Title: ape escape 2???
Post by: kopking on October 30, 2002, 01:03:44 PM: when the ps2 first come out i remeber seeing dvd on ape escape 2, it was called ape escape 2, but weas different from the first one..... u had to get all the monkeys underwear etc, and put it in a washing meachine... anyone remeber??

well now ive seen more on ape escape2, but its like excactlt the same as the first one...

are they making 2 new ones or what??

Post by: Unicron! on October 30, 2002, 01:17:37 PM: There were 2 new Ape Ascapes.The one is Ape Escape2 and the other one had a different name(I cant remember right now).Not a sequel.People called it Ape Ascape2 though creating confusion.

Ape Escape 2 is out in Japan, or will be soon. They have not "canned" it, though.

so did you play it?? how was it??

looked ok to me, but could see it getting v boring/samey

Post by: Living-In-Clip on November 02, 2002, 05:51:36 PM: I never played it. It wasn\'t released outside of Japan, but from what I read about it, it ended up being a complete commercial and critical diaster. Apparently the gameplay was broken and very boring.

As for the true sequel, Ape Escape 2, it is apparently just a higher resolution version of the previous game, with some new gadgets thrown in for good measure....Sounds good to me.
