Just curious on how many members we have that are into the so called \'import scene\'. I\'ve recently found myself more involved in importing DC titles (Shenmue 2, Shenmue, Sonic Adventure 2: Birthday Pack and etc) and of course my growing collection of Saturn imports which I hope to eventually have a collection of classics, rarieties and obsecure Saturn titles.
Anyone else into importing? If so - what\'s your prized posession and how much did it cost ya\'??

I used to buy import games for my chipped PSX1 but I wont even dare to chip my PS2.
A friend of mine who is a huge Sega fan used to buy a huge collection of import games for Saturn and DC.He even has 3 Saturns.White one included.

I used to import a lot, but since modifying voids warranty, I\'ve been doing it a lot less. When my warranty is up, I might consider modifying my ps2\\cube\\xbox, but not yet. There\'s no telling just how sturdy some of this hardware is. My PS2 warranty is up on the 26th of this month so I might trade in my PS2 solely to get a new one and make sure that it lasts for the next couple of years. In any case, I did heavy importing for the PSX\\DC. My two favorite purchases were SFIII Double Impact and Ikaruga. VOOT was great with the twin sticks as well.

I don\'t generally import since there are no import shops around and I don\'t have a CC/online bank account from which to purchase things on the net. Not to mention that I absolutely REFUSE to ******* any console of mine as I prefer to keep them in original condition for prosperity.. as well as keep them functioning. Also, since most of the good imports we don\'t get in the US come from Japan.. I don\'t bother trying to bumble my way through a game I can\'t understand. Expecially when it comes to Adventures or RPG\'s due to a heavy reliance on written text involved.
That said, I do have a few imports like Shenmue II and HeadHunter (which are also my only and most prized imports) for my DC since you can use a BootDisk to get around territorial lockouts easily. The only other imports I have are ROMs for the Sega Genesis and GameGear. Fully translated by hacks of course. Phantasy Star Adventure, Phantasy Star Gaiden, and Lunar:The Magic School being my favorites.

I actually don\'t have any systems that are modded, but that is due to the fact I just buy the import system for my collection.

I modded my PSX back in \'96 so I could play Tobal No2. It was one of the best looking games ever on PSX! The gameplay was top notch for its time! Fortunately, for me, the $80 I spent on it was well spent, as the game was never made for the American version (like Bushido Blade 2 and Time Crisis - both of which I paid a ridiculous amount only to see an American version come out for a lot less money :p ).

yeah i had my ps1 modded, but only for importing games like parasite eve, re3, re2, silent hill, mgs etc before they came out over here, my nan goes to america every so often, so id give her money and a list.... she come back with a few, i was young then and didnt have a card, or a job, so couldnt buy them off te net, been a while since i got a import.... sold my ps1 when i got the ps2 to a mate, i wanna get imports, but dont wanna get mt ps2 chipped, i guess i could buy a imported com, but that will cost too much...grrrrrrr
