IGN says:

October 30, 2002 - French gaming site PlayFrance, among others, appears to be jumping the official gun a trifle on the news of Sony Computer Entertainment Europe\'s plans to bring PlayStation 2 online gaming to PAL territories. According to the report, SCEE plans to bring the Network Adaptor and several online games to market in the United Kingdom in the spring of 2003, with continental Europe and Australia to follow by the end of 2003.
The European Network Adaptor will apparently be identical to the American version of the peripheral, with support for both broadband and narrowband connections, and ship with a similar utility/demo disc. The following games are planned for release with the Adaptor when it hits the UK:

SOCOM: US Navy SEALs
Destruction Derby 4
Twisted Metal Black: Online
Frequency 2
My Street
ATV Offroad Fury 2
This Is Football 2003
World Rally Championship Online

When contacted, Sony Computer Entertainment America representatives had no official comment on the story or the previously-unannounced games discussed therein. Look forward to the official word from SCEE in short order.
