mentioned once [if you haven\'t noticed, her name was NEVER mentioned in the movie]). And as a Resident Evil fanatic (well, okay, more of a fan then a fanatic, but still...) things like the color of the T-Virus and like the date, "flaws" I have noticed in the movie.
That being said, I still enjoyed the movie. Even to the point of buying the DVD, seeing it mulitiple times, and soon will own the 2-disc when it is out just for the extras not found on the original release. ;)

I thought it was an alright flick.. tho I was pretty dissapointed when 3/4ths of the team bit it all at once, negating the chance to have a long drawn out chase scene where people get picked off one by one in inventive and extremely gory ways. It also sucked not seeing the Hunters since they were an intrical part of the Mansion experiments in RE1.
Still, for a videogame movie I think it did very well in staying true to the storyline. Instead of "rewriting" a game.. they had it take place before the events of RE1 (and RE0?) and made it it\'s own seperate story which can be tied into the games without having to change them too much.
-
Some people really made this movie out to be REALLY bad, but in reality it was OK. It shows some cheapness, but it was entertaining nonetheless... especially the laser cutting part.
-
IMO, its the best video game 2 movie transition ever. It had this stylish, almost neo modern feel to it. I really enjoyed it. Milla Jovovich was an excellent casting choice.
I loved the ending as well, left so many unanswered questions and really made you think. The sequal will certainly rock.
-
Martial arts in an RE movie?
Lame...
-
The movie sucked, however I liked the ending a lot, had a hopeless feeling to it.

I am not sure but I think the sequel might change the story a bit.It seems Alice will meet Jill and Nemesis.Jill knew nothing about Nemesis until Resi3 and never met Alice in that episode.Jill shouldnt meet Nemesis in the sequel.Except if she meets Alice after the happenings in Resi3 which again cant happen because Nemesis was killed and the Racoon City was vanished after the ending of Resi3.

I thought it was okay. Paul Anderson isn\'t that great of a director - so I wasn\'t expecting much.
-
Yah, and anyone who hasn\'t played Resident Evil 3, can now thank Unicron for spoiling the ending :)
-
I thought it sucked hardcore too.. Kinda lame, very crappy plot. They could have added so much more depth to it. Hell, if they kept it too the RE game. It\'ll would have been wicked. It was really boring for me. Ending was good though, only thing that\'ll make me see the second one.

Oops:o...ehm uhm....sorry?:D

I have yet to see a Resident Evil film, I will wait till it comes on sky I think.
-
From what I hear, Resident Evil: Nemesis will NOT interfere with the games (at least, majorly) since, Jill and Alice will NEVER meet. The only thing connecting the stories is, Nemesis.
Now, I do not believe that Paul Anderson is a great director (quite the opposite actually), because of this, I didn\'t expect a great game. But still, enjoyed it at the end.
And yes, I do believe he could\'ve made a better movie (which is true for a lot of movies), but I\'m not sure sticking to the original games would\'ve helped much. Espeically if they change everything (like the original George Remero script, which, while based on Resident Evil 1, VERY loosely based if you actually read it).
-
What was John Romero\'s script about?
-
Basically like Resident Evil 1 the game. Except, Chris and Jill were never a part of STARS. Chris was a bird watcher before entering the mansion from the game. Jill was like a runaway who winds up at the mansion (I\'m not sure what her role was in his version of the movie, but it wasn\'t a part of Stars that for sure). Barry was black. And the only monster other then the zombies was the Tyrant and the only reason why he included Tyrant was...well, tried to connect to the game somehow. Majority of the movie was a zombie flick (with a few jokes like sunglasses on the zombies. And a horse zombie.Kinda lame IMO). Now, granted, it could still be a better "movie" then what we currently got, but IMO, it wasn\'t really Resident Evil.

Yeah, I\'m interested in that, too. I knew George Romero was involved in the original script, but I hadn\'t heard many details.

The script is availble to the public.
Here is a link to the full script.
http://phoenixgenesis.com/vgames/stories/resident-evil/rescript.html
Now, I will say, I did not personally read his script. My comments all came from people who did (then again, this is the first draft. I know he made another draft of the script. Not sure if that is online though). Which, after skimming a little, I was wrong on one thing at least, it appears that Jill is a part of Stars. As well as Wesker and Barry. Chris however, doesn\'t appear to be a part of Stars (just wonders around until he arrives at the mansion). In fact, Chris is Native American. And Barry is indeed black. Also, Ada (Resident Evil 2) is also in it? WTF? So, it is, in a way based on Resident Evil 1, but certainly, took many liberties.
Now, I will say, nice to see some many familar names (something the current Resident Evil movie lacked). But, he changed most of them.

Thanks.
BTW:I just remembered another script which refered to the super computer which appeared in the RE movie and the absence of zombies being replaced by robots, androids whatever.Someone posted that one in the forums a long time ago.Thank God THAT wasnt the movie.

The first was so-so. I watched it, enjoyed it, but not really worth watching again. Its alright.
Hopefully the next one will be better...
