Title: I think this is a camaro

OK you trekies.....

http://freestyle2000.com/startrek/lcars.htm

We are here shooting our show and a guy is here who guilt this car back in 1991.  It\'s pretty amazing.  It\'s completely computer controlled.  No gear shifter, no door locks, handles, or anything.  Everything us done with the computer.  Miles and miles of wire and hundreds of hours of computer code to get this thing to work.

Not my style, but pretty interesting to say the least.

Don\'t forget this was built 10 years ago.

Looks pretty cool. I seen that it says it is for sale and financing is availible. I didn\'t see anywhere on the site that list the price though. I\'m just curious as to how much something like that cost.

I\'m guessing a couple hundred thousand easy.

He put over 150 grand into it, but I think he only wants to try and get 75k out of it.

The dude that owns it is pretty funny.  It is very freaking high tech.  The amount of servos and shit in the thing is truly amazing.  And to think he did it in 1991.  Absolutely everything is run from the computer.  He has it running his transmission and everything so he could take out his shifter.  No door handles, no nothing.  Everything computer controlled.

Kind of funny, his tag also drops down and a light light shoots out of it like a photon torpedo or something.  He also has a bin underneath that can drop stuff on the road at a flip of the switch.  He can also dump oil and smoke just like a james bond car.  Pretty funny, but also rather whacked.

We must have a lot of James Bond wannabes in Wichita.

Too bad the thing probably runs on a Pentium 133!  :(

Bah, if he built it in 91 then he\'s probly got a 486 under the hood.. but still pretty damned unlikely since they were pricey at that time. I\'d say he\'s got a 386 or 286 33mhz equivilent MAX powering that bad boy.

Oh.. and dropping oil and smoke in the road is no big deal.. just go without a tune up for about 15 years.

It says Pentium on the site.... but probably a small one as Coredweller said. I wouldn\'t mind having that car; at least not if I were a millionaire! Did you read that it can flip the plates? I\'m sure THAT will help since there are so many other cars like it on the road. :D
