Title: Should I gave gone to detention?

Ok, my teacher gave me detention. Not a school detention but a teacher detention (I stay for 20 mins in the classroom). I got it today and I didn\'t really do anything (she\'s a French teacher). Since my teacher doesn\'t teach and she gave us a lot of work in the book that I had NO idea what to do, I was saying stuff like "this is stupid", "we never learned any of this" and shit like that. I was talking to myself and she thought I was talking to a friend. She said that if i talked again she\'d give me detention. I then was telling her that I was talking to myself and she said "Alright Chris, that\'s it. You have detetion." I didn\'t go. Now I\'m wondering if she\'ll turn me in. If she does, I\'m going straight to administration. What are your guys\'s thoughts.

Well if you go to administration they\'ll laugh, it\'s no big deal. In my school skipping D-hall earns you a few days of On Campus Suspension. It\'s smart just to do it and get it over with. If you forget, well then you\'re screwed. :laughing:

Is your French teacher hot?  If so, you should have gladly taken the in-class suspension.  She could whisper sweet french nothings in your ear.

Or you could stop being an ass and take advantage of the low-cost french lessons you\'ll have to pay for by the credit hour in 2 years.

speaking of detentions, i got a bs one(three actually). Im the usual student that gets 0% on participation and just do my work and get decent grades. Then today in my spanish test, i didnt know one word so i took like a point 1 second peak and didnt see anythign and told myself "screw it". Guess what? I got a fricken referrall which is 3 detentions and my parents have to sign it for a peak for .1 seconds and turning away knowing its a bad idea. Mybe i should get 1 detention for peaking in the first place, but a fricken referral? cmon.(had to get that off my chest cuz the vice principal is probably gunna talk to me tomorrow about it)

dude detention is pussy ass shit, like my collegue said.  If your HS is anything like mine was, you\'ll just go to on campus suspension for the day.  Personally I like OCS, hell I spent most of my first two years in there.  If I didn\'t study for a test, I would just tell a teacher to eat my asshole, get OCS and miss the test....good times....good times...

I don\'t see what the big deal is tho.. on both sides. I mean, it sounds like your teacher is a real anal retentive bytch if she\'s just going to up and give you a detention like that. On the other hand, it\'s just a 20 min detention. Go or don\'t go.. it doesn\'t really matter does it? I don\'t see what the big deal is. I used to skip out on detentions all the time and just push it to the edge of suspension until I HAD to go. Then I\'d jus sit there and do crossword puzzle races with the teacher or sleep for two & a half hours.

Course, if you really wanted to jus do it my way you\'d push the line to point of crossing.. get kicked out.. and then end up going to an Alternitive HS where you only go 3 hours a day, hold a job, do school work at your own pace (making credits far easier to get if you actually DO what you\'re supposed to), and get two smoke breaks a day.
