How can the government allow this? They\'re laughing at those who died...

Now that is just plain wrong. If the police or government found out about this they would probably shut down that site.
-
Not even 9 hours since I posted it and a repost already :)

Sorry luckee, didn\'t see it.
-
That is disgusting.
That is just plain wrong.

It might be in bad taste, but it\'s a free country (and thank god for that). I don\'t particularly like the concept but I\'m not condemning it. If the police or government would close the site down, I\'d say socety has failed. Bigtime.
PS. I\'ll let this thread stay open because there\'s already more talk about it here than in the other thread.
-
Thanx Sam. I think there\'s a big difference between a free country (yes, thanx GOD) and a do-what-you-wanna-do country. That must be banned in a free and non-free country, at least till the guy is captured and the families forget the pain.
Do you imagine you\'re an affected by the sniper and one day walking by the street, you see one of that t-shirts? Come on...
-
Adan, I don\'t think you\'re seeing the whole picture here. How about the twin towers shown in movies? Shouldn\'t we erase them from the movies too, so the families of 9/11 victims won\'t be hurt watching them? Please... and who should be the judge of what should be \'banned\'? I do not like censorship in any shape or form. If you don\'t like what you see, you should close your eyes. Otherwise things could potentially end up like Orwell\'s 1984...*
*That\'s a long shot yes, but everything has to start somewhere.
-
I think there\'s a big difference between a WTC frame in a film and a t-shirt in the street laughing at the victims... but it\'s only my opinion.
And yes, I don\'t have a whole picture of the facts over there.
-
There is no such thing as utopianism in my opinion.
-
This t-shirt is blatantly taking the piss out of a very bad situation.
Twin towers in movies don\'t try to make a joke out of it. Totally different situation.
-
IMO it\'s not so different. If we were to shut down a site selling t-shirts with a message some people don\'t like, it would be a sad, sad world. Even sadder than someone making rude t-shirts.

Here, Here!!!
Almost as bad as manditory seatbelt laws. The only reason they "care" is so ppl are alive to continue paying taxes.
-
The only bad thing about the shirt is someone is making money off of it. It\'s done in bad taste sure, but it\'s not like it\'s listing the names of people and puting a big ol clown pointing and laughing.
I own a t-shirt. A HARDROCK Cafe T-shirt. It is from 92 or something. It\'s a Baghdad HARDROCK Cafe T-SHIRT. It has a small sign hanging of the logo that says "closed down". Now some people might now like this shirt. I do.
T-Shirts are just another way to use your freedom of speech. If they were to do anything about that SNIPER shirt, they would have a lawsuit on their hands.
The shirt may be done in bad taste, but there is really nothing anyone can do about it.
-
If anyone wheres that T-shirt around the Washington DC area, they will express their freedom to beat the hell out of the person wearing the shirt. Call it...freedom of expression.
With freedom, comes responsibility.
-
yeah, that\'s in bad taste... but so is a lot of crap. I just hope that nobody has bad enough taste to buy one...
Speaking of bad taste, Howard Stern has this guy on every once in a while called "yucko the clown". His bit is that he\'s a drunk, homeless, anti-semitic, racist pedophile clown. Well, yucko was calling in to the show the other day from different DC suburb gas stations wearing his filthy clown siut with a huge bull\'s eye on it and a sign that said "shoot me, asshole".
I wish he would have been shot.
-
Chizzy, in tv? That clown/guy is really stupid.
-
I laughed my ass off.
It\'s tasteless yah, but it\'s just a joke. If you can\'t find the humor in certain situations then why aren\'t you sad for every other dying person in the world?
-
^^^Word.
The whole websites gimmick is that they sell funny and "insensitive" t-shirts like that. I admit that I have bought a couple shirts from them.
Still saying that they should be shut down for making this shirt is ridiculous. This isn\'t communist china. I could make a shirt that says "2002 Sniper Tour: Coming to your chest next!" and list the people who got killed followed by the date and probably sell hundreds of em.
BTW, Didn\'t like that shirt? How about this one:
CLICK ME!! WOOOOO!!! (http://www.tshirthell.com/shirts/tshirt.php?sku=a102)

I didn\'t find the sniper shirt to be particularly funny, but the NYC one did get a chuckle outta me. There was one pic over at CJ\'s I remember from about a year ago that showed people jumping from the WTC towers and had "olympic like" score cards below from the Iranian, Kruatian, Iraqi, Saudi, ect.. judges. I thought that was pretty funny.
Does that mean I was any less shocked to hear about it happening? Does that make me any less angry at Al-Queda and terrorist run gov\'ts? Does that make me feel less sorry for the families who lost loved ones in the tragedy? I don\'t think so.

Simple. We have virtually absolute freedom of speach. I have seen plenty of shirts that are totally tasteless, relating to everything, from 9/11 to the sniper. It\'s all legal though, and I think it should be.
By the way, I happen to think it is a good skill in life to be able to laugh at yourself :)
-
I actually like the shirts on that site.. I\'ve always wanted to order one. Only if I sent in that idea first, I could have gotten free stuff.
-
You find that suprising? I saw a video of people jumping out of WTC went it was on fire. They played the tunes "it\'s raining men" and "free falling"
-
Even for me thats pretty bad, it\'s in bad taste.

Now thats starting to cross the line.
-
Lol @ raining men, even though it\'s sick. :D

Nobody in the world has a better sense of humor than me. But that shirt crosses the lines of good taste. There\'s like a 5-10 year grieving period before you can start making fun of situations like that.
But that site is full of stuff like that. Hell they\'re 10 times worse than somethingawful and the admins don\'t want that site linked to.

The line is far away, and when finally reached, it it VERY thin and hardly visable. This doesnt come close. As for something aweful, I really, REALLY doubt that.

I can\'t believe some guys did a movie based on WTC tragedy... incredible.
