No biggie.. MGS2 was quite an underperformer. i think the insane hype thats going to be made by the x-box fanboys
will probably turn this game into a flop... it usually happens. take MGS2, hyped up to the max and turned out to be arse

The gameplay was great. Story was far fetched. I don\'t think it will sway the large majority of current PS2 owners to buy an Xbox too. They have plenty of games to play before the PS2 version is released.

Strange if it\'s true seeing how Silent Hill 2 Xtra version was released on the X box only to sell not very well when compeired to the PS2 version...only to be penciled in for a conversion to the PS2.
Sorry but i don\'t think Konami will make the same mistake twice.

MGS3 will prob be on the X box but something tells me that it like MGS2 substance will have the PS2 treatment.

LOL, if this is true, then I honestly feel sorry for Konami. Putting this first on Xbox is a disgrace to the fans on PS2. If they do this, they\'re shooting themselves. It will not sell on Xbox and it won\'t make anyone who\'s already got a PS2 buy an Xbox either.

This is all rumor and speculation if you ask me. After doing a little snooping around, I have found many places that say MGS3 is going to be exclusive to gamecube.
I mean come on, which is it? Gamecube or Xbox?? I wouldn\'t take anything seriously untill KONAMI makes an official statement themselves.

Well folks the angel of knowledge is here. I have very useful insider knowledge from the developers. But not directly im afraid. I can however reveal a few things that you can expect.
* Time Travel (Just Wait and see.)
*The Return Of Big Boss
* Snakes Real name and origins.
*Big boss\'s real name etc
* The truth behind the patriots.
* The Death of Snake...But not Quite. You\'ll see what i mean when you see it.
* A new type of metal gear (Temporal Gear) for time travelling
* A trip to the future and the past
Well thats all I have so far folks but I will keep you posted.

well i\'ve done alot of research on MGS3 on the net. And here\'s what I found on most of the sites. The title will most likely be "Metal Gear Solid 3: The patriots" it\'s comeing out on the PS2 and maybe X-box. You play as Snake through out the hole game. And I heard that Vamp returns but he\'s on yur team now because he found out that every1 was lying to him, and he wants revenge on the patriots. i also heard that Raiden will be part of the game but u wont play as him. I also heard but is very unlikely that at the beginning Vamp kills raiden by stabbing him, but I find that unlikely, I heard that the main objectives will be to save Olgas child and destroy the various metal gears (no approximate number)
Oh and I read on this forum that people are haveing trouble opening lockers, to open locked lockers you need to beat it open, if the door falls inward theres nuthing in the locker, and if it falls toward you than there\'s stuff in it.

I can\'t help thinking, I bet it would be better if done exclusively for Xbox.
The Xbox is some powerful hardware, but they\'ll have to give an Xbox away with every copy of MGS3 to make it sell better than it would on PS2.

yeah you\'re right. I hope they make it for Xbox exclusive. They can use all the amazing power in there to create some phenomenal graphics locked at unbelievable 30 fps! :eek:
Also, there are people who bought a PS2 because of MGS2. Taking this exclusive to Xbox will be a BIG mistake, no matter how amazing it looks at 30 fps.

we should file it with MGS2 Substance under the "shameless money making ploys that we will still buy anyway" file
its just the same as SH2 but we get 15 min\'s extra oh and you get to play as Maria

Konami has never been one to shy away from sales. Hell, if anything Konami usually ignores the lesser selling platforms all together or simply throws them the scraps of left over ports (*points to Saturn, CastleVania & Silent Hill 2, Xbox * ).

also if there is a chance to make a special Limited Edition 2 DVD box set (with the making of on the 2nd DVD..ala MGS2 & Silent Hill 2).
then Konami are in there like a Dog eating beetroot.

The only reason it is being doubted because it\'s xbox. But I don\'t see whats the big idea. It not exclusive. So a short time doesn\'t matter.
Not even worth the news unless they said exclusive.
