I just bought this yesterday but I have yet to open it. I looked on the back and it doesn\'t mention anything about online capability such as SoCom does. Isn\'t this supposed to be an online game?
-
It was originally pitched as an online game, but the online plans were scrapped not too long before it was released. Still looks like it\'s going to be a good game, though.

I ve playied a demo of the game and it rocks.
-
Definitely no online with this but a good game nonetheless.
-
Yeah I loved the demo too but since I bought the online adaptor, that was more my focus for buying this game. I\'m considering returning it if its not an online game and picking it later.
-
im gonna go get it tomorrow, was gonna put off buying it. could of got it wed, why didnt i.......
-
Well I went ahead and opened it and it does have a setup menu to go online but when you try to join a game, all it does is search for a server...kinda just stays that way until you hit triangle to back out. Oh well.... why did they leave that stuff in the game if we aren\'t supposed to use it?
Dissapointed. :-(

For LAN parties, if you know a bunch of other people who are willing to drag their tv\'s and ps2\'s over to someones house.
-
Just bought it today, it\'s pretty damn cool, although I just got my ass kicked at the end of level 1. :( I think I\'ll go through it first on easy and then work my way up.. might end up being less frustrating... :)
At this point though, I think just about everything on it has improved from the first part. Better graphics, better framerate (PAL had some frame drops in heated battles), cooler and more weapons, huger levels, better 1st player mode. All in all a great purchase so far - can\'t wait to try this out with my friend through the i-link!
-
Don\'t let the lack on online play put you off, this game is great as a single player/split screen game in its own right.
-
Don\'t get me wrong, I still enjoy the game. I was sold on it since I played the first demo on it that came out in OPM in the spring. It just I got a little excited thinking I would have another reason for this network adaptor. The game is a definite improvement over the first. I played through the first couple of levels in the story mode(on Normal seven-its not that hard), but I have got to put it down for now until I finish with SoCom Navy Seals. The aiming controls are just the opposite, so it gets confusing going from one game to the next. So, I\'m over it.

Well there are many homes which houses more than 2 tvs and 2 ps2s in this world.
Its not even a problem,if you are working...getting a portable tv and hangs out deathmatching in a friends\' house.
Think of the bright side, you don\'t have to pay money and connection is simple.

All my buddies are into PC gaming and don\'t like consoles! How\'s the one player game? How\'s playing multiplayer with the Computer A.I? I\'m thinking about picking it up.
-
got it sat roxors. havent played the story mode to much, on neo tokyo.. been playing challeneges and arcade the most.. some modes are confusing, amybe its cos i was playing at 3am and v drunk on fri night/sat morning, but there is like 4 monkeys, and u have to be the last to be on fire, but u cant get a flame thrower to get them alight..... it was hard
-
I played the OPM demo and it was fun, but its hard. I had mixed feeling on the 1st games (single bad mulit good) and i was counting on online play for most of the games enjoyment....so im probably gunna save my money for other online games. It doesnt matter to me tho...i owned a Dreamcast...im used to cancellations
-
would this games single player mode rival goldeneye\'s?
all i know is that i have timesplitters 1 and it is a soild mulitiplayer/party game but if im alone and dont feel like having a deathmatch there isnt much more to the game? How much better is the single player mode?
-
the harder the level the more of the map you get to play and more monsters

Hey...come to think of it, I\'ve 3 TVs..but one is so old it only has RF input.
But that still leaves 2 Tv\'s. Hmm..should I buy another PS2 just to link it together?? Hee-hee.
-
personally i liked ts 1p, i really enjoyed it.. they have improved this 1p a lot more... there is more storyline, u can actually sneak now, not just run in guns blazing.. ver cool, loads more challenges etc now
-
ok here is a sorta stupid question about the arcade and challenge modes....if I get silver on one can I go back and get gold?????? or am I screwed with silver?
:hat:ScotyJ:hat:
-
yes you can go back and get gold later and get golds..... thats what im doing anyways, cos you get more stuff for golds, same goes for challenge mode
-
Phew! I thought I was going to be stuck with the score I got...I havent started playin hem yet but I have seen a couple of places that say you cant.......
:hat:ScottyJ:hat:
-
naaa you can, that would just be stupid, but once u got gold u cant get lower, but you still get the things you didnt get... i mean if you got straight gold
-
yeah...I wonder if there is a special thing if you get all gold!
:hat:ScottyJ:hat:
-
well i guess if you get all golds you get all the characters, ive got 3 golds on a few of them, and its just you get all the peep and that tyoe of game to use in multi player etc
