when i started the game i had no expectation coz i never played 1 and 2 . i start my ps2 and pop my disk in . The opening movie starts to play and i realize its one of the best opening movie i ever saw !! music is superb and in perfect sinc with the japenese animation . Now i press start a new game and here we go I can now choose from 3 different characters to begin the game ! I choose Hugo wich is the son of a clan leader in the region of grassland . I am given a neat little intro of the kid riding in the plains . I go home and the mothers wants to talk to me and all , the usual . ( just for that don\'t know , this game has no voice acting ) So after she talks to me and sends me on a mission , i go to bed and early in the morning i leave for my destinations . Now i got to tell you , the graphics of the background are pretty good and so are the characters , but they are not match for FFX or even Kingdom Hearts . Now i start to listen a bit to the music and its pretty good , i love most of them exept one that annoyed me alot in the brass castle . What i noticed by walking around is that the controle is a bit jerky and slow to respond and the camera angles suck big time , wich at the begining is anoying . I set aside all this and went to test the gameplay of the battles . What i noticed is that i have been playing to many FF games !! The gameplay seemed awkward at the begining but i got used to it and then i found it quite awesome . The char animations are not the best and when i a big battle there can be some slowdowns . Next i went to test the difficulty and at my first challenge of beating the stupid knights i get my butt kick twice ! So my thought was , ohhhhh okkkkk ..... way too much Final Fantasy for my i lost my touch ....
All this to say that i love this game altough I have to admit my impressions seams to say the opposite . In all fairness , the graphics are good anough for them not to be anoying , the music is on par with all good Rpg and altough the animations and the camera angles can piss you off it takes nothing away for the great fun of gameplay and the great story to be told .

sounds very cool coming from a big fan of the ff series, to say this is good, i also never played the first 2, but this is geting me very intrested

your hand\'s on mini review was superb, i just wanted to make it a bit more Accessible to those who like me are of Hard of reading

Well i just have to say that i just finished Chapter 1 with Hugo and its captivating and awesome ! its hard , its fun and story up to now is awesome ! Damn xezens !

I\'ve never heard of this game, or the previous two for that matter. From what you say it sounds pretty good though.
And your english certainly does not suck!:D

I\'m interested in it. Hell, I consider the first two in the series to be my favorite games of all time. I\'ve been waiting for the third installment ever since I watched the ending credits cross the screen in Part II.
I should be picking S3 up in a couple hours, so I might post some first impressions later today. Thankfully I already know that it\'ll be an amazing game.

I got to say i love trinity sight ! ( being able to see the story from others people\'s eyes ! ) and altough i still hate the Zexens , i just realise that ...................... nope that would be a spoiler :P anyway the story up to now is very good and i am really caught up in the game ! can\'t stop ! its a disease ! :o

OK i just started chapter one with Geddoe !! THIS GAME IS AWESOME !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And so hard , my third time i died already and in FFX i did not die once !!! ahhhhhhhhh ... * goes back to play * ;)

I just bought it.
About to go and give this game a good long sit down.
Absolutely loved the first two.
The whole, get your own fort, turn it into a castle, take over a nation thing always appealed to me.
Does the same thing apply here?

I played the first one and had really high expectations. Won\'t say I was let down so much as it didn\'t quite click with me. It was my second RPG of the type, turn based/ muliti character/ epic story driven and what I see in retrospect is I never played it the way it was meant to be played. Pushed through with a minimum of leveling and number of characters, used the dice game as an endless supply of money. In short, I never gave it the attention it deserved but even so I can say with out question it was a very solid RPG. I look forward to picking III up before it suddenly disapears (like II seemed to) and play this one for all it\'s worth.
For those that never played I&II, one unique feature of III is being able to transfer old saves from I&II to III, adding extra charachers.
