Title: Shock! Horror! Fifa 2003 is actually a great Footy Sim!

I know I reviewed it on here a couple of days ago, but I\'ve just been playing it on the harder difficulties, and trust me this years Fifa is very very good!
I\'d recommend it to any football fan and also don\'t play any of the tournament on the easy amateur difficulty cause then you WILL be dissapointed...gone are the days of the old 10-0 wins or whatever...The player animations are great, you have to string some beautiful passes together to unlock the defence, when you do score a goal, it will be worth it due to all your hard work, the soundtrack is excellent and helps build up the game.
I gave it 7/10 before but after playing it against a few mates, and on the harder difficulty settings, this game is being played AS much as Pro Evolution Soccer 2 in my house...
It\'s up to you but trust me, I\'ve had them all and know them inside and out and this game isn\'t just an update...it\'s very good indeed...still not as impressive as PES2, but almost, yes you heard me say ALMOST! lol :bounce: :D :laughing: :p :hat:

bahhhhhhh still to arcadey for me, im def gonna skip it.
used to be good in 2 player, as so easy to pick up, but everyone i know know plays pre, as they have een how much better it is

thats cool but Pro Evolution Soccer 2 is EXCELLENT! I agree! Can\'t stop playing it

I used to like Fifa. 2002 one was pathetic. I will try this one, although i\'m going to purchase PES2 next week.

it\'s probably the best fifa game and is better than this is football 2003 but is still behind pro evolution in terms of gameplay, the presentation, options and sound are all excellent and the gameplay is quite good and makes you work for goals (instead of running down the wing ,crossing and double tapping O to score with an overhead kick as in all the previous fifa games).
the only real problem i\'ve found is the camera angles, the close one\'s don\'t help with tactical play and the one\'s that are further out don\'t zoom in when the play is on the far side of the pitch making it difficult to judge tackles and when you try to go past a player.
overall it\'s pretty good and is worth buying if you like the series, if you\'re a pes fan like me then it\'s worth renting just to see how much it\'s improved
